It's almost morning already and the sun is starting to shine. Before I can reach their city, I need to pass through the jungle. This is really the first time I traveled this far. I have a map but it's not detailed enough to show the safest path to reach the Drowned Trident City.
Thankfully, it's not dark anymore and I feel at ease knowing that I can easily tell if someone is following me.
So far, I haven't met adventurers after reaching Dragoons City. The area around it is not a good spot to train because the monsters are quite strong so it's not really safe.
I entered the jungle heading straight towards the city. I can sense nearby monsters and I can tell that they're high-level ones. Surviving in this kind of place is really hard. If a group of players with not so good equipment managed to find this place, I'm pretty sure they'll get slaughtered like vegetables.
I'm sensing movements ahead. Judging by the pace of their movement, I can tell that they are walking. Some kind of patrols or something. There's no way that raiders would mess with this kind of high-level ground.
So yeah, I was right. There are guards patrolling and they are wearing spell caster's robes. I hate spellcasters. Some spells are quite hard to evade, like water users. I have to reveal myself to them or they might get the wrong idea if they saw someone like me hiding.
"Halt! Who's there?!" One of the patrols asked.
"Hello there! I'm Chara and I'm a traveler. I would like to have a proper rest and good food so would you please help me?" I asked politely as usual and smiled.
"You're not from around here. It's not safe to travel alone. We are ordered to help anyone around here regardless of their status but you don't like someone who will do something bad." After that, she waved her hand signaling something.
Then one of them showed me the way. I was told that their guild isn't that friendly but yeah... all of them are women... Being a woman has its perks sometimes I guess.
We didn't travel that far but we stopped for a bit. It's the end of the jungle and upon leaving the jungle, there's a huge beautiful city covered in water!
"Uhmmm... Will I get drowned if I enter this beautiful place?" I asked. I really wonder.
"Don't worry. This is just protection from monsters and other kinds of hostile creatures like men." Oh, wait... Men? Seriously?
"Oh, men are the worst, right? Haha." I think it's better to get on with the flow.
"Someone like you is always welcome to our guild. Let me just open a passage for you." Then she waved her hand using some kind of spell and then a passage appears.
So I decided to get moving. She told me not to touch the water or my hand will be sliced. She left me after opening the passage. It looks like it's not moving but I guess I should not really touch it.
Upon entering... there's no city at all? The city you can see from the outside is just an illusion. I don't know what's going on here... All I can see is the beach. Oh, she told me that someone will be waiting for me but there's no one here...
*SWOOOOOOOSH!* Out of nowhere, someone emerged from the sea.
"Hello, I heard that someone will be arriving. I guess it's you. As you can see, we don't get visited that much but it's good to see a new face. Welcome. Just hold my hand." She grabbed my hand. So I did.
And yeah, we are walking and going to the water.
"Uhmmm... I don't know how to swim." I worriedly said.
"Don't worry. It won't take that long." So yeah I trusted her.
And then...
"KYAAAAAAAH!"

Ugh... I opened my eyes and yeah... I'm lying on a bed. The last thing I remember was I've felt like I was falling or something and after that, I lost consciousness.
"Oh, you're finally awake. You sleep like a lazy sea lion. Haha." I heard a girls voice nearby. I got up holding my head as it kind of hurt.
"Where am I? And, it's nice to meet you but who are you again?" I asked. Yup, there's water inside my ears... Also, she's the girl who's with me earlier.
"I'm Osia. I'm famous around here because my sister is the guild leader, Shella. And you're in our city. The Drowned Trident. How are you feeling?" She replied.
"My head kind of hurts a bit. If you're famous then why are you doing the meet and greet duty?" I asked. I have a lot of questions but that's the first thing that came to mind.
"She said I'm a bit... quirky and because of that, she didn't really put me in charge of anything. I'm bored so I'm doing the what you call "meet and greet duty". Anyway, I was told that you're a traveler. I'm a traveler too. So what's your name?" Technically, I'm not a traveler but let's go with that.
"Sure, sure. I'm Chara, nice to meet you. I guess it would be good if you know my real reason coming here. If I told you guys my real purpose, they would probably have never let me in."
"Are you some kind of a wanted person? Don't worry. They really don't care about your crimes from the other guilds as long as you obey our city's rules." She really doesn't care.
"No, I'm here because we need help from your guild. I'm from the Other Side Guild and I would like to talk to your guild leader if you don't mind." I really hope she doesn't mind.
"Oh, you're from that guild! That's awesome! Of course, I'll show you the way. You guys sure have guts trying to mess with the Light guys. I'm guessing Sis won't like the idea but we can do something about it. I wasn't able to join the last war so I was hoping I could join this one!" Then there's my lucky charm.

