Even after taking a lot of losses, the Frozen King's army didn't stop. It's as if they are still expecting to win after all that happened. And then we thought we could really win but we still don't know what the Frozen King's plans are.
Then suddenly, we heard noises above the sky! It sounds like a large number of flying creatures and I was right! Different kinds of monsters with flying abilities started to join the battlefield and with a really large number too! This is really bad. Those monsters can easily bypass the walls with their flight ability. Unlike other flying creatures, these flying monsters are more aggressive and technically plan to take the city down!
*SWOOOOSH SWOSWOSWOOOOSH!* The army of flying monsters dove from above! Why are they going down when they can just attack the city from above?
Then as I look closely, I just realized the answer to my question... Every flying monster grabbed those land monsters that can't fly! They are planning on dropping those monsters towards the city! But I don't think that the army of Order of Light would just stand around and wait for them to invade the city.
*SWOOOOOSH SWOSWOSWOOOSH!* After picking up the land monsters, the flying monsters split into two groups! They went on right and left sides of the West Gate! They are planning on dropping them on the other part of the city!
"Oh, this is bad! The monsters are planning something! They are trying to attack the other gates that have fewer defenses right now!" Aika worriedly reported.
"Vanguards! Let's show them the power of our arrows! WINDRUSH ARROWS!" It's Siegriel! Archers lined up on top of the walls. It looks like his army specialized on archers but can their arrows even reach the flying monsters on their spot? It's too far that it's really impossible!
*SWOOOOOOSH SWOSWOSWOOOSH!* The arrows flew so fast and so high that every flying monster was hit! Just how did they pull that off? Those monsters they carry were released and fell to their deaths with those flying monsters! Some of them survived but their numbers were not enough to really do damage to the city. The defenders and warriors inside the city managed to kill those who reached the city.
I can't believe that the archers from Vanguards Stronghold are that great! They enhanced their arrows with wind element and it increased its range and speed dramatically.
"Well, they're the reason I managed to improve my archery. I saw that move last time from the Orc's invasion and learned it by myself." Elou also can do something like that but I haven't really seen it in person yet.
Everything they do was pointless. Those flying creatures were dispersed because their plan didn't really work out. City of Order of Light has the ability to fend off attackers without problems at all. Even the giant monsters picked up giant trees and smashed it to the gates but it was useless. They even tried to burn it but the walls and gates are made out of solid earth element.
"It's time to destroy all of them. SPELL CASTERS! MAGIC SPELL BARRAGE!" Maximus ordered. The archers stepped aside and then spellcasters lined up next. Every single one of the spellcasters started using their best skills and launched it from on top of the walls!
*BOOOOOOOOOOOM! BOOOBOOOOOM!* Every element was present. Those spells stormed the battlefield destroying everything they hit! We're kind of far from the West Gate but we literally feel the devastation that's happening right now! They bombard the area till the last drop of their mana. This is a massacre.
"Can you guys see what's happening right now? The monsters are helpless! This city was built for almost a year and not a single raid or invasion managed to invade the city! I don't think this is an exemption at all!" Aika's really excited.
We can't say that for sure. I heard that Vanguards Stronghold was also as tough as the Order of Light but the bad thing about the last clash was they fought them in an open area and not from behind their walls and even after they managed to escape to their city, their leader was already almost dead so there's no one to order them with good decisions.
Monsters that are still alive finally stopped from trying to break the walls and the gate. They are now trying to escape the battlefield.
If this is just an invasion of the monsters and some undead then this would be the end of it but we can't say for sure. There's no way they just get slaughtered for no reason. Even monsters have their leaders too.
*BAAAAAAAAM!* Suddenly, we felt a little shake from the walls! What is happening?! The walls just shook for the first time!
*BAAAAAAAAAM!* What the heck?! It happened again!
"It's... it's the Minotaur!" Aika was surprised!
