No wonder I can't log in. I died from the Boss' attack which I didn't even know what happened and it's my first day too. Fighting a Boss was fun but scary as hell. It was a good experience. My hands are still shaking from the intense battle. Suddenly, I hear soft footsteps coming from the hallway.
"Hey, Bro, I'm hungry. Let's go and have our dinner," Marie requested. It looks like she was waiting for me.
"Sure! I'll be right there in a minute,"

I'm making a simple tomato omelet which is easy to cook, while my Sis is preparing the table. We still haven't gone shopping for groceries. Eating here by herself would be really sad. I should stop this gloomy mood. I should just do my best with her.
While eating, we also talked about some news around the neighborhood, on what's new and other stuff. I also mentioned that I died from my first day and right now I can't log into the game.
"Ehhhhh? Did you die on your first day? That's really clumsy of you, brother. It's not normal to die on your first day you know. So how did you die? A rabbit bit your foot? Haha," Nice one there, Marie and I can say that she's having fun.
"Way to comfort your brother. Anyways, looks like I can't log into the game for four hours, any reason behind it?" Because I know everyone's not happy with that kind of rule.
"Well, it's because of the PVP system like guild wars, which also happens throughout the game or some greedy players want to capture some villages or cities made by some guilds to make their own. The death penalty makes players think twice when going to wars and the four-hour penalty is to end the battle. It would be annoying if players can just respawn after dying right? Also, some players abuse others so a four-hour break is needed to protect them. You will also be teleported to the nearest friendly village or city," She really knows her game and that all make sense.
"It sounds reasonable. You mentioned last week that you play the game too right, any information about your character right now?" I'm excited to know about her character. Would be fun to hunt monsters with her sometime.
"I'm Marie in the game and my total level is around 300. I have pets which are the ones who do the fighting for me if I can consider them pets. I only use support spells but I also use offensive spells when needed, how about you?" Level 300 huh... that's pretty long gap.
"I use Scythus as my name in the game and I didn't have the time to check my stats earlier because of what happened. Green Leaf village was raided by some goblins, they even brought their Boss and that's how I died, unfortunately. Your level is high! How long are you playing this game?" Yeah, that's what happened. I still can't believe I died, though.
"Awww! That was awful," Is it just me or for some reason, she's grinning.
"Well, since they released the game. I was kinda lonely when you're not around so I spent my free time playing the game. Most of my classmates at our school play it too so I tried it and it was really fun. I don't do much fighting in the game though but I have to because right now, I'm the best support we have." Wow, she's really into the game! Well, at least she's still having fun.
"Thanks for the info, Sis! Just go ahead and let me do the dishes."

After the chat we had, I did clean up the table and washed the dishes. I've got nothing to do so I thought of watching TV. After switching it on, a news program is currently just starting. This would be informative.

Mr. Handy, the village leader said that they were attacked by a group of goblins, wolf riders and even the Goblin Chief which is a Boss type monster because of its abnormal strength. A lot of players died from the raid. Thankfully they managed to stop the raid and kill the boss with the help of an officer of Order of Light guild. For now, they are doing their best to fix the damage and fortify their defenses from future attacks,"
The program showed some battle scenes from the raid. Our device records our gameplay which can be viewed by using a computer.
"Vanguards guild also discovered a new biome far north of their stronghold. Vanguards guild is one of those that focus on military power. The biome is tundra, which is the coldest part of the world of New Life we discovered so far. Access to tundra is limited because the danger of tundra is not yet determined. Some of their scouts died from the monsters living in that biome. Better wear thick clothes and jackets to fight the arctic climate!"
After the first report about the raid, she managed to wear thick clothes before reporting about the new biome which is really entertaining. Good job for that Aika!
Cold weather means a new spell. I might learn a new mastery when I go there, like Ice magic mastery or something. I should visit it sometimes.
"People are very excited for the coming of the monthly tournament held by Order of Light guild! They are doing their best to improve their fighting masteries to be able to pass the preliminaries. And because the number of players is increasing, the test would be really difficult this time according to our sources. Players enjoy this kind of events where the strongest players compete. We will also interview the winner of the tournament who will earn a good amount of in-game currency. The game company supports this and also will give a handsome cash reward. I hope we get to see new faces this month. Zeth is still the top champion of the tournament with a total level of more than 400 and still undefeated until today! The tournament will start after 2 weeks so guys, enjoy getting stronger!"
She did wear a cosplay of a girl magician this time.
A tournament, not bad! I really want to join but with my current state, I will be a laughing stock. I need to grind somehow to level up fast to improve my stats. For now, I need to research a bit more about the game while waiting.

Marie is already playing the game. According to the website, there are more biomes that haven't been discovered yet. So far, grassland, forests, and the new tundra biomes are the only biomes players discovered so far. Villages, Castles, Cities and even strongholds are common throughout grasslands because it's easier to build on flat surfaces. Tundra would be a hard place to live in so I'm pretty sure they will only build some watchtowers and other scouting buildings for them to check if monsters will raid.
They will only choose 256 participants in the tournament, that number is really low compared to the numbers of all the players who would participate in the test. Zeth also is still undefeated. Maybe he's not only strong but also smart and not to mention he is the one on the cover of the game. He's really popular. Well, I should do some training to catch up. One year is really a long time. Anyway, the tournament will start in two weeks so I don't think that's enough time.
It's already 10 pm, time to log in!
