-North Forest, Near Rocky Mountains-
We traveled deep inside the forest meeting some of the Elves on our way. We also took a lunch break and we still go on. Some of the Elves warned us not to go far too much because at the end of the forest, they can't help us in case monsters attack us but they still haven't stopped.
"Hey guys, I think we should really go back soon. We might get lost if we travel too far." I suggested. Going deeper would be a bad idea because I don't think we have a tracker in our team to guide us to our way back.
"You worry too much Leader. There you go! We're out of the forest!" Chelly is really stubborn and reckless. When it comes to adventure, she becomes so energetic and excited.
"Wow! Look at this place! This place is really full of rocks and tall mountains. I bet there are few players who have seen this place." Yeah, she's right. The place is really great. Though the place isn't that bright because there are thick clouds on the top of the mountains and you can tell that they're not rainclouds, probably caused by the volcano from afar.
*SCRATCH SCRATCH!* We heard some rustles behind some of the giant rocks nearby.
"Guys, hide for a moment," I am not feeling good about this so went back to the forest to hide behind some of the trees.
"Meee ee ee... you hear something? Mee mee mee..." Two short human-like creatures with legs and horns of goats showed up! Holy smokes!
"Mee ee ee... maybe some girl birds... Mee mee mee..." Bird girls? Are there girl birds here?
"Let's go!" Chelly!
"Wait, guys..."
They charged at the two goat creatures but...
"Mee ee ee... There they are... Come on... Mee mee mee..." A couple of dozens of them showed up behind the rocks! I can't count them! Maybe there are like fifty or sixty of them!
"Did you guys hear me said wait? Why aren't you listening to me at all?" I got pissed because they don't care what I'm saying since the start of this adventure and now a large number of goat-like creatures are going to hunt us down...
"This time, get ready for battle! Pie, try to zone the area with your shield. Uri, try to summon a couple of undead for our defense. Chelly, stay behind and get ready for some spells." This is going out of hand so fast!
*THROWS BOOK* Uri summoned a couple of undead with sword and shield which covered the others to defend them from the goat-like creatures. Pie also readied his thorny shield to defend from the attackers.
"Mee mee mee... SHOOOT! Mee mee mee..." Some of the attackers use a crossbow to attack us! We don't have a support to block the attack!
"PRESSURE ZONE!" Uri used a spell that knocked their arrows down when passing through that area disabling their long-range attacks.
"Nice job, Uri!" I said. The goat creatures started to charge at us. If they can surround our group, it will be bad for us. Better use their long range spells.
"Chelly! FIRE AT WILL!"
"CHERRY FLAMES!" Cherry used area of effect fire spells to burn the charging enemies!
*BUUUUURN BUUUURN!* Some of the enemies got hit and got burned but none of them died yet!
"What a bunch of sturdy little creatures!" Chelly was pissed. I can tell that these creatures are not really that weak.
"They are almost at us! Brace yourselves!" The goat creatures collided with Pie and the undead! The undead broke as soon as they got hit by their attacks! These creatures can also deal a pack of damage!
"NAGINATA ROUNDHOUSE!" Pie swirl his polearm knocking and damaging enemies in his range!
"PRESSURE ZONES!" Once again, the monsters near Uri stopped moving and they are bending like they were carrying something heavy!
*SLASHES* It's my time! I beheaded most of the enemies around! Uri's spell made them unable to move and I think it's the best time to attack and get some clean kills.
Pie, on the other hand, is in danger! The goat creatures surrounded him and jumped at him at the same time! It will be hard to defend from all of them!
"SPIKY SHIELD!" The thorns in his shield grew longer which pierced every single one of the monsters who attacked him! And I thought he's really in some kind of trouble...
"CHERRY BOMB!" Chelly jumped and came from above smashing the center of the battlefield creating a massive explosion!
*BOOOOOOOOOM!* Every monster caught by her attack was sent flying lifelessly.
I also helped by clearing out the remaining mobs but thankfully there were no casualties on our side. They were fast and tough but their moves were so easy to read. I also saw some good fight from my team. Not bad, really.
"Ok guys. I think that's enough for today's hunting. We should head back soon or else Scy will really be mad at us for being late." I suggested knowing he will.
"Sure Leader. That was a lot of monsters and loot too." We gathered the loot and other stuff they dropped.
"Hey guys, do you hear something?" I can sense that the ground is shaking a little bit. This is not really normal.
"I don't hear a thing Leader, maybe you're just imagining things?" Cherry replied. But I'm pretty sure I heard something... and it's getting louder and louder!
"It's from that way!" I pointed out a way and a sandstorm is coming in our way!
"Is that a sandstorm of some sort?! But what's with the noise?" Uri asked.
"It's not a sandstorm but a group of monsters! The shaking is because they are running in a large group and coming towards us at the same time!" Pie exclaimed. Are we going to fight or run?! If we run through the forest, they might not chase us.
"How about we go back to the forest?" As I see them clearly, this time, they are armored centaurs! Not just regular centaurs but they wear really thick armor which shows that they are high-class monsters!
"This group is on a different level than those goat creatures. My monster soul can feel their strength and it's telling me to run." Pie is right. I maybe don't have one but I can tell just by looking at them.
"Let's go! Run as fast as you can!"
-South Forest-
We entered the forest but they haven't stopped chasing us. I'm not sure if they really are chasing us or we are just in their way to somewhere.
We split up to see if we are really the target but their direction is still on the same path as us which means that it's a group of raiders or something. It's still far but if they continue with their pace and go on, they will reach our guild hall and that would be bad.
"Chelly, can you go to our guild hall first for them to be prepared?"
"Their speed is really top notch and I can't say I can maintain my speed because my stamina is getting low but I can try," Compared to Uri who's a support and not used to running and Pie who's carrying a large shield, Chelly is the only one who can reach the guild without any delay.
"I may look like a normal player but I am not just a fighter, I'm also a crafter." This time, she removed her armor! Close your eyes Pie!
Wait, she's wearing one inside...
"This is my speed set. Now, it's time to go!" Chelly put her gears inside her big backpack and run so fast like crazy!
She rushed as fast as can while we are now waiting for the Centaurs. If we calculate the numbers of the armored centaurs, they would be around more than a hundred which can devastate our place within a couple of hours. We have to slow them down with traps or something.
"We have to buy some time for the guild leaders to be prepared for the coming raid. We have to surprise them by using long-range spells from Uri and for us melee users, we will try to squeeze their formation." I suggested.
"Pie, go to the other side of this way. I will signal you to use your best push skill to break their formation later." I hope this idea works.
"Uri, can you summon undead later while we caught their attention?" I asked her.
"Of course. That would be the best time to divert their attention from you."
So we waited for a bit and here they come! I can hear the roaring footsteps of the armored Centaurs!
There are only three of us here. I don't think this would be a good idea at all.
