"About the window issue, I think I might be able to help."

It was a silver haired gentleman who said that, and standing just behind him was pretty boy.

"Mr Silver Fox!" Jade exclaimed in her excitement.

Of course, Silver Fox raised an eyebrow at that unusual greeting. "Mr Silver Fox?"

Realizing what she had just said, Jade's face became as red as a beet. "I… um… er…"

She came up with nothing to explain away her verbal slip.

However, Silver Fox was understanding and quickly laughed it off.

"Ha ha ha. So, Jade, as I was saying, I think I might be able to help with the window situation?"

"If you know anyone who can supply such a window on short notice, that would be ever so helpful."

Jade cupped her hands to her mouth and breathed into them to warm herself up. Even though they had patched up the hole in the cafe, that only consisted of cardboard, so the cold air was still making its way in.

"As a matter of fact, I can do you one better. An old client of mine who I've stayed in touch with handles repairs like this. If I introduce you, you'll only have to pay the cost."

"Really? That's wonderful, thank you so much!"

"Honestly, it's nothing. After all, I can't have my little boy working in the cold."

It was Patrick's turn to go bright red as his father embarrassed him. "Dad…"

The others present all laughed at Silver Fox and Silver Fox Jr.

"I would have offered it to donate it to the cafe's recovery, but I'm pretty sure that Miss Jade would not have allowed it."

Jade chuckled. "Of course, I would not have allowed it. We might just be a small cafe, but we have our own pride. Since you can get us the window at cost, our emergency funds will be able to cover it."

After a moment of thought, Jade then asked, "How long do you think it will be until your old client can start the repairs?"

Silver Fox quickly answered, "He'll be here tomorrow. Actually, I called him on the way here."

That evening, after spending the day trying to hunt down Frank, the presumed perpetrator, Liam's car pulled up outside Night Cafe.

When he saw the state of the cafe, the anger inside of him boiled up once more. It was dark, and the light from inside the store was filtering through the gaps in the cardboard—a truly pitiful sight.

'Frank, that bastard! If I find him, I'll send him a message he won't forget…'

A moment later, he calmed down again.

'I should act cool. I'll pretend I haven't heard the news. That way, I'll get to hear the story from her again.'

Thinking that, Liam got out the car and made his way over to the cafe. After preparing a shocked expression, he made his way into the store.

"Golly gosh! What happened?" He nearly slapped himself in the face. 'I over did it…'
