The sunrise gave us a warm welcome for our adventure. It's always sunny and the wind somehow is in our favor. The ship moved slowly at first but it now has steady speed. Thankfully, no one has been seasick since we started moving. I kinda feel like a bit sick but it's tolerable.
Team Glace and Two Teeth are on the first ship because they're the ones who will guide us. Akko's Team and mine are on the second ship to offer better offensive spells while Elou and Lili's team are on the last ship to support us and give us a hand with support and long-range attacks. We planned our position to have better results as this is technically a mission that might be impossible to complete.
Unfortunately, I have no idea how to operate the ship so I just asked Pie to do it for me as he's the brainy guy in our group and he gladly accepted the task. We just took off earlier but upon looking back, it feels like we're already far. It didn't take long and now, we can't see anything anymore around us. The others are just doing their job to stay close and guard the ship at all cost because the danger is always there to surprise us. It's good that the front and rear ships have good spotter and trackers to check the surroundings. This will be a long and boring adventure.
Hours had passed and nothing happened yet and it looks like it will take a while before we can reach a dangerous place so everyone is kind of calm and some are already sleeping. I hope that the other ships are still being careful or we will be in big trouble if there will be an ambush. We still don't know how powerful the monsters are around here.
-Near Calm Blizzard Entrance-
"Scy, I think someone from the first ship is trying to say something by waving his hand but I can't seem to understand." One of our team members said. I don't know the name of most of our guildmates so I'm sorry... (Beat from Akko's Team)
I looked at that someone and it's the annoying guy waving. Is it just me or is he just trying to say hello? (Bench from Glace Team)
"Don't mind him. He's probably crazy." So we just ignored him.
"I think he's really saying something." And once again I tried to check it and it seems like they're trying to slow down their ship.
And soon, their ship is now beside us and the rear ship did too.
"Everything ok?" I asked Glace as she's the who just jumped to our ship first. I guess she got bored there...
"This area is pretty safe from monsters and we're almost at the Calm Blizzard area and we need to stay close together because of the freezing fog that covers the area. It will be a cold night for us later so I suggest we drink lots of booze to make ourselves don't freeze to death." She suggested. I don't drink any kinds of alcohol, though.
"Why did you call it Calm Blizzard?" I asked.
"Well, because the area is covered in freezing fog which is weird and there's no wind at all slowing down our progress too much. The ship's speed would dramatically decrease but this time, I guess Two Teeth added some good features to the ship to counter that kind of situations. Thanks to our problems from our last voyage." Well, I hope so.
Then...
"People, gather around! Let's sing together! We can't consider ourselves as pirates if we won't sing, right? Haha!" She announced. Wait... what?
"I'm sorry, but we're not pira..."
"Oh! That would be nice!" Elou, why you...
"Woah! I want to sing too!" And there goes Chara. Osia's with her on our ship and is getting excited too...
"So what are we going to sing?!" Zia wants to join too. Is it just me or am I the only one who doesn't like this kind of events...
"Hmp..." Oh, thank God there's Lili.
"I've got a good pirate song and I know everyone knows it!" Glace excitedly said.
Everyone from all the ships made a circle, sitting on the ship's floor and those at the back are standing like me while Glace is in the middle and is now about to start singing... I didn't expect that we will do this kind of stuff so early and while the sun is still high up.
"All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go... I'm standing here outside your door. I hate to wake you up to say goodbye..." She's singing alone while the others are waiting for the right time. I don't know why but the song doesn't really suit well with our situation, it's not like a pirate song at all! I can say that her voice is beautiful and it's so soothing to hear. She sang gracefully like she's really enjoying it while giving us sad yet, happy feelings.
"Cause I'm leavin' on a jet plane. Don't know when I'll be back again. Oh, babe, I hate to go..." Then everyone in the ship including Akko, Petula and Leion started singing too!
They continued singing until everyone got tired. They sang various kinds of songs that seriously unrelated to sailing whatsoever but it was really fun. They sang together, they ate while drinking different kinds of beverages and they laughed pretty hard with all those silly things.
-Entrance of Calm Blizzard-
And so... I realized that I fell asleep. A lot of us are already sleeping on the floor while it's getting darker. How on earth did I fell asleep? Maybe I'm just too tired after all the work we did today. Woooh... it's getting chilly now.
"We're at the entrance of the Calm Blizzard." Oh, shoot! That scared the freak out of me. Glace, out of nowhere, said something. She's beside me the entire time and I didn't even notice.
"Well, I can tell. I need thicker clothes soon. Are the ships moving at all?" I can't feel the ship moving.
"Don't worry. Two Teeth is preparing something and we will start moving soon. Last time, this place has no monsters at all because the water below is way too cold for sea monsters to live here. I hope that didn't change." She explained and so far, I can't sense any dangerous monsters nearby.
"The two areas surrounding the island seems to be just created to protect the grassland and other areas so that monsters near the island can't leave because they're too powerful for the people in the grasslands to fight. If they were set loose, the whole grassland will be overrun by those monsters." She's really smart for thinking every possible reason about things.
"You explained it so well. I really hope that we can get out of here soon because it's way too cold." I replied.
"We will reach the Boiling Waters next but it might take a day or two. Boiling Waters is a dangerous place because unlike Calm Blizzard, the Boiling waters is a place where it's so hot that it might make our clean water reserves evaporate. It might also kill the water sprites if they're not being carefully protected." That's too bad for us but we'll somehow manage.
"Oh sh*t, it's so cold! Grr...." Two Teeth showed up and I can tell that he's not enjoying the place.
"You have a monster soul of a Yeti Boss and you can't take the cold, what a loser..." Glace and her mouth.
"You wanna go, woman!" And there he goes again... they need to make up sooner or later.
We heard sounds from below our ship and the ships started moving again.
We monitored the area and Glace was right. This place is nothing but cold ice snow and the sea is as cold as ice. If we're not on a ship, there's no way we can get past this kind of environment, not to mention there will be Boiling Waters next and I can tell by its name, it's somewhere you don't want to swim.
Everyone is wearing thick clothes while fire users are making themselves useful. I, on the other hand, covered our ships with darkness, just in case there are monsters around us that we're not aware of.
This is really boring. We can't spar or train because it might cause noise and we might alert something around us, we can't do other stuff but just stay close together and check the whole ship. The sea is still as calm as before while the snow fog is getting thicker and thicker. The sea is also freezing that our ships are having a hard time moving forward but so far, no damage has done to our ships, thanks to Two Teeth's good architectural skills.
Wait... I think I'm seeing something! I can't tell for sure but it's something big!
"ICEBERGS!" Elou shouted from the ship's crow nest! Wait, did he just say Icebergs?!
Everyone panicked and now they're trying to control the ships away from it! Ugh! Now, this is becoming Titaneck!
