Chapter 26 : A Woman's heart
If this accident had happened in China, the doctor would, at most, wash the wound with a disinfectant and do a simple dressing. Then, with a tetanus shot, he would have sent the patient home
The Japanese doctors were nothing like the doctors back home. They carefully checked me from top to bottom to determine that there were no internal injuries or fractures or that I did not have a concussion, He also suggested I stay a few days in the hospital under observation.
The man in the white coat reminded me a bit of Ye Zhengchen. I became a bit more anxious and prayed that he would have a bit more patience..
Once again , my prayer was ignored. My cell phone rang. The doctor was dressing the wound in my arm so I could not move, I stared at my bag

"It's your boyfriend calling. I'll speak to him."
I remembered that I had stored Ye Zhengchen's number only as 'brother' , but she could actually guess that it was my boyfriend.

" Don't tell him that I am injured", I said. " Just tell him that I can't answer the phone right now and I will call him back."
"Sure."
Yu Yin connected the call. The hospital was quiet. I could clearly hear ye Zhengchen smile. "If you are not back in the next half an hour, don't blame me if I behave like an animal tonight…"
I started sweating! The greatest embarrassment in my life is that I had manage to land a boyfriend like this..
My face heated up like a red pepper.
I guessed Yu Yin had never heard such dirty words. Her face paled.
However, she was, after all, a perfect lady, and soon regained her composure. She softly said, " Hello.."

For a long time, there was silence on the other end.
I figured that the sex maniac on the other side was deeply embarrassed. If I had hung up the phone, he would have killed himself with a piece of tofu from the refrigerator.

The hospital was close to the apartment. I estimated that he would reach in about ten minutes. It just took Ye Zhengchen seven minutes to reach the emergency room.
As soon as he entered the room, he checked my wounds and asked the doctor for a detailed diagnosis.
It was only after the doctor finished that he turned to speak to me.
" How did you get into the accident?"
As he asked me, he glanced at Yu Yin. It seemed she couldn’t shrug off her role in the accident.
"It's not her fault. I ran the red light, but luckily she braked and swerved in time." I was scared of him, so I smiled and said, " Otherwise, I'm afraid you would have to collect your tuition fees from me in my next lifetime.."
He tried to say something, but nothing came out of his mouth, Instead he pulled me into his arms, He held me too tight. I could feel the pressure on my wounds, but I didn't complain. I was just feeling very happy.
Yu Yin stood looking at us. There was no expression on her face. She looked like an angel, standing alone as she observed the love and sorrow of earthly men and women.
I guessed that she must have been reminded of something in her own life, because I could see tears well up in her eyes.

The cost of the hospitalisation , net of the insurance, was borne by Yu Yin
I reminded Ye Zhengchen that this accident was not Yu Yin's fault and that I should refund the money back to her.
He only coldly said, " Yes".

I looked at the ceiling, then at the glass of milk.
"Brother, don't you think the milk is cool enough to drink now?"
