I had to admit that it was a weird feeling. Watching so many people/abnormals fight each other.

It was not that I was a novice when it came to fighting.

In fact, I was fairly certain that since the apocalypse started, I myself alone had killed more than thousands of abnormals and mutant beasts.

But watching so many of them fight each other at once really put things in a completely different perspective.

'I guess this is war feels like.' I thought as I watched the 3rd tier abnormals wreck havoc in the defensive lines on top of the wall.

More back up fighters came out and took their places as each 3rd tier abnormal took a few humans with itself before it was torn apart by the hail of bullets.

The 3rd tier abnormals made way for 2nd tier abnormals who successfully climbed to the top when some of the backups were late in their arrival causing even more havoc amidst their ranks.

That went on until the leader or one of his lieutenant arrived in that area and pushed the abnormals back and gave some breathing room to the humans.

It was a fierce struggle. Something the likes of I've never seen before.

And while I was watching all this with trepidation and bit of fear, Rahul's face was impassive as ever.

Just goes to show how much more I need to learn in this world.

So I took a deep breath and calmed my heart before I tried to remove my emotions and watch this fight in a logical manner.

And I realized the reason why Rahul was not the slightest bit perturbed.

The humans were winning.

Sure a few of them died in the hands of 3rd tier abnormals from time to time but as a whole, they had an overwhelming advantage over their enemy.

Still, I did not like the battle.

There were so few of us humans left nowadays.

The fact that more than a hundred of them would die in this fight alone gave me a lot of grief that I did not wanted to feel.

I tried to control my emotions and tried to learn as much from this fight as I could.

Because who knows, tomorrow it might be me who is fighting a defensive battle like this.

And as I watched fight in a rational manner, I understood more about this particular battle.

This battle was already over.

The abnormals, who had once numbered in thousands were left with no more than 500 at this point.

And the humans had a lot more to spare.

But the Holler did not know this.

Sure it was a bit more intelligent than other abnormals, but it was not a good commander.

It did not know that it had thrown all of it's troops in this fight without gaining anything in return.

Nor did it knew that there were still a lot of human inside the city who were capable of fighting it.

Perhaps if it sent all of it's 3rd tier abnormals at once at the start of the fight along with the 4th tier abnormal, it might have won this fight.

Perhaps if it had had focused all of it's forces in one particular area instead of spreading them throughout the town, it might have pierced their defences and concurred their town.

If it had lived to grow a bit more. Gained a bit more intelligence, gained a few more subordinates and focused on increasing their levels instead of numbers, it might have become a dangerous foe.

Such a shame… that I would not live past today.

I will make sure of it.

As it send out more of the 3rd tier abnormals in frustration, I looked at big bro who looked back at me and we both nodded passively to each other before we wore our cloak and merged with the background.

—————

Abnormals usually have less than 1/4th the perception of an average human with the same amount of strength and agility.

That is one of the reason why it is so easy for us to fool their senses and attack them so wantonly at nights.

That was also the reason why we were able to slip past the few 3rd tier abnormals that remained at the back to guard the Holler.

They were tall and their gazes were fixed at the walls where the battle was going on.

I am not sure if they would have noticed me even if I had walked around them without the Camouflage Cloak.

The point is, it was laughingly easy for us to reach so close to the Holler and it's guard.

I looked at the blur standing beside me and gave a slight nod and saw it's blurry head nod back in return.

And then…

woosh woosh!!!

Sounds of dual blades and the Holler was attacked by Big bro as I moved on to the 4th tier abnormal who looked back dumbly at where the sound had come from before...

CRADACK!!!

I buried the Cleaver on it's head.

The blade went halfway through it's skull before it go buried in there. It's face was split in half and one of it's eyes came out of it's socket as black blood along with grey brain matter oozed out of the wound and it's face went black.

Before it contorted in fury as it looked down at me and I got the startling realization that I had failed to dispose of my enemy, while were in still surrounded by them.

"Shit!" I cursed as it took out the blade from it's skull as if it was something that it did regularly. The 3rd tier abnormal around me grew restless and a looked at the sight with a confused expression before they truly understood what was happening.

I considered leaving the blade behind and making a run for it as despite my overwhelming strength, I was not able to take my sword back from it's iron grip. But as soon as the thought occurred to me, aloud and painful shriek resounded and I felt remorse over the fact that the Holler was still alive.

'Had Big bro failed in his task as well?' I thought but then noticed the slightly distracted look in the abnormals' faces and took this chance to get back my sword.

'This is my only chance.' I thought as the painful shriek of the Holler confused and distracted the abnormals for a few moments.

A few precious moments which were enough for me to swing my sword once again.

PADAKKK!!!

A subdued sound resounded in the battlefield as the 4th tier abnormal's head was finally split in half.

But I had no time to rejoice as the attack had turned back the attention of the 3rd tier abnormals back to me once again and I felt a cold sweat form on the back of my neck as I muttered 'Agility Booster Activate' and ran between their legs.

'This mission had gone wrong in some ways. But if I'm able to get away safely out of here, then I'll consider it a success.' With that thought, I came out of the encirclement and made a run for it, with a bunch of 3rd tier abnormals in pursuit behind me.
