When Frank saw Jade, all the negative emotions bottled up within him rushed out of his eyes and dripped down his face. Jade could not tell if this was due to his sincere feelings or simply the alcohol.

"Jade… I'm sorry… I did not mean to…"

With slurred words, Frank stumbled forward toward Jade, his tears leaving a dotted trail on the floor. "I'm sorry, Jade. I only did it because of how I feel about you…"

Confusion swirled in Jade's eyes before she remembered. "Ah! Are you talking about the argument in the cafe? You don't need to worry about that. We all get stressed and vent. I'd practically forgotten about it. So please don't worry, I forgive you."

Frank smiled when he heard that he had her forgiveness, but then his addled mind processed everything that she had said. "No, no, no… you don't understand. Why do you never understand me?"

At the sudden harsher tone, Jade stepped back from Frank again. In as calm a voice as she could muster, Jade asked, "What don't I understand Frank? Were you apologizing for something else?"

"Yes," said Frank with a relieved smile. He did not say anything but stared at the cardboard window.

Suddenly, it dawned on Jade. "That was you! People suggested that it might have been you after our argument, but I told them all that it could not have been you! What the hell, Frank!"

She had not intended it, but those word, filled with anger, slipped out. Finally, she knew who it was, but to think it would be someone she knew!

"Frank, why would you do something like that?" Worried that her aggressive tone might induce an unexpected change in the drunk Frank, Jade's question was spoken calmly as she suppressed the boiling rage within her. Although she knew she should not have asked while he was in such a state, she had to know why Frank would commit such a pointless, heartless crime.

"I… I…" Remembering the cold warning from the previous morning, Frank's expression quickly changed from regretful to livid.

"It's that b*stard Parker's fault. And it's your fault. And it's your CEO boyfriend's fault!" Frank spat.

"CEO boyfriend?"

"Don't act innocent! Why else would he send that man to close my business?"

Jade was beginning to regret asking while he was so drunk, but she had already opened the can of worms, so she might as well satisfy her curiosity.

"Frank, I really don't know what you're talking about. Your business has been closed? Was it the authorities, or were you evicted?"

Those were the first two thoughts that came to mind when a business being shut down was mentioned, but in Frank's eyes, this was Jade taunting him.

"You dare claim to not know about it but then mock me with your words? It seems you really are just some dumb, evil bimbo!"

Immediately taking several steps back, Jade realized that she had made a terrible mistake this time, a terrible error in judgement.

'Frank has lost it!'
