After a couple of minutes, we ended up killing most of the wolves. Some of them ran away in fear. They were not really much of a challenge to us and we moved on after looting the corpses. I still can't get used to the looting system of the game. We have to literally remove their furs or other parts of their body which are useful like meat and stuff. It's kind of gross but as if I have a choice.

After that, we finally reached the Icy Plains. I'm really familiar with this place because before Scy kinda... recruited me, I have a house at the Vanguards Stronghold given to me by my brother who is the Guild leader. I also trained mostly here killing different kinds of weak monsters. With my ability to use a sword, even if they were stronger than me, I was able to defeat them.
I can't really get used to this kind of environment and I used to live here. We decided to travel more and finally reached the Yeti hunting site but we found something else instead.
"This place is dangerous for you and your friends. I recommend you to go back for now because we are currently holding off some Enraged Yetis. This happens a lot when it's their mating season. They are more aggressive than usual and they showed up in really large numbers." One of the guards guarding the site entrance explained. What a nice timing! I want to see some Yeti in action!
I checked what's happening and just like what he said, their group is really having trouble holding off the Enraged Yetis towards the Stronghold. The battlefield is like three to four guards against one Enraged Yeti and I think these are bro's best warriors so most of them are high leveled ones but even a kid can tell that even with numbers, killing one would literally take a while. These Enraged Yetis are too aggressive that they are moving too fast and destroying everything they touch. Thankfully a lot of them are defenders so their defenses are enough to defend from their attacks but eventually if this continues, they are all going to get messed up.
"Sir Guard. We wish to join you and we won't blame you if we get killed or not. I can tell that you really need a hand. All we just want is some loot for those Yetis we can kill." I said confidently.
"Just remember that I warned you guys." He said while letting us join the battle.
I can tell that there are a lot of Enraged Yetis from afar that are about to join the battle. If we haven't arrived in time then I'm pretty sure it's the end for them.
"Let's go, guy!." I ordered my teammates to follow me and we headed to those Enraged Yeti from afar. There are like twelve Yetis and there are eight of us including me.
"Hey! That's dangerous! Get out of there!" A lot of the other guards ordered us to get back but I didn't hear a single word.
*ROAAAAR!* Four of the foul Enraged Yetis started to charge at us at full speed.
They lunged at us but...
*BAAAAAAAAM!* Ave blocked the attack with his wind push spell! He's our support who use wind and water elemental attacks. He pushed four attackers and protected us from heavy blows of four Enraged Yetis at the same time. He sure gets distracted by anything but he's a good combatant.
"WIND PUSH!" And then he knocked them back with a wild wind push.
"FREEZING BLADE!" Selene, magic assassin, used her fast surprise attacks and slashed the Enraged Yetis she can reach with her blade infused with the element of ice! It's not enough to kill them in one hit though. They're tougher than I thought.
"SILVER FLAME!" Zhillex, a magic assassin as well, covered them in silver flame dealing light and fire damage at the same time but it's not that much effective in this kind of environment.
Suddenly two of the Enraged Yetis started to charge at Zhillex as a payback and jumped in high speed aiming to kill him!
"FREEZING AREA" Before they could even reach him, they were frozen solid by Selene's ice spell and even with high ice resistance of Yetis, Selene's spell was boosted by the climate.
"SILVER FLAME CHAKAM!" Zhillex used his signature move infusing his chakram with fire and light element brilliantly ablaze and cut clean the frozen Enraged Yetis.
"Wow! Thanks, my lady." He said after getting saved by Selene.
"..." But she didn't reply. She's kind of distant but you can feel that she's trying to reply but she's really having a hard time speaking.
Unlike the fights with the wolves. I am here to watch them to see what they're really capable of...
What the?! We weren't paying attention too much at the other two of the Enraged Yetis and jumped at Ave who's building a snowman! Who would build a snowman in the middle of a fight?! I take back what I've said!
"Ave! Look out!" I warned him but it was too late! Even the Selene in the front didn't make it on time to defend him!
"Wha...." Before he finished his question... his head was torn apart from his body but...
"...at?" What the? It's like the Yetis hit his body like water! Their hands just passed through his body and didn't really damage him! What a weird ability!
"Oh, my body is made out of water so physical attacks won't or can't harm me. And..." Then he jumped then dived to the ground! He's like swimming in the ground!
After that, he showed up behind both of the Yetis!
"WATER PRISON!" He created a prison made out of water! Both Yetis were trapped inside the water prison and because of the freezing weather, the water prison started to freeze and froze the Yetis to death!
The remaining eight Enraged Yetis also made their move and is now charging towards us.
"It's time for me to finish up the rest!" I said excitedly but they still helped me in the end...
The other Enraged Yetis that were left were mostly killed and some of them tried to escape but we have Zhillex for the escapees and killed them from afar. It wasn't really a tough battle but the exp is better than those wolves.
After that battle, the guards flocked on us and thanked us.
"At first we thought that you went there to commit suicide or something but you did well killing those Enraged Yetis! I can't believe that you outplayed the Guards of Vanguards Guild. If it's not because of you guys, we might as well be dead by now. It's all thanks to you! How about you go to the guild and meet the Guild Leader?" The guard is pretty thankful that he's relieved of his duty of killing those monsters. Well, it might not be really bad visiting my bro for a while and we can also sell some of the loot we gathered so far.
"You're welcome and it's an honor to fight alongside with you," I replied trying to look good. I also told my teammates where's our next destination and they agreed.
-Vanguard's Stronghold-
After traveling, not that long, we reached the Vanguards Stronghold. It's still the same as always, not as cheerful like the Order of Light's City because the weather also drops the mood of the people outside but inside some of the inns and taverns, people are also entertaining. Not as gloomy as before I was living here.
It's brother's Guild Hall, way fancier than Scy's Guild Hall but it's not that populated.
-Vanguard's Guild Hall-
"Hello there, Mr. Warden. We managed to not just hold them off but we also defeated most of them thanks to these young warriors. I asked them to join us with our simple celebration."
"Leion, is that you? You've been gone for like days and we haven't heard anything from you. Are you doing ok?" He asked me. He's my Brother's best friend and also very nice to me. I treat him like my big brother.
"Are you saying that this is Sir Leion, brother of our Guild Leader?" the guard once again asked.
"Yes, I'm Leion. You might have heard of me but I haven't really participated too much on guild affairs because I'm not really part of this guild. Also, where's Bro? Have you seen him, Warden?"
"Yes. He's in his room and busy at the moment not only with Guild affairs but also with his real-life work. The company wants him to go to work more but he can't just leave the guild alone so he's doing his best to do his work even if he's in game. Kind of stressful but what choice does he have right?" I'm sympathizing with my brother, someone with great responsibility in the game and in real life. It's just a pain in the butt.
"Hey there Bro. How's it going?" I asked him.
"You tell me... With this too much work, how the hell can I find a girlfriend?!" A man like you with a lot of money... I doubt that searching a girlfriend would be even one of your worries.
"Anyway, who are those guys with you? Are they some kind of party members?"
"Well, yeah. They are my guildmates actually." I replied.
"Guildmates? I haven't seen them around in our guild though. Are they new recruits?" He asked...
"What are you talking about? I'm not part of Vanguards Guild... I'm part of Scythus' Guild." I exclaimed.
