"Sir, he managed to escape using his dark spell. This is the first time we saw someone use this kind of magic. We've got caught by surprise, Sir," One of the guards reported.
"I can see here that he also destroyed the castle's gate, crafty one. Where's Deandre? I'm sure he can easily defeat that guy," I like his confidence.
"Sir, I'm not really sure what happened, but we just found his corpse outside. He was defeated in a matter of seconds,"
"What?! That's impossible. He's more than Rank III and focused on the constitution. Are you really sure?" I also like his disappointed expression.
"Not only that Sir. Earlier we surrounded him in one of the famous taverns around here. We went inside to arrest him but he killed every single one of the guards who entered the place. A total of 74 guards and fourteen adventurers who also joined the fight were killed. It was horrifying, Sir," He's trembling while remembering what happened.
"Haha... you're joking, right? That's a good one. Haha!" The guild leader still can't believe what happened.
"Sir it's all true. The guards stopped entering because they don't want to get killed," The guard insisted.
"What a bunch of cowards! If only Zeth and Celeste were here. It would be easier for them to capture that man. He should be around Level 300 too to defeat a tank like Deandre," Because of the casualties, he thought Scy was a high-level player.
"Sorry to say, Sir, but yesterday he joined the exploration in the forest and he was only more than a hundred level that time. It's in our records, sir," He cleared it up.
"That's impossible. Maybe that dark magic helped him. For now, we don't want to lose any more manpower. You guys clean up the mess. We will wait for Zeth and Celeste. They're the only ones who can defeat that guy. This is a humiliation to our guild!" He' not happy I can tell.
-West of Order of Light City-
(Scythus' POV)
WOOOOOH! It looks like they stopped chasing me. Maybe I'll visit the Wild Lions hideout for now. They still haven't found it yet I think and without those kittens around, I can use their place.
I can see players hunting near the city and I think they're not still aware of what's happening inside.
I just walked and went straight to the hideout.
We didn't have the chance to explore the place. Maybe they're hiding something here. I should take a look around again.
I went inside and search the whole hideout but the only thing I found was a chest filled with jewelry and stuff. What a lame group, farming for almost a year and this is the only things they've got? Too bad. I brought it back with me. I was thinking of going back but for now, I'll log out and eat my lunch. I'm sure the corpses in the tavern will disappear too after they respawned.
-Aries' Home-
I took a bath, prepared all the things we need. The girls also ate lunch with me.
I finished eating and went to watch the TV. I can hear the girls talking from the kitchen.
"Jeez, Deandre was so careless and got killed earlier. Too bad, we were inside the Light's Library," Mari, are you a bookworm now?
"Yeah, he can be a jerk sometimes but killing him would be a bit overboard, don't you think?" Well, you're not wrong Azzie but I kinda really hated that guy.
"That darkness scared me earlier, but thankfully it was weakened and we can now see using some lanterns and other light producing things," Well, it got weakened maybe because I logged out of the game. Soon, it will disappear.
They decided to go upstairs and play again.
-Living Room-
"Hello, everyone! It's me again Aika from "What's New in New Life Online!". We have live exclusive news right now! There's a big horrible incident happened here in the city of Order of Lights. As you can see the city is in a darkness state yet the sun is high up! This darkness was made by someone named Scythus, an adventurer who went to the castle and created a havoc and destruction," Damn it and now it's all my fault?
"Here is the Gate of the castle. It has a big hole in it. I know what you're thinking folks but this is made by only one man, believe it or not," She showed the gate I destroyed earlier to escape. Jeez. Did I really do that?
"Not only that. He defeated 88 people in this tavern. 74 of them are more than level 200 and 14 of them are normal adventurers who are trying to help the guards to defeat the suspect. And now we will interview the tavern keeper who saw what happened inside," Oh, it's the tavern keeper. I was hoping he would tell her the truth.
"Huhuhu... This person terrorized the citizens of the Order of Light city. He even sullied my humble tavern with disgusting corpses made by his horrible power. Never come back to this city! Huhuhu." Good job increasing my popularity, you jerk. I know that you did it for me to be able to hide in your place later but it will make the misunderstanding even worse.
"That's all folks! This murderer should be arrested as soon as possible," What an ending remark!
I don't know if my party would believe me this time. Jeez, this is all thanks to that Deandre for messing with me. Maybe I should kill him again once he re-spawn.

I went back to the city without alarming anyone. It was still dark but the light of the sun can be already seen though not enough to remove the darkness I made. Wow, Shade's power really is powerful. Unlike a normal dark spell, his is better.
Well thanks to the darkness, people inside can't recognize me. I went straight to the tavern to check if the corpses were still there but thankfully they're gone. The inside was empty, people might be scared to come at this time because I might return.
"Hey, tavern keeper, nice interview,"
"Did you see me cry earlier? Am I that great? Haha," I don't think that laughing right now is appropriate after he ruined my reputation.
"Yeah, yeah, anyway, here's my payment for the madness I caused," I gave him the chest I got from the hideout.
"Wow thank you! You can use the rooms upstairs whenever you want. No one would dare to visit my tavern for a while though, your payment was enough. Anyways, do you want some drinks or food?" He offered me something to eat and took it.
I'm going to stay here for a while and wait for the moons to come out.
