Last night, both Neha and Raka went through their second evolution.
I knew there's always a chance that the person going through the evolution might die due to the immense pain so I called Rahul and told him about about Neha before her evolution started.
He wished her luck and said a few things and I gave them their privacy out of respect and chose not to listen. After Neha finished talking with Rahul on the walkie talkie both Neha and Raka laid down and started their evolution.
Their bodies went rigid simultaneously and black fog started to emerge out of their black watches.
I could see the fear in Neha's eyes as the fog enveloped her and clutched her hand even more tightly.
The next few minutes were some of the most strenuous minutes of my life.
But in the end, I was duly rewarded as both Neha and Raka survived the evolution.
Raka evolved into an 'Enhanced Human I', just like myself but Neha evolved into something else entirely.
"Mente Reina?" I asked in puzzlement and happiness.
I did not know what that meant but it was a unique name so I felt that it must be something special.
'Mente means Mind in italian. And Reina means Queen in spanish.' Lily informed and my grin turned wider.
The title had a 'Queen' in it and it was rather unique so it must be something really good.
I was still not sure about what exactly the evolution does but it's name gave me a pretty good idea.
Mind Queen.
'It must have something to do with the mind dominance skill she's using and the Holler she keeps on her back all the time.'
I realized you can get weird evolutions when certain conditions are met.
If I had not defeated the Holler by biting it to death in the Battle Simulator, then I would not have gained the 'Fiend' Evolution.
Similarly, I doubt that Neha would have gained this evolution if she was not using the mind dominance skill so extensively.
I grinned as a certain thought emerged in my mind.
'If Neha is able to use the technique on more than one Abnormal, then that would be really awesome.'
'We could hunt down more of those Hollers and create an army of our own.'

"So did you are saying that you completed the connection with him in the last 12 hours even though earlier you needed more than 48 more hours to do so?" I asked and Neha nodded in return.
"Ever since my evolution, the mind dominance skill has started working 4 times faster and the amount of mana it's leeching off of me has similarly decreased by 4 times."
"Hmm… Does that mean that a 2nd tier Holler which would have taken you 200 hours to connect with will only take 50 hours?"
"Yep."
"That's… a brilliant news." I said and ruffled her hair much to her chagrin.
"So. Can you control it completely now?" I asked once again just to be sure and she rolled her eyes after which she nodded her head once again.
"Completely." She said and I looked at the Holler tied to her back once again.
"How long do you think it'll take him to regrow it's limbs?" I asked. "Because right now, it's not really being much help to us."
Neha shrugged in response "This is my first time doing it as well so I really have no idea. Big bro said that it'll regenerate it's limbs at a very fast rate but I have no idea how fast 'very fast' actually is."
"I see." I said and smiled but my smile suddenly turned into a grin as I saw a small horde of mutant beasts in the distance.
"It seems like we'll know soon enough." I said and all three of us jumped into a stance eagerly.
Raka was excited because he wanted to check his new strength after the evolution.
Neha was excited because after we fed the mutant meat to the Holler, it'll regrow it's limbs and she'll have her first functional servant/guard/slave/whatever.
I was excited because I wanted to test my new gear and because I was getting addicted to this life.
This life of blood and death.

The fight was not much of a fight since this group consisted solely of mutant raccoons the size of large dogs.
There were no 3rd tier beast in this small horde so I had to make do with low quality food for breakfast and it would not really increase my stats but I was content for now.
It was only morning after all. We had time.
Things started to get interesting when Neha started feeding the meat to the Holler.
At first it was rather weak and malnourished and had trouble taking even the smallest of bites.
But after a while, it started eating faster and faster and after ten minutes, it had eaten ten whole mutant raccoons and went into some kind of slumber.
After that, some kind of smoke started emanating out it's stumps and slowly but surely, it's limbs started to grow back.
We waited for ten minutes but in that time it had only grown about two inches of it's limbs so we decided to continue on our way.
Just that this time, the Holler was much too heavy for Neha to carry and thus, I took it from her and carried it on my back.
Since it she had gained proper dominance over it's mind, she could stay at a distance from it and it'll still be loyal to her.
Quite a useful skill. This Mind Dominance.
As we started to continue on our way, we received a call from Jasvinder which instantly sent me on an alert.
Sure we had stayed in contact with Rahul but the two scouting teams had never contacted each other during our missions.
The only time I did contact them was when Neha was wounded and I needed their help.
Thus, the fact they had called me out of the blue gave me a foreboding feeling.
I could only hope that they're not in some kind of danger as I flipped the switch of the walkie talkie.
"Ashok speaking here. How can I help you Jasvinder?" I asked.
"It's me Ashok." A girly voice came from the other side which I instantly recognized as Upma's.
"Is something wrong Upma. Where is Jasvinder?" I asked.
"Yeah. About that. We found something while we were scouting a small town close to our path. The town is heavily defended with high walls and actually has a lot people living in there."
"Jasvinder had gone ahead to scout that area and after I told Rahul about this he told me to give come to our location as back up in case something goes wrong."
"I see." I said and quickly noted down their location in the map. It was not that far away from our current location and would take at most half an hour for us to reach there.
"Wait for us." I said and kept the walkie talkie back in my belt and turned to look at Neha and Raka who were looking at me curiously.
"Change of plans." I said with a grin and soon enough, we were on our way to back up Jasvinder's team.
