Vy, on the other hand, was still buried in the mountain of paperwork she had to get done. It was only on the day of the Countess's departure was she finally free from it. Upon signing the last document, she stood up and stretched her limbs.

"That's the last one," Caster said as he filed it.

"Just in time too. The Wickerhems are leaving today,"

"I'm assuming you're taking the rest of the day off, milady?"

Vy nodded, "If anything important crops up, just get someone to find me and I will be right with you."

With her duties completed, Vy headed down to the Market Square where she and Lycster had agreed to meet. Upon arriving, she noticed that Lycster and the Countess were already there.

Count Cristo, however, was nowhere to be seen. She quickly took her seat at the table as piping hot plates of fried rice were served to them minutes later.

"I hope the food is to your liking, Countess Lyra," Vy said with a smile.

"It's different, but it's good," she politely replied as she ate a spoonful of piping hot rice.

Vy turned over the Lycster. Seeing her brother so happy made her smile. As he tried to eat his rice with one hand, it proved difficult to do. Countess Lyra wanted to help him with it but he politely declined.

"It's alright, I can handle it," he said with a smile on his face as he carefully manoeuvred the food into his mouth.

The Countess turned over to Vy and asked, "Wasn't there a way the healers could have reattached his arm?"

Vy bit her lip and shook her head. As the events of what transpired flashed past in her mind, Vy made sure to show no visible giveaway of what truly happened.

"It was too mangled to be reattached. But we're working on getting him a new arm. We're actually going to collect it in a few days time,"

With a mouthful of rice, Lycster garbled through his words, "Yeah! We're going to Aldergard City to get it! You should come with us!"

Lycster's sudden request surprised the Countess causing her to fluster. But she quickly recomposed herself and informed her son that she could not go.

"I've got duties to attend to back in Wickerhem Estate. But I'm sure I can visit you some other time."

The boy did not think too much of it, nor did he pursue it any further. The Countess heaved a sigh of relief while Vy watched the entire scene play out before her. She continued to enjoy her meal with her brother and his mother without much thought.

After their meal was done, they spent a little more time in the Market Square looking through the stalls. It is also here that Vy meets Carole for the first time since they got back.

"I hear you won't be staying long this time either," Carole sighed as she took a seat down on a wooden chair in her stall.

She nodded in response, "We're going to Aldergard City. Have you heard of that place?"

Carole scratched her chin as she fell silent, deep in thought.

"Can't say I have. What will you find there?"

Vy explained to her the purpose of their trip there. It was to retrieve Lycster's arm as promised by Future Eye and to be briefed about the third and final mission. Seeing as Lycster and his mother had wandered off to explore the market, Vy felt a little more at ease to share the details with Carole.

Carole listened intently to what Vy had to say. She only asked her questions after the young woman had finished her explanation.

"Do you have any clues at all on what the mission would entail?"

Vy shook her head, "Not a clue. But I have a feeling I might be gone for some time."

"Gone? For some time?" Carole arched an eyebrow.

"A longer period of time than before. But I don't know for certain," she sighed.

Silence hung in the air between both women. They watched as the travellers walked by the stall front. Carole stood up to make a pot of herbal tea. She decided to switch their topic of discussion to something a little more light-hearted.

"There's been rumours about how the Baron went missing. Apparently, his family covered up most of what had happened,"

"Oh?" Vy commented as Carole passed her a cup of hot herbal tea.

The Baron had not come up in her mind for quite some time. She did not regret the decision she made, or the justice she carried out. All those people sought vengeance and she delivered it on their behalf, hoping they would be at peace.

"Some people say the butler is still trying to find his master, digging up dirt all around their Mansion," Carole explained.

She then led on into a different conversation, "I heard from your brother you met a certain someone on your island adventures?"

Vy smiled as she placed the cup of herbal tea down on the table next to her with an undeniable smile upon her face.

"What did that brother of mine tell you?"

Carole chuckled, "He promised to tell me more another day. But he mentioned you've met this certain someone before… at the hot spring?"

It was not Carole's words that caused Vy's face to turn beet red yet again. It was remembering the events of Yama Yoma that made her heart palpitate. Seeing the young woman's nervous expression made Carole laugh.

This reminded her of her younger days.

"Is he handsome?" Carole asked with a grin on her face.

"Carole!" Vy yelped, surprised that the woman would ask her such a question. As Dygo's face came to mind, she did not know what to say.

"I mean…"

"So he isn't?" She quickly added in hopes of catching Vy off guard.

"No, I mean… he has a deer skull for a head so…" Vy could not put it into words.

Carole raised an eyebrow as she took a sip of her herbal tea, "A deer skull for a head? Vy, you have some weird taste in men…"

"Carole, I do not! He's… he's really nice and there's something about him that I just can't quite put my finger on. Talking to him is like talking to an old friend I had not seen in years," Vy tried to explain herself.

Seeing her taking her comment so seriously made Carole smile. She patted the young woman on the shoulder.

"As long as you're happy, that's all that matters. So when are the two of you going to get married?"

"What?! No! He asked me out on a date but that's it. Getting married? That's insane!" That was the last thing on her mind.

They barely knew each other, but from their past encounters, Dygo seemed genuinely nice. Although depending on how her next mission goes and when he completes his, it might be quite sometime before the two of them would even meet again.

"You must really like him a lot, for you to summon him into that maze you were in," Carole continued to tease.

Vy shot her a gaze, "Just how much did Lycster tell you? That boy is going to get a piece of my mind when I see him again."
