After agreeing of joining me to go visit some neighboring cities, they haven't spoken any words yet. Are we still not that familiar with each other or is it just no one really wants to say something. Well, at least we have to break the ice.
"Hey guys, are you going to buy something?" I asked a question that most of us can answer.
"Yes, I'm going to buy some decorations and materials for my Inn. I got a lot of Centaur parts as materials but most of the other loot was taken by Miss Petula..." Chelly's really into making her own Inn, huh. Yeah, I think Miss Petula is really one of those people who really loves to gather materials for crafting, kind of greedy too.
"Oh, well I only have twenty gold coins in my purse and I don't think I can buy anything with this," I said worrying that my shopping would be just useless because I don't have that much to spend.
"Well, with twenty gold, you can really buy good armor and weapons for mid-level players. Most of us are around level 200 so it's considered as mid-level. Don't worry Miss Zia, it's enough. Well, I can craft for you if you want but it would really take a while." She said. Woooah... That's really reassuring.
"Nahhh, I'll just buy one so I won't really trouble you with that," I think I really need better armor and weapon as fast as I can. Waiting for a while might really not good when we meet strong opponents like the two Legendary Bosses we've met.
As we travel, we talked about simple things about the game like what are the different types of monsters and where we can find them in case we want to create or craft something. I also heard that one of our guildmates is crafting potions which I think called alchemy or something. The truth is I really don't want to get too far from the guild because all the groups that went too far have met some strong monsters and I don't want to meet another one again. It's too much for me to handle the pressure, worst feeling ever!
"We're almost out of the forest guys so where should we head to?" I asked. I'm aware that most of the guilds hate Scy so we won't get a warm welcome from any cities around.
"If you want the best equipment I prefer Order of Light City. Just don't say that we're from Scy's guild or we could really start trouble." Pie's right. We don't want to attract too much attention or it would be really bad for us.
Hmmmm? I have never seen this cave before. Maybe we might find something valuable here. Maybe we should try entering?
"Hey Pie, what do you think of this cave?" I asked Pie because when it comes to checking stuff up, he's the best choice to ask.
"Based on the structure of the cave, it looks like this is not a man-made cave. Also, there are some prints here and I think it's around a couple of weeks ago. I heard that the Order of Light Guild started to raid this cave and found a Chimera instead and I think that this is the same cave." We are at the entrance but I have a feeling that we should enter the place.
"What about we check inside guys? If you said that it's a den of the Chimera before then maybe there are some materials the chimera left like a feather or some fur that we can use to track it and make the Guild Leaders hunt them." He insisted. Well, it's not bad to check the place, not to mention it's still early.
"Well, it wouldn't hurt to check some old cave. I also heard that the raiders just went home after the Chimera escaped and they haven't really explored this cave." Ok, ok... no need to sell it further, Pie. It's really convenient to have someone who reads or watch the news a lot.
"Ok. Let's go then!" I ordered. This would be fun!
-Inside the Forest Cave-
I take that back... it's not really fun at all. It's really dark here but thanks to our guild member's fire spells, we managed to create light inside this dark cave.
Hmmmm? I looked up and...
*FLAP FLAP FLAP!*
"KYAAAAAAAH!" What was that?! We, girls, shouted to our heart's content because we got surprised by the bats! That scared me like crazy, I almost wet my pants!
"It seems that some monsters and bats are living here now. It means that there are no Bosses around. We still should be careful though, we might encounter some powerful monsters." Pie suggested. I think he's right. I don't really feel anything here but just being scared of the darkness. Maybe we are just wasting our time.
Hmmmm? I tried to focus my eyesight and see what's ahead but endless darkness. We can't see anything but the light coming from the entrance is just getting smaller and smaller while we are getting deeper. Now the entrance looks like a small ball of light from here.
At last, we managed to reach the end but... it's a dead end. There's nothing here but stones and webs from spiders. This really is just a waste of time.
"Should we go back?" I asked them.
"Yes, I think. This place is empty. Maybe some other people explored this place already and got most of the loot around." Maybe he's right. It's time to go back.
