"This sword is for you," Lu Wan handed the short sword to Ye Jiao when they were inside the carriage.

"Ah, Young Master?"

Lu Wan sighed. "If it's necessary, you can fight using this sword. But refrain from using Eon Energy because it's going to be suspicious."

"I understand," Ye Jiao nodded her head. Even she knew how dangerous it would be if they found out that someone as young as herself had become Eon Energy Master. "By the way, the swords are not that bad, right?"

"Not bad?" Lu Wan rubbed his forehead. "If it's not because of the competition, I'm definitely not going to keep this sword around. It's too expensive with its quality too low!"

"Well, it's already the best in this kingdom. Even Wei Cheng's sword is at this quality, right?"

"Probably slightly higher since he's from a military family," Lu Wan shrugged. It was easy for Wei Shang to provide his family with the finest weapon they could gather. "Well, I'm not too fond of showing off, so this should be enough."

"Alright, since the weapon is ready, how about if we search for armor next, Young Master?"

"Again?"

"Don't tell me that you have no plan on buying armor?"

Lu Wan scratched his cheek. "If I have the money, I'll prefer to save them until it's enough to buy herbs. I don't really need armor."

"We're going to buy armor."

"Hey, hey, I'm the young master here."

"You need it."

One way or another, Ye Jiao managed to drag Lu Wan to buy armor for himself. This time, Lu Wan only brought one as the quality was even lower compared to the weapon he brought earlier.

When the training day came, the students were told not to come to the classroom but head directly to outside the city. There was a plain not far from the West Gate where the students gathered.

"They're all ridiculous," Lu Wan commented when he saw the getup of the students. Many of them wore heavy armor as if they were ready to march in war. For children around their age, these types of armor would only hinder their movements.

After all, they didn't have that strong body with their muscles still in development.

"I think you're the only one who will say that," Ye Jiao sighed.

Right now, Lu Wan only wore light armor beneath his dark green robe. Considering that this should be their 'first time' living in the forest, his getup seemed so laidback. As for his sword, it rested nicely in his storage bracelet.

Lu Wan rolled his eyes. "Why don't you say that to yourself?"

Ye Jiao also wore a light green robe. She tied the sword that Lu Wan gave to her on her hips. As it was still within its sheath, there was no need for her to worry that other people can recognize the worth of the sword.

"I'm more normal."

"There's no other 9 years old girl in this place."

"I'm not a participant too, just an attendant of a lousy young master."

"What did you say?"

The two of them argued in low voices while more students came to gather on the field. It didn't take long for them to spot Mu Xin coming to their direction. She was wearing light armor while her weapon was inside her storage bracelet.

"Good day, Lu Wan," Mu Xin greeted.

Lu Wan nodded his head. He pointed to the front, where the teachers were setting up a small stage. "Relay to me their instruction. I'm going to sleep."

"Eh?"

Mu Xin was confused but Lu Wan didn't care. He sat down on the ground and leaned to the wall, sleeping peacefully. On the side, Ye Jiao really wanted to bury her face on the ground. Her senior brother didn't take enough rest the day before because he was busy investigating a new recipe. As a result, he decided to take a short nap here.

"Good morning everyone," before Mu Xin could say anything, the teachers have finished setting up the small stage and stood there. Using his Eon Energy as amplifier, he made his sound reach to every place around him.

"Today is the day for students to depart into the forest to train. For the first day, you all stay in the camp and try to search for edible foods around the area. Only after you present them to the teacher would we allow you to get inside the forest and stay there for the next month.

During this month, you'll face beast rank 1. There are a lot of different beasts, so you have to make sure that you recognize them because different beasts have different weaknesses. We will monitor your movement, so don't go over 5 km away from the capital city."

5 Km?

Ye Jiao wondered whether they would be able to know the distance when they were inside the forest. 5 km was not too far or too short since this was mostly the students' first time entering the forest. The hardest thing would be to know whether they had bypassed the mark or not.

"You may hunt as many as possible and gather their cores. When you come out, you shall present the cores to us and we'll count it. The one with the highest number of cores will be given rewards. There are also prizes for second place and third place, but we're not going to reveal it too early.

You also can form group with any students as many as you want. There's no restriction of the party's number but remember that in the real hunt, you can only team up to five people the most. These five people would also include yourself."

"Five team party is a pretty good idea," Mu Xin said in a low tone.

"Why is that?"

"A party requires defender, attacker, pillar, support, and also scout. These are usually the compositions for a party," Mu Xin replied. "Of course, it's not necessary since there are various types of party too and one person may a take double role at once."

"I see," Ye Jiao didn't think that there was a way to form a party too. It seemed that a real party should be interesting.

"Well, I doubt the children can think this far if they're not educated," Mu Xin pointed to the batch of the children. "This is usually taught in the military family and school, but if you remember the condition of the classroom, I doubt anyone remembers it."

"Yeah, you're right, Xin Jie. This is why this is practice, right?" Ye Jiao grinned. "If it's impossible to push it into their mind, they just have to pound it with actions."

Mu Xin was stunned then she nodded. "You're right."

Afterwards, the teacher still talked a bit about the rules, but the students barely listened as they were busy forming their party.
