I was thinking of renting Lady’s restaurant at the current market price.” Mu Yunyao had studied all the places in Jingling City for the longest time. She eventually chose that particularly restaurant due to its good location and its relationship with Lady Jin. If Colour Moon Shop wanted to make trouble for her, this relationship with Lady Jin would keep her business safe.
“That restaurant has been making loss for the longest time, I’ve always wanted to rid of it. Since you want it, just take it, you don’t have to speak about any rent!” Lady Jin felt relieved and regained some energy. She called for Yin Hong to come and get the deed to the restaurant building.
“Lady, even the closest brothers must properly pay each other in full. That restaurant has a fantastic location, every year’s rent must be at least a few thousand. If you’re just giving it to me for free, I might lose sleep,” Mu Yunyao gave an earnest smile. Although her tone was a bit more familiar, she did not forget the hierarchy present.
Lady Jin thought for a while before nodding her head happily. “Alright, however, the market value is a bit superficial. You can just give me seventy percent of it. Do not reject me anymore, otherwise I will be very angry.”
Mu Yunyao smiled brilliantly and got up to bow to Lady Jin. “Yes. Once I earn the big bucks, I will bring a generous gift to thank Lady.”
Lady Jin laughed. She felt as if a heavy weight had been lifted off from her heart. If she had realised earlier that someone had been poisoning her, her children might already be Mu Yunyao’s age.
Mu Yunyao took the contract and carefully studied the contents. The both of them signed it and put their hand marks on it. Thus marks the beginning of Mu Yunyao’s new business location.
Lady Jin warmly invited Mu Yunyao to stay for a meal. This time, Mu Yunyao did not reject. When she saw the food in the table, she froze.
“Do you not like this type of food? If you want to eat any particular dish, just tell Yin Hong. She will get the chefs to make it.” Under her orders, she had gotten someone to break the chef’s fingers while making it look like an accident. It would take one to two months for them to heal.
“That’s not it. It’s just that seafood is naturally cooling, Mother is always telling me to not eat too much. Since I’m at Lady’s place now, I am going to eat my fill.” Mu Yunyao was not being overly polite and careful. Her relationship with Lady Jin had already improved by another step, if she acted too polite, Lady Jin might not feel at ease.
Lady Jin’s expression darkened. She laughed bitterly, “Looks like I am still not thinking as much as I should. I have always been a glutton as a child. I did hear that seafood is very cooling, but my wet nurse had always doted on me. She said that I could just eat heaty food to accompany the seafood and there would not be much problem. Thus it has become a habit.”
“Eating it on occasion is fine, but one should not eat it everyday.”
Lady Jin was unable to appreciate this meal, but Mu Yunyao was extremely satisfied. Some of this dishes were unable to get with just money. In the future, when she becomes successful, she would definitely let Mother eat all the good food under the Heavens.
When she finished her food, Mu Yunyao requested for a pen and paper. She wrote down some instructions for Lady Jin to follow to cure her body. “Lady should pay extra attention to the seasons. It’s summer now, so it’s a good time to get rid of all the coolness in your body. The effect should be much better.”