As we move on, I feel like there's something on my feet so I stopped for a bit to check it out. It looks like there are some lines but wait... I think it's a crack or something... So I tried to move and...
*CRACK!* Uh??
"KYAAAAAAAH!" I screamed with all I've got while falling down! The ground collapsed!
*BAAAAAM!* Awww! I fell to something hard. Thankfully, fall damage is not that high. I can't see a thing...
"HELLO! CAN ANYONE HERE ME?!" I yelled checking if they are still there but no one's answering... I pulled out my flint and tear a part of my armor cloth and for some reason found a piece of wood to create a torch.
"Hmmmmm? Where am I? This place doesn't look like a cave at all. This place is like a room or something and I can also breathe properly which means there's a way out here. I waved my torch around to fully check the area and I found something weird.
I moved closer to some kind of like an altar and there's a stone sword impaled. I remember watching something similar to this that if I can pull out the sword from a rock then I will become a hero or something. But this one looks just like a stone which I think is useless. Anyway, I can't find any exit so I better have fun with the stone sword and pull it out, curiosity at its finest.
So I decided to touch the stone sword but as soon as my fingertips touched the sword, I felt so scared... and backed off after that...
Why am I so scared? I know this place is scary as hell but not that scared... Oh crap...
I have to touch it again. Deep inside me wants to release this sword!
I held the hilt of the sword with both my hards...
-Hospital-
Hmmmm? I woke up... why am I in the hospital? I feel like I dreamt so long and I just woke up from it.
"Zia, thank God you're alright." I heard a familiar voice, a voice of a loving woman and the voice that so soft that let me sleep at night peacefully.
"Mom? Is that you?" I asked. As I see them clearly, it's my Mom and Dad with my big... my sister is younger than before and wears a college uniform.
"Yes, and the doctor said that you slept like fourteen hours straight so you're Dad, sister and I rushed towards here as fast as we can and thankfully you're fine." I think I smell something burning like a candle...
"Did you forget? It's your sixteenth birthday. So here's your cake." My Mom is holding the cake and both Dad and my Sis are preparing to sing.
"Happy Birthday to you. Happy birthday Happy birthday. Happy Birthday, Zia..." I feel like this happened before. I can't tell how exactly but this is making me sad.
"Ok, make a wish and blow the candle now, Zia." My wish? My wish is to be cured to lessen the burden my family is carrying for me. I love them and I don't want them to suffer because of me.
As I ready to blow the candle, I saw the number which represents my age... it's 16... For some reason, tears fell down from my cheek and I still can't figure out why there is full of sadness and pain inside my heart.
"I'll count that as tears of joy sweetheart." My father said... but why... Memories started to flow on my head! I remember now! This is the same day my Mom and Dad will die! I have to stop them from going! It is all my fault that both of them died in that plane crash trying to find a cure for my illness!
"Ughhh...." I tried to talk but not a single sound came out of my mouth! I wanted to say I'm sorry and stop them from going! Things started to get blurry... My eyes are full of tears but I still can't say anything! They... left...
After that... I feel like someone is strangling my neck and I can't breathe! What is happening?!
"Huh?! Sis? What are you d...doing?!" It was Sis! She's chocking me to death?!
"It's your fault that Mom and Dad died! Because of you, I have to work hard to pay your bills! I wish you were dead from the start! I really want to kill you a long time ago to ease Mom and Dad's pain but I failed and now they are both dead! You should pay with your life!" I stopped straggling for my life and accepted my destiny. I love my sister and she's right. I have to pay for my sins... but...
"WOOOOAH!" I headbutted my Sis and punched her in the face!
Ugh... ugh... I'm trying to catch my breath...
"What are you doing?! You should pay for what you've done! Shame on you!" She once again tried to choke me but I felt like I can move my feet! I knew it! This is just one of the game's nightmare spells!
"My sister would never say that to me! My sister loves me the most and I will defeat you whoever you are for using my sister's image to do something like that!" I shouted!
"TAKE THIS! B*TCH SLAP!"...
Eh?? As soon as I realized that the hallucination spell broke, I was already holding a sword and wings came out of my back! I feel a great power within me!
