The year 2018. Limitless Corporation released the very first game that utilized a full-immersion virtual reality system. The game was supported by the world government and was even encouraging people to play it. At first, it was all fun and games. Farming, doing quests, conquering dungeons, saving NPCs, killing other players, claiming territory. We could do whatever we want. Master the craft of forging. Sail the seas as a pirate or just casually travel around the virtual world with your friends and family. Everything was perfect.

A year later, a discovery was announced on an anonymous social media site. The current top player Alvin Monroe was a former basketball player who got crippled in a car accident. But after playing for a few months and reaching a high level in the game. He noticed that his broken bones and ripped tissues were starting to heal and that he was slowly reaching his peak again, and even surpassing his old self without any rigorous training. Everyone was baffled when they saw Alvin in the video. He was jumping 12 Feet high and can even allow himself to defy nature, having the strength to crush metal and jump 12 story buildings. Soon more discoveries were made and were released publicly. An article was released stating that you are able to summon out items from your inventory into the real world in exchange for the exchange for origin points. The world went into an uproar. Many tried went to play the game again but they were bound to be disappointed.

A few months before the article was known to the world. Large guilds popped up out of nowhere, monopolizing huge pieces of territories and farming spots for themselves. They used sheer numbers and effective maneuver to drive out ordinary players. On top of that, the Guild leaders of famous guilds were constantly changing causing unstableness. It even caused other guilds to disband. Millions of high-level players in the world went missing. The remaining rankers went on hiding and never logged in again in fear of what was gonna happen. These unknown groups also started buying in-game supplies for a lot of money. It was as if they had unlimited ammount of funds. We couldn't find out what were they preparing for, but I have a strong feeling that we'll find out sooner or later. After a deep investigation, we've found out that most of the high-level players that suddenly showed up, all had connections to the government. They were either veterans, soldiers, spies, and agents from Intel organizations. For some reason, it suddenly felt that it wasn't a game anymore. The people tried to report what was happening but the company only replied 'Noim was made to simulate action and reaction. The ecosystem of the game will always depend on variables, including players.' The company didn't gave a shit about what was happening. People all over the world tried to gang up to stop these organization but they were doomed to fail. How could ordinary citizens stop Navy seals and veteran soldiers? How could they survive from real life Assasins and Martial artists? How could they outsmart tacticians who've undergone through war and a thousands operations?

The Sixth year, since Noim was released. The world went to shit. The universe turned brown red as the moon and the sun vanished. We started seeing planets around the earth that was even closer than the moon. The different entities we saw from the game came flying in from outside of the atmosphere as soon as the deep and endless space vanished before our eyes. We were hopeless. Chaos and panic struck throughout the whole world. I mean, who could have known right? Portals suddenly appeared in the sea and the sky connecting this world to dimensions. Several intelligent life forms came to colonize earth enslaving most of humanity. Some of them even used us for food. Dragons took nest in the largest mountains and even the fucking undead came into life.

It was fucked up. It was as if that the endless and vast space was just a facade meant to keep us bottled up in here. Or should I say, it was to keep them out?

Two years later. In an abandoned subway in Singapore.

We made a last ditch effort to take the long road to the last largest group of survivors in Singapore. Our world was getting smaller and smaller as countless entities occupy our world. The Government? Well... the government stopped existing a long time ago. They couldn't contain the situation and eventually gave up on their territory. Their front lines were shredded like sheets of paper. The entities from other worlds chewed them bit by bit, eventually swallowing them whole. It was madness.

As soon as we arrived at Singapore we were chased down by Lurkers. Then this happened. It was my fault... If only I took them to level up for a bit more before moving...

"Mom... Dad..." I immediately summoned the interface and opened up the inventory taking two high-grade blood potions from it. I tried to forcefully feed it to them but they kept rejecting it. A lake of tears was running down through my cheeks as I insisted but...

"No... Willam save it. You need to it for yourself. Look at me, son. Hey! Look at me! Are we really gonna do this now?" My dad screamed at me. His voice was so hoarse I couldn't even recognize it. His eyes were bloodred as if he was summoning the last of his life. He was crying.

"Why..."

"Go on honey. Please don't blame yourself. It's fine as long as we know you love us. We have no regrets."

"Mom! Dad! Please take it! It will be able to heal you up!"

"Listen, son, you have to keep moving on no matter what. There's still some hope left. I can feel it!"

"You have to be strong okay? Don't let me and your mom down. We will always be watching you..."

"Mom! Dad!" I kept screaming at them but they weren't replying anymore. Their face was getting paler and paler every second.

"Please don't leave me... I can't take it anymore..."

"Mom! Dad! Please..."

"I'm tired..."

"I'm so tired..."

"Help me..."
