“My microwave is not working.”
“ “Then use the oven.”

I would never believe in a million years that he was surviving without a working microwave or oven for so long.
But as I looked at his hopeful and sincere expression, I decided on a conciliatory approach, “ Come in.”
And so I invited the wolf into my home
Once inside, he opened my laptop, skilfully entered the password and put on some music I had previously downloaded – the sensuous and sultry kind
I turned it off immediately and put on one of Jay Chou’s songs
The mood immediately shifted with the deafening music
“ Eat quickly”, I told him , “I’m off to bed!”

From tomorrow, I no longer needed to worry about how I would protect myself from this playboy. I should be happy, shouldn’t I ?
But all I felt was a curiously empty sensation in my heart, as if I had been suddenly left twisting in the wind with no support

And for the rest of my life, I will never need to worry about what to eat, or drink, or who will sleep by my side..”
This playboy didn’t have to be so honest in his speech! I wanted to crawl to a corner and die.
