We are now moving towards the city of Order of Light. We haven't met any monsters on the way yet because most of them are hiding or joined the forces of the Frozen King. Now it's too dark outside. We heard horse footsteps coming closer to our area. It hasn't been long but they reached us in no time. Scy seems to have seen a familiar face.
"Long time no see, Lad. Are you guys going to help the Order of Light?" It's Drake and most of them are riding with their horses. They haven't used their horses last time maybe because the terrain is really bad for their mounts.
"Hello there, Drake. Yes, but defeating the Frozen King is our main goal this time." With Scy and our main force, I do hope that we can really defeat him.
"If you ask me right now, I don't t really think that we can defeat them. It's just that I don't want to leave the Order of Light alone and we have to help." It sounds like he was forced to help.
"Yeah, but I guess not all of you think the same," Scy said. What does he mean?
"Yeah, I heard the other guilds decided to not join the fight. They are afraid of losing more manpower. I also heard from one of my sources that the total level loss of all players who died in battle reached almost twenty thousand levels. Just imagine the time and effort to get all that level." Wow... That's just too much. No wonder they are now hiding their tails.
"That's higher than I expected. Their losses were too much for them to handle. We should make haste. We have to reach the place as soon as possible." Scy suggested.
"Ok then. We're heading out first. Good luck and just be safe." Drake is a good man. They moved out riding their horses.
-Order of Light North Gate-
After walking for ages, we reached the North Gate of the City but it's fully locked down. All the gates are fully shut. They were expecting the army of the enemy at the west part of the city the way to the Vanguards Stronghold.
"We stay here for now. I can feel the army getting closer." Scy ordered. As we looked closely, it seems that most of the guilds abandoned the Order of Light.
The only members of Thirteen Gods that are here are Zeth, Aurora, Siegriel, and Drake. I can tell that they haven't really recovered yet from the last time and now they are facing larger army this time. It's their bad luck for being the closest largest city from Vanguards Stronghold. I also think that Siegriel and his guild members who died respawned to the City of Order of Light. All of the people of the Vanguards Stronghold also stayed here in the city.
After a while, we can now hear the march of the monsters and undead.
"TOOOOOT TOTOTOOOOT!" A sound of Horns echoed throughout the whole city.
"Aheeeem Aheeem... Fellow people of New Life Online. I know that all of you are really afraid because a large army is getting closer and closer but we are going to stop them! Our city will not fall from the hands of the monsters! ORDER OF LIGHT! LET THE GODDESS OF LIGHT HELP US! LET THERE BE LIGHT!"
Mari, who's the leader of the supports, raised her staff and with all of their power, the city of Order of Light started to glow! Too bright that it even hurt our eyes! As I regain my sight, I saw their city covered in the light! Supports, spellcasters and even the sprites combined, their power created a light that can shine throughout the whole world of New Life Online!
The forces of the enemy stopped after seeing the light! It was much more powerful than the last time! It's their home after all. Monsters, on the other hand, didn't stop and continued marching! Judging by their army last time, the enemy forces are five times larger which can reach around almost a million monsters and undead while our forces would be fifty thousand or less. It's like twenty against one...
"AAACKKKKK! AAAARRGGGG!" Cries of the undead army were heard all over the place! Wait! It looks like they were really prepared! The undead army perished to ashes after a long exposure from the light! What light power! In just that powerful release of light, half of their forces were destroyed!
"Hello it's me again, Aika, the most beautiful host of "What's New in New Life Online"! I didn't really appear in the first clash because they told me that it's too dangerous but I'm the best reporter so I'm here after all! Now we're live at the city of Order of Light and they are kicking the butts of the undead army!" Aika... why are you even here...
"WOOOOOOH! WOOOOOH!" A lot of people started cheering after her appearance! They don't like to be on TV that much I guess...
"The monsters who survive that powerful wave of light are now rushing towards the city. This could be bad! Will the tall walls of the city withstand the power of the monsters?!" Aika is getting into the scene now.
Drake and his army are already inside the city but for us... we are still outside. There are only a few of us including all the recruits and the team leaders.
*BAAAAAAAM BABABAAAAM!* The monsters reached the West gate and started slamming the gate! Some of the monsters were squashed to death after the other monsters bumped to them! They're brutes and only think for the kills!
"Wow! The monsters are really trying to destroy the gate but it won't even budge! There's no way small monsters like them can even move the gate!" Aika excitedly said. Even a child can tell that what they're doing is really pointless. It's like they're really out of their minds.
*SWOOOOOOSH SWOSWOSWOOOOSH!* Giant boulders were sent flying towards the gate! Giant monsters threw them and aiming to destroy the gate!
*BAAAAAM BABABAAAAAM!* It hit the walls but it's not high enough to surpass the gates! I can tell how sturdy the walls are! They're not even budging after those massive attacks!
"Wow! They threw a lot of devastating attacks but our walls are still holding on! You need to exert more effort, you mindless monsters!" Even Aika is really getting too excited.
Just how did they fortify their walls that it can withstand attacks like that? I have to admit, their guild is not called the strongest guild for no reason.
"Aheeem aheemmm... ARCHERS! SHOOTING STARS!" Maximus ordered! He waved his hand toward the battlefield!
*SWOOOOSH SWOSWOSWOOOSH!* Thousands of arrows flew like shooting stars with the light element and hit the battlefield killing hundreds or even thousands of monsters!
"Those beautiful attacks are just way too awesome that you don't even want to dodge it!" Aika... You should really stop with those comments...
"AGAIN!" Maximum wave his hand once again and archers shot their arrows once more!
*SWOOOOOOSH SWOSWOSWOOOOSH!* The battlefield started to be covered in the blood of monsters! Different colors from different monsters... Too gross to watch. The giants that are throwing large rocks were also hit but those arrows didn't stop them.
*BAAAAAAM BABABAAAAM!* They continued throwing rocks! The rocks that hit the walls crushed those monsters below the walls and got smashed to death. It's insane how their lives disappear like that.
The giant rocks started to pile up and it's getting higher and higher! Monsters are now climbing the walls! Monsters that look like spiders released webs and attached them to the walls! They are now thinking straight and aiming to bypass the walls because it's unbelievably tough! Because of the piled up stones, it gave the other monsters to use their special abilities like hobgoblins and their giant long ropes. How they climb the walls is really something!
"Aheem Aheem... I think that's a bad Idea... WARP MASTER'S WRATH! INSTANT TRANSPORTATION!" Maximus used his monster soul! Suddenly, a giant portal was created below the pile of rocks and the rocks were sucked inside the portal!
*SWOOOOOOSH SWOSWOSWOOOSH!* Holy mother of a cow! A giant portal was created above the center of their army and those giant rocks suddenly fell from the sky and falling towards the monsters! Just Wow!
"It's one of old... Mr. Maximus warp overpowered techniques! He's unstoppable! Take that rain of giant rocks!" Aika shouted.
*BAAAAAM BABABAAAAAAAAM!* The giant rocks hit not only the ground but all of the monsters that got caught by them! They were smashed and every time a rock hit something, a small tremor can be felt!
A lot of monsters died in just a couple of minutes. Just how powerful this guild can be?! They are owning the battlefield with fewer efforts than before! We don't really want to mess with this guild. Those walls and gates are abnormally sturdy...
From half a million monsters and undead, I can estimate their numbers now to be around less than half... in just a couple of minutes...
"Tsk... Show-offs... If not because of me, those walls won't last that long..." Scy said a bit irritated. Well, at least we're winning, right? And what do you mean because of you?