Wow! This place is way too good to be true! We're deep below the sea! I can even see fishes swimming around. I don't know how they managed to put air here so people can breathe inside. There's no way other guilds can destroy this city, going here is one of their biggest problems.
"Amazing right? I think our city is almost as small as Dragoon City but once you've seen our city, you can tell how we reached seventh place for the strongest guild. Like Storm Seekers, nature is our best defense." She explained while we are walking going upstairs.
"I can tell that. I heard that Storm Seekers are not on good terms with your guild?"
"Yup, Sis doesn't really like their Guild Leader. The way across the Raven's roads are quite dangerous so most of our traders and adventurers are taking the Storm Seeker's road. At first, they thought it was the best way but unfortunately, some of the Storm Seekers members are doing nasty stuff and yeah, raiding some of our caravans. Shella tried making some demands about this but it seems like that Vortz didn't really do something. So yeah, Shella's pissed about it. We can't also start a war against them because basically, most of us use water and if you look closely at the picture, there's a huge chance that we'll get slaughtered like tuna." She explained. I guess, they decided to break the alliance after the invasion.
"That sucks, like whirlpools. Well, making an alliance with Dragoons has good points then. I guess they can help you with the road problems." I suggested.
"So far, that didn't happen. I told Sis about that idea but she always tells me that men are beasts and they will just hurt you when you're weak. I guess she read a lot of sad stories on Whackpad." I bet she does.
"That sounds crazy but somehow true." I guess not all men are the same.
"We're here. Don't talk too much, ok? Sis is the type of girl that gets easily annoyed when she hears too much talking. Let's go." She suggested. Nice prep talk. It's not like I'm going to explain our current situation.

"Sis! I'm back! We have a visitor named... Sea Lion or something and she wants to talk to you about an important matter." What a good introduction. Sea Lion would be a lot better than Banana Girl at this point.
"Thank you and the name is "Chara". I'm here on behalf of our guild, Other Side, and we are hoping that you could stand up with us against the Order of Light's threat." I'm so nervous all of a sudden. I'm talking to this beautiful woman that shows she can kill you anytime she wants.
"So you're with that annoying guy who calls himself cool or something. I don't know what you guys see in him but he's not fit to be your leader." Why does she keep on glaring at me... It's really scary...
"He really isn't but we don't have a choice. His sales talk is good and somehow, we were hooked. But that's not the point. Somehow, we love that guild now and we don't want someone trying to tear it down. I already talked to Drake, the leader of Dragoons Guild and if you, one of the greatest leaders, could help them secure their back, they will fight for us too and maybe help you with your problems with the Storm Seekers." I really hope that she could really take the bait.
"Here's the deal. Our guild lacks the means of transportation. We can't send you guys reinforcements if you need it. All we can do is support Dragoons if they will be attacked by others. I can't risk my guild's precious levels just to help you guys gaining mostly nothing in return so take it or leave it." I understand what she's trying to say but that also means that we won't get any fighting force from them...
"Can you lend us some of your spellcasters instead? We need the cavalry to break the defenders from the opposing guilds but we also need spell casters on our side because that's what we really need." We really need this. If I can't get spellcasters from them then there's no point asking help from them at all.
"I really like to say no but I can't leave a lady in distress. Osia, gather some of our best spellcasters. We will be sending them to help Miss Chara and her whatever guild it is. Also, it would be nice for you to command them for now so that once in a while you can help us. Don't die or I'll feed your body to some sea creatures." That's what we call sister love.
"Thank you very much, Miss Shella. I will protect them with all I've got. We owe you one and we won't forget about this." I said my thanks with all my heart. Now, all we have to do is make it to the guild safely.
"Thanks, Sis. I know you have a heart of a dolphin. I love you and I'll see you later!" Osia exclaimed.
"Just shut up and get out of here. Try to be useful for once. Also, tell that Scythus guy, I'll drown him real hard next time." Thankfully, my sister isn't as tsundere as her.
So yeah, I've got like a hundred or more spellcasters with me. I was really expecting around a thousand of them but I guess they really need it too. Is it a good idea? No... we'll get more attention and probably, we'll get slaughtered on our way back. But first, we have to go to the Dragoons City and get a good answer.
"Let's go have some fun!" Osia's excitement really shows.
I guess we need to use that water transportation again... whirlpools really sucks...
