"Just run!" Qi Huan yelled to Ye Jiao when he saw the girl struggled. He couldn't do anything to help because he has Lu Wan on his back.

"I'm coming!"

The two of them dashed to the cave's direction as the beasts were tailing before them. Their body was tired because of their excessive moment, but they didn't care. Right now, their only choice for survival was the cave in front of them.

Swish!

Qi Huan dodged the attack from behind him as he ran to the cave. It didn't take long for him to reach the cave and headed straight inside. His eyes looked around carefully and only after he noticed that there was nothing around them that he placed Lu Wan on the ground. He took out a pill and shoved it to the boy.

"Ate this and focus on recovering your Eon Energy."

"What are you-?"

"Your junior sister is still in dire condition," Qi Huan didn't explain any further as he dashed to the cave's door. From there, he saw Ye Jiao rolled on the ground to evade a tiger behind her. Summoning his sword, he quickly made his way to the young girl's place and slashed the beasts behind.

Slash!

"Thank you, Senior Brother Qi."

"Quickly enter the cave."

"Yes!" Ye Jiao pushed her body once more and entered the cave. As soon as she saw Lu Wan and the empty cave, strength left her body and she plopped to the ground.

Thud!

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," Ye Jiao smiled bitterly. She took out a medicine and quickly spread it on her angle, which has grown in size due to her forcing it just now. The swelling would take some time to heal, and she wouldn't be able to move so much with it screaming at her every second.

"We still have to guard the door," Qi Huan had returned. His clothes were wet because of blood and sweat, but he looked relieved. At the very least, the three of them were still alive after facing that beast horde.

"Sorry, but can you do that first?"

"I doubt I can move anytime soon," Lu Wan also replied with a bitter smile.

Qi Huan nodded. "It's fine, just focus on recovering your Eon Energy. I'll stay here and chop down any beast who dare to come inside."

"Thank you, Senior Brother Qi."

"Thanks."

Ye Jiao and Lu Wan focused on recovering their Eon Energy as they forced the Eon Energy in their surroundings to enter their core. It was painful to do it so quickly, but they didn't really have any other choice.

It was this time Lu Wan noticed that his core seemed to grow in size. The amount of Eon Energy he could absorb also increased.

Thanks to the medicine that Qi Huan gave him, his organ no longer acted up. Now, he could clearly sense that his body has grown much stronger than before. The control of Eon Energy, which was extremely difficult before seemed to be nothing much in front of him now.

Slash!

The two of them spent the next couple of minutes focusing on their recovery. Lu Wan opened his eyes and saw Qi Huan was standing with numerous beast's corpse in front of him. The young man's eyes were filled with bloodlust as he eyed the beasts that tried to come inside.

"Senior Brother Qi, let's change places."

"What are you talking about? You've internal bleeding, so you-."

"I have recovered," Lu Wan smirked. "Your medicine works extremely fast."

"It shouldn't be this fast," Qi Huan frowned. His eyes lit up as a conjecture was formed inside his mind. "Did you reach rank 2?"

"I think so," Lu Wan was not totally sure because he was not in the top form, but he could clearly feel the change in his body.

"That's great!"

Lu Wan nodded his head. Normally, when Eon Energy Master rank 1 blocked an attack from rank 2 beast, they would surely be pushed back and faced between life and death. When Wei Cheng got hit before, the boy was fed with a large amount of medicine to recover or he wouldn't be able to stand up anymore. He guessed that because he had a breakthrough, his body managed to recover much faster.

With the help of the medicine, he had recovered quite well to be able to fight again.

"Then, I'll leave it…"

"What is it?" Lu Wan turned his body around when he saw QI Huan froze. Seeing the large number of bats in front of them, he was also stunned. The bats they saw were not at normal size. They were all around the size of a five years old child.

Qi Huan looked to the back once more. This time, a monkey had entered the cave, looking around in curiosity.

"I think we'll have to divide our work."

"Can you still fight?"

"Even if we can't fight, we have to fight," Ye Jiao opened her eyes. She looked at the direction of the bats with a grave expression. "We're invading their territory, so we should fight them if we want to stay here."

Looking outside the cave, there was no sign of the beast horde would stop anytime soon. The three of them knew that if they were outside, they might get trampled until they were dead without any chance to live.

Here, they still have a chance.

A slim chance.

Ye Jiao stood up and prepared her dagger on her arm. Her eyes were filled with determination. "There's no turning back anymore."

"Then, you two should fight against the bats."

Qi Huan dashed to the monkey with his sword ready. His body was screaming at him because of his excessive movement, but he didn't care in the slightest as he chased after the monkey.

Forcing his body in position, he swung his sword and killed the monkey.

At the same time, Ye Jiao also moved to stand at the center. The bats came swarming to her direction and she focused completely to defend herself.

"Senior Brother Qi, please take care of your back!"

"Don't worry!" Qi Huan turned around and swung his sword. A bat was slashed into two in that instant.

Lu Wan was standing at the very front with his chain blade kept on attacking relentlessly. Ye Jiao stood in the middle, defending herself against the bats that came to her while at the front Qi Huan defended against the beasts that came from outside and the bats around him.

They were exhausted, but they couldn't stop.

No matter how painful it was, they had to move. As long as they still could more, they would do it.

Because in order to live, they had to fight.
