Two spider beasts, about the same size as Red silk, each stood on one side of the Throne. As they got nearer, Red Silk bent down his large body in a sort of kneeling position.

"My Queen, I have brought you a human," Red Silk announced, "A human who can understand us."

Vy bowed respectfully, before looking up at the throne. Seated at the throne was an alluring beauty with pale white skin, with white markings lining throughout her entire body.

She wore a simple sleeveless dress spun spider silk. Similar to Red Silk, she had three pairs of eyes, each of them ruby red in colour. She looked relatively human-like with eight appendages sprouting from her back.

Each of her eight legs was also white, almost translucent towards the ends. Her hair was silver-grey, with a crown of lace resting on her head.

"Brother, what did you bring?" The elder spider beast who stood on the left asked.

"A human who can understand us, you said Red Silk?" The Queen spoke.

Her voice was melodious and otherworldly. It was nothing like Vy had ever heard of before.

"Greetings, your Highness. My name is Vyrena." Vy introduced herself.

The Spider Queen stood up from her throne. Despite the warning from her subordinates, she walked up to Vy. Red Silk took a few steps to the side, leaving Vy to fend for herself.

"Lift your head up," the Queen commanded.

Vy looked up into the eyes of the Queen. To be honest, it was difficult to concentrate since the Spider Queen had three pairs of eyes. But Vy picked a pair to look at and stuck with it.

Her heart was palpitating in her ears but her legs did not shake in fear. The Spider Queen was impressed by the human before her. It had been too long since she had met one who could understand their language.

"My name is Willow and I am the Spider Queen."

"It's nice to meet you, Queen Willow."

Queen Willow nodded, circling around Vy and observing her every move. The queen casually picked up Vy's hands to take a closer look.

"Red bands, that seems to be a recurring theme for the ones who can understand us," she said to herself as she continued to inspect Vy.

"Would you happen to know the way to take them off?" Vy asked.

Queen Willow paused, looking at Vy in the eyes.

"You ask good questions, Vyrena," She mused.

"Thank you," Vy chuckled, "I hope you might have some good answers for me too."

Willow laughed, "That depends very much on the questions asked. There might be a way, I am not certain."

Vy nodded.

She might not seem like she has the brute strength, like the elder and regular spider beasts, but Vy was certain the Queen should not be taken likely. Even if she did not have physical brute strength, Vy was certain she had other capabilities.

Seeing as her life hung in the balance anyways, Vy became bolder with her questions.

"Would you happen to know a way out of here?"

Queen Willow stopped in her tracks.

"A way out of where?"

"A way out of the Jungle."

"You mean beyond the wall?"

Vy nodded.

The Spider Queen smiled. She walked away from Vy and moved towards Red Silk.

"You've done well, Red Silk. Good work."

Before Vy could ask any follow-up questions, Queen Willow clapped her hands together. She turned back to Vyrena with a smile.

"Vyrena, the first human to have entered the Spider nest alive in quite some time. You are my guest and are not to be harmed," the Queen declared.

She walked back to her throne and sat down before continuing to speak, "We will speak more later tonight. For now, Red Silk,"

Red Silk came forward, "Yes, your highness."

"Make sure our guest is comfortable and alive," she instructed.

"As you wish," Red Silk replied.

Vy was ushered away from the Throne area and into the fog. Red Silk dragged her away by the arm and brought her to a nearby cave and shoved her in there.

"You could be a little more gentlemanly," Vy commented as she rubbed her arm.

Red Silk snickered, "Well I'm a spider so I don't have to."

Vy laughed, "I guess you're right on that one."

Vy looked around at the cave she was in. It was as its namesake was, a cave. An empty cave. Red Silk turned to leave but Vy stopped him.

"Wait! So I'm just supposed to wait here until I'm summoned?" She asked.

Red Silk turned back to reply, "Yeah, pretty much."

Vy bit her lip. There was not even a comfortable spot for her to sit on. Looking all around, she felt a little uneasy.

"Can't I just follow you around until I'm needed?"

Red Silk vehemently shook his head. He did not want a human following him around as he conducted his duties for the rest of the day! Not only would it be cumbersome, the number of stares and whispers he had to endure…

He would never hear the end of it.

"Just do whatever you want," he barked, "I'll be able to find where you are anyways."

With that, he left the cave and disappeared into the fog. Vy cursed under her breath as she looked at her surroundings. At the very least, she now had some shelter. But looking out into the fog, it's unsettling mysterious nature did not provide her with any comfort.

This was where the advantages of being in a Jungle kicked in. There were lots of trees all around, which provided suitable cover and hiding spots. Vy walked out of the cave and looked for a suitable tree.

Once she found it, she quickly climbed up it. She was pleased to find that the upper parts of the trees were free of spider webs, which meant the spider beasts would unlikely bother her.

She climbed all the way up until she was above the canopy layer. The fog did not go that high so she was still able to get an aerial view of her surroundings.

Although the current situation was not ideal, she would just have to make do with what she had for now. She had not been eaten by spider beasts which is a good sign.

At the very least, not yet.
