One of them was the clone he punched while the other was a surviving one as it used the others as a shield from the steam explosion and buried itself in the ground slowly stalking him.

While all this was thought within a second by him, the clones of Linley appeared in front of him slashing with their Elemental Element : Void Knife...
Madara was cut in 3 parts from their attack but at that moment the time stopped and reverted back for a few seconds as it was his eye ability giving him time to ignore the pain he was feeling and create a few hand seals.
