Gu Tian Tian agrees An Yin Zhu took care of her since he was a boy. She remembers eighty percent of her childhood, he took care of her more than her parents.
Gu Tian Tian reminds herself not to see An Yin Zhu in a good light. She can’t forget the real devilish An Yin Zhu who groped her in bed last night.
‘Don’t add too much pepper,’ An Yin Zhu says. ‘Last night you were feverish.’
An Yin Zhu passes a plate of meat to Gu Tian Tian.
‘Who’s feverish?’ Gu Tian Tian asks.
‘You have a red bean on your face,’ An Yin Zhu says.
‘You have a red bean on your face,’ Gu Tian Tian mumbles.
Zhang Xiao Man elbows her boyfriend Chen Kai Hua and jokes. ‘Kai Hua, don’t you think Yin Zhu is a woman’s ideal man?’
Gu Tian Tian wishes Zhang Xiao Man can see the real devilish An Yin Zhu who is the opposite to his angelic looks.
‘Isn’t eating hot food not good for someone who’s feverish?’ Gu Tian Tian asks sarcastically.
‘You’re right, you shouldn’t eat hot food,’ An Yin Zhu says, and cuts the meat into pieces for Gu Tian Tian.
Gu Tian Tian’s first reaction, An Yin Zhu is a fake. Her second reaction, An Yin Zhu is a big fake.
‘Then what am I supposed to eat?’ Gu Tian Tian asks.
An Yin Zhu swaps the plate of meat for a plate of salad. Gu Tian Tian is exhausted from a morning mountain climb. She salivates at the plate of meat, but doesn’t want to let him win.
An Yin Zhu watches Gu Tian Tian eat a plate of salad and smiles cheekily. ‘Are you hungry?’
Gu Tian Tian isn’t fooled by An Yin Zhu’s angelic looks in white clothing. But she admits he’s a good cook. When he was a ten-year-old, he knows how to cook delicious meals for her to eat… except he accidently lit the kitchen on fire.
An Yin Zhu reads Gu Tian Tian’s thoughts and defends himself. ‘Gu Xiao Zhu, that happened years ago. I’m not a master chef. But my cooking skills have improved enough to satisfy your hunger.’
An Yin Zhu grabs ingredients, and starts cooking a healthy meal for Gu Tian Tian.
‘Does seeing me cook make you think about something?’ An Yin Zhu asks.
‘Like what?’ Gu Tian Tian asks.
‘Like I’ll make a good husband,’ An Yin Zhu says.
‘Looks are deceiving,’ Gu Tian Tian says, and blushes.
‘If looks are deceiving then old grudges aren’t reliable,’ An Yin Zhu says. ‘Can you say I didn’t take good care of you in the past? What boxes don’t I tick for you?’
Gu Tian Tian admits An Yin Zhu knows how to take good care of her. What are his traits that dissatisfy her? He’s egotistical, and most of the time doesn’t consider her opinions. He’s a pervert toward her, but he doesn’t cross her comfort boundaries.
Gu Tian Tian thinks about last night, and believes she has officially lost her mind. She lied naked underneath An Yin Zhu last night, but he didn’t go all the way. She’s an attractive young woman… does that mean he doesn’t find her body appealing?
Gu Tian Tian focuses on eating the bland salad. Feverish? It’s obvious she’s been sleep deprived because of An Yin Zhu, but she can’t announce it in front of his colleagues.
An Yin Zhu gives Gu Tian Tian a plate of healthy ingredients he cooked for her.
‘Eat more,’ An Yin Zhu says.
Gu Tian Tian eats An Yin Zhu’s dish and pretends it’s not delicious.
‘Your cooking isn’t edible,’ Gu Tian Tian says.
An hour later, Gu Tian Tian regrets not eating all of An Yin Zhu’s cooked dish because the afternoon hike depletes her energy.
An Yin Zhu holds onto Gu Tian Tian waist, and helps her walk up a steep trail.
‘Are we there yet?’ Gu Tian Tian asks.
‘Another half an hour,’ An Yin Zhu says. ‘Do you want me to piggyback you?’
‘No,’ Gu Tian Tian says.
Half an hour later, Gu Tian Tian sits on a sofa at the resort’s reception and she doesn’t want to move a muscle.
An Yin Zhu waves the key to his and Gu Tian Tian’s cabin. She shakily stands up, follows him to their cabin, and lies dead on the bed.
An Yin Zhu unpacks his and Gu Tian Tian’s clothes from the hiking bag. Afterward, he takes off his shoes and lies next to her on the bed.
Gu Tian Tian has enough energy to open her eyes. ‘Why are you here?’
‘I forgot to tell you, we’re sharing the same cabin room tonight,’ An Yin Zhu says.
Gu Tian Tian knows An Yin Zhu planned all along for them to share the same cabin room. She’s indifferent to sleeping on the same bed with him in the past. But everything changed last night, because they saw each other naked. What’s going to happen between them if they’re sleeping in a remote cabin room together?
Gu Tian Tian forces her numbed body to get out of bed.
An Yin Zhu holds her arm. ‘What are you scared of?’
‘Who’s scared?’ Gu Tian Tian asks.
An Yin Zhu leans his face close to Gu Tian Tian’s face. She knows he wants to kiss her, and purposely turns her head to the side. He rolls on top of her, holds her chin and kisses her lips. She looks coldly at him, he covers her eyes and his tongue pries her teeth apart.
