It's official.

Camouflage Cloak rocks.

As far as I was concerned, it was one of the most overpowered assist equipment I've ever seen.

Or so I thought as I cut through the mutant beasts lazing around in the town.

But after the initial excitement wore off, I realized that it was not an OP equipment.

An average 1st tier mutant beast core is worth 30-60 white coins.

If I use an equipment which is worth 4,800 white coins and I'm still not able to kill a 1st and 2nd tier mutant beast easily then I should really die in shame.

I breezed through almost all of the mutant beast in the town.

The only ones who survived my stealth attack were the ones were sitting around the 3rd tier mutant beast in a group.

I stood behind a ruined building and looked at the group with apathetic eyes.

I was sure that if I use my stealth to the max then I'll be able to sneak up behind the 3rd tier mutant beast and kill it.

I also knew that if I use my 'Agility Booster' skill then I'll be able to kill that group easily.

But I did not want to do it.

I have not had a fulfilling fight ever since I bought the Musketeer Parrying Dagger.

I had no idea when I turned into a battle junkie, but I knew that I wanted a good fight.

Sure I had killed numerous 2nd tier and a few weak 3rd tier mutant beasts today but none of them were good enough for me.

None of them had excited me.

None of them had made me feel the slightest bit of fear or made me feel the adrenaline rush I felt when I fought against the Holler.

I wanted that feeling.

And the ticket was right in front of me.

'Appraise' I thought and a few words came in front of me.

'Mutant beast- 3rd tier'

That's right. Ever since the Appraisal Skill reached 2nd tier last night, I was able to see the level of anyone else.

It was still not of much use to me since I can guess the level of the enemy by a single look at it's size and height. But still. I hope it's much more useful later on.

A cruel smile formed in my face as I gave the signal for me team to attack.

The team can deal with the 8 1st and 2nd tier abnormals.

But I'll be the one who'll savour the main dish.

Soon enough, the team members came into view and all the mutant beasts stood up at once except for the 3rd tier beast who lazily watched the whole scene in front of itself with one eye.

A disorganized melee started in the village and once it became clear that the five subordinates would be able to defeat the 8 mutant beasts, the 3rd tier mutant beast stood up and let out a loud roar and start moving up in their direction.

But before it could move any further, I removed my Camouflage Cloak and kept it inside the spatial ring.

The 3rd tier beast hesitated when it saw me appear out of thin air and became wary of my presence.

Seeing it's wary expression, I smiled and made the first move.

I ran up to it and just as it sensed danger and used it's large tusks to attack me, I sidestepped and slashed at it's body.

A deep gash appeared in it's stomach but I was not able to cut any deeper because of the low speed.

Without the Agility booster, my speed was slow and I realized that I would not be able to defeat it with one strike since it's hide was tough and it's bones tougher.

A fierce battle ensued from that point on as it tried to attack me with it's tusk, kick with it's hind legs or trample me with it's forelegs.

But I had high Perception so I was able to read all of it's attacks and even though I was not as fast as it was, I was able to dodge every attack by a small margin.

In the last fight with the Holler, I had realized that in a fight like this, you can't retreat back hastily. If you want to dodge the attacks, then you must move forward or sideways. If you moved back then you'll lose the incentive and be open to attacks.

I used what I learned from that fight and didn't gave the mutant boar any incentive to gain much speed.

After two minutes, I was slightly winded while the mutant boar was covered in wounds.

If it was a normal boar then it would already have died from the pain or blood loss. But it was anything but a normal beast.

Unable to bear the pain and the anger at not being able to land as single blow at me, it went against it's instincts and lunged at me crazily.

'An opening.' I thought and side stepped and just as it passed through me, I swung my sword to the best of my capabilities.

We both passed each other and then turned to face each other.

Just that this time, it was limping on it's right foreleg as a deep wound could be seen in it's left foreleg. In fact the cut was so deep that if there was more strength in the swing then it would have lost it's leg entirely.

'The fight has ended.' I knew.

If I made some mistake then it could still kill me but if I remain careful then there was no way in hell that it would have any chance to touch me ever again.

The mutant boar cried in pain and lunged at me once again. But this time it was far slower and full of openings.

I made use of one of such openings and gave a similarly deep wound to it's right foreleg.

We passed it each other and this time instead of stopping, it fell forward on it's front legs and slid down a good few meters before it could stop.

I realized that I won't be able to have any more fun with this mutant boar and despite the fact that I was becoming a battle addict, I was not a sadist.

So when it roared in pain and tried to get up on it's legs once again, I sneaked behind it and stabbed it's head with the dagger.

Despite it being a 4th tier dagger, it took me considerable effort to push it inside it's skull.

After I pushed it deep inside it's skull, I took it out and stabbed it once again for good measure.

The mutant boar spasmed a few times and then it went absolutely still.

I took out the dagger and then wiped both the dagger and the sword with it's fur.

'There's only so much fun you can have on a day.' I thought and looked at the team members and realized that they had already taken care of their opponents and were staring at me in awe.

'What with that look? It's just a 3rd tier mutant boar. And not a very high leveled one either.' I thought and heard Lily snort in my mind.
