Senator of Washington: "What's going on? Where is the birthday celebrant? Why hasn't she come out yet?" Hope all was well, it would be terrible if something had happened and the party got canceled.

Senator's wife: "Something must have happened to the First Lady. What could it be?

"Ladies and gentlemen, if you would, please bear with us for a moment, the birthday celebrant would be out soon. There's some delay, and we're trying to find out what it is at this moment." The host was doing his best to calm the guests while looking downcast.

"But in the meantime, why don't you all enjoy the platters and dance to the beautiful pieces the violinist and pianist have prepared specially for this occasion." He signaled to the orchestra to start playing a sweet melody for the guests to enjoy. Once the music began playing, he quickly ran towards the VIP room reserved for the First Family.

===

Inside the VIP, the First Lady and her assistant were currently waiting for the President to appear. There was an intense atmosphere, and the air was so thick that it could suffocate a person in a heartbeat.

President Grant and Daniel had not arrived yet, and it was already time for the First Lady to make an entrance. Unfortunately, no matter how hard they tried to get in touch with them, no one could get a hold of either of them, and First Lady Dianne was about to have a heart attack and collapse.

If her husband did not show up soon, she would have no choice but to make an excuse and cancel the celebration. How was she supposed to face all those people when the most important person in her life was not there to celebrate with her. First Lady Dianne had a problem she did not have an answer to...

The host made it to the VIP room; however, he was stopped by the secret service agents outside the door and was not allowed even to knock. "Please, it is eminent that I speak with the First Lady! I implore you to let her know if you won't let me see her. I would wait for her orders, please!!!" He cringed.

The secret service agents looked at each other. Then the one who was in charged nodded his head in agreement. The second agent knocked at the door to ask for permission to enter. Once inside, he relayed the message to the First Lady's assistant and waited for a reply. The assistant went to the adjoining room where the First Lady was seating with her head down and shoulders shaking.

From what the assistant could gather, she was sobbing, and it was breaking her heart to pieces. 'I feel sorry for you my First Lady, but you have done it to yourself. I had told you over and over in the past that you need to turn a new leaf, but you continued with your scheming. Now, it has come back to bite you.' He thought as he walked towards her to relay the message.

"Excuse me First Lady Dianne; your guests are waiting. And the host of the party is currently outside waiting for your instructions. What should I tell him?" He asked with sadness in the tone of his voice.

The First Lady looked up, and her assistant was shocked to see her smeared eye shadow from crying. Her once beautifully made-up face was now in chaos, she looked disorderly and a bit scary.

"What did you just say? Oh! The party? Guests? Waiting...? Ahhhh! I don't know. You are re my assistant, make something up! Why are you even asking me this?... I don't know!!!" She shouted so loud that the Secret service outside the room heard every word and shook his head then smirked.

The assistant was stunned; he had never heard the First Lady yell that loud before. No matter how mad she got, she always made sure she was composed and spoke correctly. But at that particular moment, she was totally a different person, and he felt sorrier for her from the way she looked at the moment.

"What are you waiting for? Go!!!! Make an excuse. Wait!!! Better yet, go and... Ahhh!" First Lady Dianne could not spit out the words she wanted to. She made a big sigh before she continued what she was saying. "Go... Go... Go!!! Cancel the damned party!" She shouted before getting up to pick up her phone to call someone...

"Hello! Are you out there? Come to the VIP room, bring your parents with you, and don't let anyone see you. You understand?" First Lady Dianne was speaking with Jane Si, who was busy flirting with one of the young celebrities. She had to excuse herself but was not happy about being interrupted at all.

Jane Si's parents were divorced when she was still young. Her Father lived in the Philippines, and her Mother, who happened to be First Lady Dianne's younger sister lived in California.

Jane Si quickly looked for her Father and Mother and found both sitting at different tables. She informed her Father first, then went to her Mother afterward to do the same thing. Her Mother wasn't too happy about being interrupted, either; she was doing the same thing...Flirting with one of the Producers from Hollywood. Like Mother, like daughter.

The Si family inconspicuously went to the VIP room. They made sure that no one had seen them or followed them. Once they arrived, the secret service quickly let them inside the room. What was in front of them was a sore sight to see. First Lady Dianne was crying her heart out on the shoulder of her assistant. While her assistant was caressing her back like a little child, if anyone else besides them saw this situation, they would think they were lovers instead of employer and employee...

"*Ahem Ahem*" Mr. Si loudly coughed so that the two people could hear him.

The assistant quickly released the First Lady from his embrace. Then he got up and stood like a statue at the side of the sofa where the First Lady was seated like a bewitched queen. First Lady Dianne, straightened her disheveled gown and arranged some tendril of her hair that fell out of place before turning her attention to the Si family.

"Good! You're here. There's something I want you all to do..."
