Di Qiuhe got up so early the next morning, it was their wedding day!
He took a look at He Bai who was still sound asleep and rolled his eyes, then he started to harass He Bai, “Bai! Time to get up, let’s doll up, it’s our wedding day!”
“Don’t worry, I got this, I slept late last night due to the lottery, stop harassing me and let me sleep.”complained He Bai with his eyes closed tightly.
Di Qiuhe bent down and kissed him feverishly, trying to wake him up in this way, but it was of no avail. Then Di Qiuhe squeezed He Bai on his cheek, “Come on, puppy, today is the big day.”
He Bai dodged Di Qiuhe’s hand and rested his head on Di Qiuhe’s shoulder, eyes still closed tightly, “I know, we’ve agreed we are just having a big lunch with family and friends, haven’t we? Nothing fancy, plus our marriage isn’t actually acknowledged by the government. Yeah, let’s think of today like a big gathering rather than a wedding ceremony, what do you... ...” yawned He Bai.
“Haha, having a big lunch with family and friends is just part of the ceremony.” Di Qiuhe raised his right eyebrow and looked at He Bai with a cheeky smile, then he stroked He Bai’s hair and carried into his arms, walking to the bathroom, “We are of course holding a grand wedding ceremony, come on. We are getting married!”
“Say what now?” hearing that, He Bai opened his eyes wide and stare at Di Qiuhe, digesting what he had just heard.
Di Qiuhe pushed open the bathroom door and put He Bai in the bathtub which was already filled with water, “I said of course we are holding a grand wedding ceremony!”
The second He Bai was put in the bathtub, he realized this wasn’t a dream, he grabbed Di Qiuhe on his arm and asked one more time trying to confirm, “But wait, we’ve agreed we are just having a big lunch with family and friends, grandpa and Uncle Hu both agreed too.”
A big goofy smile was the reply.
About an hour later, He Bai and Di Qiuhe walked out of the door hand in hand, and He Bai was totally dumbfounded.
“Congratulations, Mr. Di and Mr. He!” exclaimed the bodyguard.
He Bai took two steps back subconsciously, he had not seen this coming at all, the bodyguards were wearing black tie and standing in two lines in the yard. Just outside of the gate of their house, there was a shiny limo waiting for them.
Di Qiuhe took Bai who was still speechless to the limo and kept whispering at his ear, “Relax Bai, just enjoy.”
After they sat in the limo for a little while, He Bai came to his sense, he swooped to Di Qiuhe and pretended he was going to strangle him, “Childish Di, what’s going on again? Tell me everything!”
“This is a surprise from grandpa.” chuckled Di Qiuhe, he wrapped his hands around He Bai’s lower back and continued, “This is so exciting Bai, finally we are getting married, we are going to put a ring on each other’s finger.”
He Bai took a deep breath and tried to embrace the moment.
“From today on, every time you hold your camera, our ring will touch your camera.” Di Qiuhe caught hold of He Bai’s hand, he played with He Bai’s fingers, “Isn’t that great? Every time you hold your camera, when you are taking pictures of the scenery, the scenery knows we belong to each other, when you are taking pictures of people, people know we belong to each other, and when you are taking pictures of me, we look at each other in the eye, we both know we belong to each other.” said Di Qiuhe with his eyes sparkling and voice shaking.
He Bai felt so touched, he lowered his hand and caught hold of Di Qiuhe’s hand as well. He had no idea Di Qiuhe had prepared such a big surprise for him.
“Puppy,” Di Qiuhe pressed his forehead against He Bai’s, “thank you so much for giving me this opportunity to spend the rest of my life with you.”
He Bai hugged Di Qiuhe and left him a kiss on the cheek, “Silly Childish Di, I should be thanking you. And... sorry, I haven’t prepared you a ring.”
“That’s no problem, I got two, we each get one.” Di Qiuhe stroked He Bai’s hair, “I got it all under control, you don’t need to worry about a thing.”
He Bai hugged him tighter and nodded, “Thank you, Childish Di.”
About an hour later, they arrived at a secluded chapel in the western suburb.
Fan Da and Uncle Hu were standing at the gate of the chapel, both were beaming. Niu Junjie, Chen Jie, Wang Hu and Xiuwen were standing on either side of the gate, busy with greeting guests.
After the car stopped, Xing Shaofeng came opened the car door for the groom and the groom, Li Ru was scattering rose petals on them, all beaming.
“Photographer, please, the groom and the groom are about to enter.” exclaimed Niu Junjie.
To He Bai’s surprise, Xu Ying who was wearing a suit for the first time emerged from nowhere, he rushed to the limo and assumed his position, he took a few snaps of Di Qiuhe who got of the limo first and murmured, “What a gorgeous man.”
“Ahem!” He Bai’s teacher Xu Yinrong tapped Xu Yinrg on his shoulder, “Ying, your junior fellow disciple is getting married today, and when can I attend yours?”
Xu Ying gave a dry smile to Xu Yinrong, he didn’t want to start this conversation, he strode to He Bai who got off the car now and exclaimed, “Congratulations! My junior fellow disciple, I wish you much happiness together!”
He Bai smiled, he hugged Xu Ying and said, “Senior fellow disciple, you haven’t answered Professor Xu’s question yet, when can we attend your wedding?”
“Yeah, I’m looking forward to it too.” chimed in Jun Chen, he curled his lips and said, “Please inform me as soon as you find that someone, I gotta be the first one to say ‘I feel sorry for you’ to your better half.”
Hearing that, Professor Xu squinted his eyes and frowned. Somehow, he felt something unusual going on between his disciple and this Jun Chen guy.
