I want you to answer me straight and how can you say that, like what the hell am I supposed to do or reply to what you've said? And what is your name?" I asked... I have a lot of questions that I know for sure I won't be getting real answers now.
"Everyone calls me Mr. Kim. Let's leave it with that. Show him the cryopreservation pod," Dad ordered. Crying cat, what now?
They lifted a heavy device of some sort big enough for a person to lay down. It looks really familiar... like that thing in my nightmare... Why won't he just tell me his name?
"This thing preserves any sort of life form and can preserve for hundreds of years in the future. It's been tested but the good thing is this is not complete yet." Dad explained.
"And what is this for?" I asked.
"Well, as I explained earlier, they are planning to use this and preserve humans and use the missing item which is they are still developing, to transfer all of your thought to a device and when you wake up, all the information you gather will be transferred to your brain. This is their idea to achieve immortality by preserving of their human body and using the game as the new world." Dad explained... and this time, it's more detailed.
"Then, isn't it a good thing though? I mean, if we can live forever then why stop it?" I asked curiously.
"Because the world doesn't work that way." That doesn't make any sense...
"And how do you know that idea?" I asked with suspicion.
"Because I know." Dad...
"The way you're saying things, it sounds like we're the bad guys here. You're telling me that my decisions will either help or destroy the world but how can I decide if you're telling me half-assed explanations?" I exclaimed. This is nonsense and I need to get out of here with my sister.
"You shut the hell up! My grandpa, Glace and other close friends of mine died because of this. If we're doing this for the wrong thing then why are we still here!" Zeth showed how angry he is.
"Don't be hasty to jump to conclusions, Scy. We're all doing this for our family and for the future. I still don't know what's our goal but your father knows everything and he's the one that told me to protect my sister. Someone almost killed her before while she's sleeping... a girl in a mask. I was so helpless while two of her bodyguards caught me off guard and the girl pulled out a gun in front of my sister and aimed it at her head. In the end, she didn't kill her..." Aurora... the same girl that killed Glace.
"The girl in the mask... who is she? She told me, you know who she is." I asked my dad but his expression changed as if he lost someone important.
"Seventeen years ago. She was with us when we first came here, me, your dad, the girl in the mask and someone else. Your dad and I are together but the others are not with us." Mom talked.
"Then why does the girl in the mask killing innocent people?" I asked.
"That's enough for now. We have to rest first and let's talk about else when everything calms down. We have a month weeks before they can finish their device and release the update so they'll do everything to distract us like in the game. They will attack us from the Island with what they've got but not here, in New Life Online and we need to kill their members that are trying to take over the Order of Light Guild after the death of Maximus. I'm sure you can do your job this time, right son?" Dad once again looked at. All I did was to nod at him. Why are we protecting the things we have in the game if we're trying to sabotage their plan?
"We have at least two weeks to prepare before they can reach us by ships. They won't dare come at us in real life because they know that they don't have the ability to defeat us even if they have the numbers." Zeth said.
"Let's not be sure of that. We might think that we're safe here but everything can happen. Also, based on what Scy's vision in game, it looks like their members possess the past invasion's bosses. We should train more and prepare for the worst. With Glace gone, our best IT engineers are trying to crack their old hideout's system to find their main base. It will take time but enough for us to stop them. Let's all be safe and for you Scy, just do your best to get stronger this two weeks." Aurora just smiled at me. I tried to smile back but it was too much for me after all that happened.
"That's the only thing I know so I will try my best," I replied and so the meeting ended with that.
"Good luck, Scy. Your sister and I will do our best." Azalea said. I almost forgot that her name is Azalea... My sister is with her and showed me a faint smile. I can tell that she's overwhelmed with all of this.
"Scy, I hope that our guild will still be ok after this..." Petula is worried... I can tell.

Once again, I'm back to the game and we're back at our guild.

"I don't think Glace will be back as well. She said she finished her job to navigate for us and left as well." I explained and I saw Petula look at me...
"I don't think our boss would do that to us. She may be rude and annoying sometimes but she's not that type to leave her comrades." One of Glace's members said. (Alpha)
"Yeah! She's not strong as me but I can tell that she's trying!" This annoying guy again. (Sylf)
"If she really left then we'll follow her, if we can't find her then we'll follow Two Teeth again like we used to." Another one said while flipping a table... (Reiza)
"If that's what you guys really want then I don't think I can change your minds," I said and decided to leave them.
They showed that they're disappointed but there's really nothing I can do about them. I saw them left after that.

"Scy, is everything all right? You're not yourself." Chara went into the guild hall looking for me while I'm trying to eat something at the table.

"That's the same look I had after my parents died. I don't know what happened but I hope you're doing ok." She showed her concern and I can tell that she's trying to smile.
"Yeah, the Scy I know won't back down even against the strongest monsters and opponents!" Zia showed up as well.
"We're still here and I'm still not the strongest swordsman so count me in!" Leion as well.
Someone grabbed me by the foot! As I checked...
"Holy crap! What the hell Petula!" It was Petula with her undead face under the table!
"You should have seen your face! Haha. That's what they call fan-service!" Petula laughed so hard. No, it's not!
"Hahaha! I saw that Octopus!" Even Osia's here showing how she enjoys seeing my surprised face.
"... ..." Elle and Lili showed up as well and I can tell that they told me the most heartwarming words.
"Whatever happens, we are still here for you even if we die a lot. We're kinda used to it by now." Akko as well. She smiled as well and I'm so glad they're here.
"Hey guys, I don't think everyone will fit in! Aw! Guys, no pushing!" Every guild member, even the elves and Emily's group forced their way in and cheering for me while Elou is being pushed constantly because he was near the door.
"Jeez, I was just enjoying my meal but it looks like we're all here so how about another adventure? Let's travel to the Swampland where no one has ever been to!" I shouted excitedly!
