We rushed towards Akko to let Lili heal her injuries. They might be hiding it but we know that both girls are crying right now after all that happened. We planned to win the tournament but one of us already failed. I can say that the road of becoming the strongest needs a lot of time and here we are, we managed to become on the top 16 participants and I think that's good enough. She did her best and that's all that matters.
Elou carried Akko in his back to our area. I want to say something but I guess it's not a good time. I'll let them calm down a bit.
"We will now announce the next match," Aika doesn't really want to waste time. It seems that the next match will start soon.
"The participants of next match are Aurora, the strongest of Thirteen Gods and Lili, Scythus' party trusted support!" Jeez... of all times. Aurora is the strongest for a reason and it seems she will be fighting Lili who's emotionally unstable right now... This is not good.
Lili and Aurora went to the arena to prepare for the match. I was hoping I could fight Aurora because if I can beat her and that would decrease the strong opponents but the matchmaking really is not on our side. This will be a really tough fight for Lili. I'm pretty sure she knows it too by now but I know Lili, she won't go down without a fight.
"Ready, Fight!" That's the signal of the start of the fight.

Specialty: Top-tier support spells and subpar attacking light spells. Can be resurrected once a day.
"Lili's resurrection and light spells might really help her but Aurora's abilities are beyond our imagination. Her power to slow and speed up time in an area is really a big deal in a fight. What do you think Mr. Maximus?" Aika didn't mess up this time.
"Lili's at disadvantage right now. Aurora's been playing so long that she managed to get one power that is really hard to get. Lili's really good too but I can't tell for sure." Old geezer replied.
"I know this is hard for you right now but we don't have a choice but to set aside our emotion and just focus on the fight," Aurora said to Lili. She's really different now. She can read the mood unlike when she won the Queen of the Icy Mountain.
"I know. Don't hold back and show me your true power." Lili replied for once. She respects her as an opponent. They are both really serious right now. All I know about her abilities is that she can use time spells but not with her sword techniques. She uses normal armor and a sword as her weapon.
"Ok, then I will start now... ACCELERATE!" Aurora used a self-buff spell that increases her movement speed making her evade attacks easier and attack faster. I'm not sure what her level is but I know that it's higher than all of us.
"LIGHT ULTIMATE BARRIER!" She used her best physical barrier that reduces the damage of physical attacks dramatically.
"FAST THRUST!" Aurora launched a fast stab and trying to test out the barrier's durability.
*BAAAAAAAAM!* Her attack was powerful but not enough to even scratch Lili's barrier. That's what you can expect from one of our party members.
"Not bad. Your barrier really is sturdy but I will try a different move. I will activate the passive of my monster soul. I hope you can keep up." Aurora warned Lili like as if Lili's barrier can't keep up with her next attack.
"FAST SWIPE!"
*BAAAAAAAM!* She used a side slash attack and hit Lili's barrier but like the first attack, it also didn't affect much the barrier. But...
*BAAAAM BAAAM BAAAAM....!* What the heck? She created a duplicate of herself in ethereal form and repeated the same move over and over again! How did she do that? Her barrier still didn't break but the real problem is her attack didn't stop and Lili decided to back off or her barrier would eventually break or run out of mana from defending!
"Ugh..." Lili let out a sound of a bit of annoyance. The duplicate disappeared after a couple of seconds.
"You're surprised, right? This is the first time I used it in the tournament. You're just really a tough fellow that I need to use my monster soul's passive skill to try breaking your defense or we could stay here a little bit longer. My passive's effect is when I use an attack it will be repeated for a couple of seconds in the same place where I used it." Aurora explained. That really answered my question but is it too much? (He's someone to talk who has a passive of that can't get hit by physical attacks.)
"It's time to show you how I spam my abilities! FAST THURST! FAST SWIPE! FAST FORWARD SLASH!" She used some random attacks to attack Lili! But Lili's barrier is really durable that her attacks were stopped by her barrier but...
*BABABABAAAAM BABABABAAAAM!* Her passive created multiple clones that attack Lili multiple times! She can't get away because the attacks were so fast from different directions and it's hard to move!
*CRAAAAAAACK!* Lili's barrier finally broke after taking a lot of damage from the attacks that I can't even count!
"It looks like your barrier had enough of my attacks. I will end your suffering now. SONIC SLASH WAVES!" She slashed her sword multiple times and sonic waves were created and flying towards Lili! Lili's in trouble without her barrier!
"LIGHT ULTIMATE BARRIER!" Lili tried to recreate her barrier again but she failed to create one! Initial use of barrier requires a lot of mana and because it broke earlier, her mana is already low from getting hit by Aurora's sword skills. This is bad, really bad.
"SWOOOOSH SWOOOSH SWOOOSH!" Lili got hit by the sonic waves and was injured. She is now bleeding which decreases her life for a couple of seconds... but not again...
*SWOOOOSH SWOOOSH SWOOOSH!* Incoming! Aurora's passive took effect and a clone shot another couple of sonic waves. Lili again was hit by her attack! It was solid multiple hits and I felt that Lili's already out! Her life depleted completely and her lifeless body fell on the floor.
"Is it already the end of the match?! Did she already win from that monstrous barrage of attacks?!" Aika was surprised by the outcome. It was a mismatch. Their abilities are at different leagues.
"I don't think so... Lili still has her monster passive which she can revive after death for once a day. The match still didn't end from that." Old geezer is right. I can now feel her mana flowing.