The Minotaur is slamming the West Gate with his giant axe and he's larger this time. He's now wielding both axes and not only that; he also emits the aura of the Frozen King! High power up indeed. From that last clash, I bet the Frozen King received a lot of souls.
*BAAAAAAAAAM!* The Minotaur is still rampaging and hitting the gate simultaneously. They have to do something first or he might really destroy it!
"How come, he's still alive after with too much light that surrounds the city?! Someone should really stop him!" Aika, please don't panic. You're just making it worse!
*SWOOOOOOOSH!* Someone just jumped from the top of the walls and is now falling!
*BAAAAAAAAAM!* It's Zeth! He fell and the axes and the sword of Zeth collided making a powerful impact! Then both of them backed off. The attack of the Minotaur left some cracks to the wall but thankfully it didn't break.
"You messed me up really hard last time but I guess I have to take you seriously now. IRON KNIGHT'S WRATH!" He used his monster soul right off the bat.
"KNIGHT'S RUSH!" Zeth moved so fast that he suddenly appeared in front of the Minotaur! The Minotaur didn't see that coming and was left defenseless!
"KNIGHT'S SIDE STEP!" He then turned around so fast! His footsteps were different from the last time! I bet he changed his strategy because brute force won't really work against the Minotaur.
*SWOOOOOOSH!* The Minotaur tried to attack Zeth out of surprise but his attack was too slow! Zeth managed to evade them without problems.
"HUFF HUFF!" The Minotaur is really having a hard time catching up with Zeth's movements!
"KNIGHT'S DUELIST!" His sword was supposed to be a giant greatsword but this time, it is thinner now! Even his armor looks like it has less protection but with less armor, it also increased his movement speed so much.
"KNIGHT'S FENCING LIGHT THRUSTS!" Then he stabbed the Minotaur while moving in fast pace! He countered the slow but powerful Minotaur with pure speed and agility this time! Every stabbed of Zeth was solid that you can see his blade passed through the Minotaur's body a couple of times! The light element also burns the aura making the buff of the Frozen King less effective.
*SWOOOOOOOSH!* Another meaningless attack from the Minotaur was unleashed. It's like the Minotaur is not thinking straight like the last time and just swings his axe like crazy.
"HUFF HUFF!" I guess the Minotaur's consciousness was already gone. He's now being controlled by the Frozen King. But the question is where he is.
"KNIGHT'S LIGHT EXECUTION!" Zeth dismembered the Minotaur cutting both of his arms and legs! And lastly, he beheaded him with his last attack.
"How's that for revenge? Rest in peace beast."
"Zeth single-handedly killed the Minotaur! Did you see that, guys?! He's the strongest warrior of Order of Light after all! And now..." Suddenly...
*BAAAAAAAAAM!* We heard a loud sound from Zeth's place!
"Ugh... you're still alive... How's that possible?!" The Minotaur is still alive, technically just a living dead but somehow, his limbs and head reattached to his body! The aura of the Frozen King around the Minotaur hasn't gone yet so I guess it's the reason. Zeth was hit by a surprise attack and was knocked back.
"HAHAHA! HAHAHA!" We heard a familiar laughing hollowed voice out of nowhere. And then we saw the Frozen King with the other legendary Bosses beside him from afar!
The corpses of the monsters that died started rising again! Just what we've expected.
"That light from your guild is really bright. It kind of hurt my eyes so I will turn it off. FROZEN KING'S TOTAL TENEBROSITY!" The darkness around the body of the Frozen King started to spread! It's starting to cover the light of the Order of Light City! The light of the City decreased so fast in that just a moment! It's insane how the light of the city is now slowly banishing in just a single spell from the world boss!
"Don't let the darkness sway our unity and faith! Our guild shall destroy the demons! LET THERE BE GOD'S LIGHT!" Maximus seems to be really hoping to stop the Frozen King's darkness with their full force! Their light became stronger but it's still not enough!
"The Frozen King has finally made his move! Can our light surpass his darkness? Or will the city of Order of light be the next castle to go down?!" Aika worriedly said.
