Aside from the order, their mother hated each other, so their children also started to bare their fangs.

"Is that so?" Ye Jiao didn't think of Wei Mi's words seriously. She knew this girl's situation because she was the one who pushed her to the edge and destroyed the girl's future. Even if Wei Mi cursed her continuously, she would pay no heed.

Comparing her to her brother, who matured because of his new condition, she was just a spoiled rotten brat.

She didn't even understand what her action would do to her.

Right now, Ye Jiao was the one whom they regarded as a genius while Wei Mi was nothing in front of their eyes. When Wei Mi started to berate her, they could only see her as a petty little girl, who couldn't see things clearly. Comparing between a young genius and a crippled girl, who had a more significant impression?

"Mi'er, don't go overboard," Wei Cheng warned.

"What?" Wei Mi glared at her brother. "She's just a trash that shouldn't have been here in the first place. She should have just died a long time ago!"

"Wei Mi," Wei Yin suddenly spoke up. "She's Eon Energy Master Rank 3, someone whom you have to respect."

"Don't you…"

"Stop talking if you don't want me to lock you in the house, Mi'er," Wei Cheng's tone turned serious. They were in public, and it wouldn't do them any good to just act out of their feelings. No matter how much they hated Ye Jiao, they would never be able to show it upfront in this place.

Right now, she has a high place in everyone's mind because of her shocking talent.

A talent that only a small number of people had.

Wei Cheng stepped forward and cupped his hands. He had lost his pride numerous times in front of Chen Zi Quan, adding one more wouldn't harm him. Besides, he knew that he was no longer someone who could give a threat to Ye Jiao.

"Miss Ye, I apologize for my sister's behavior. We must have deeply offended you."

Ye Jiao chuckled. "Who would care for a little kid's words? No worry, Wei Cheng, I don't feel offended."

Little kid might not be a suitable term for Wei Mi from Ye Jiao. The two of them were actually of the same age or Wei Mi even a few weeks older. However, no one tried to nitpick the way Ye Jiao called her. They had seen how Wei Mi behaved like a kid, so no one felt surprised when they heard that.

The only one who felt offended was Wei Mi. She felt terribly annoyed by Ye Jiao because of what she said.

'Little girl? Who's the little girl?'

Looking at Wei Cheng's expression, Ye Jiao knew that he must be talking about the Blood Berserk Enhancement. It was a technique that he shouldn't have known because of the origin, so Ye Jiao understood that Wei Cheng must have wanted to keep it a secret. Even though she didn't know why Wei Cheng wanted to ask for their help, she knew it didn't have any relation with her.

"As long as you don't give me trouble, I'm not going to speak about anything," Ye Jiao gave her words.

Wei Cheng's eyes flashed with relief. He could see that she understood what he was talking about and smiled slightly.

"Many thanks for your generosity, Miss Ye."

"It's nothing much. Now, please excuse me."

As Ye Jiao turned around, Wei Mi was about to yell again when a hand held her back. She was surprised and looked to the side, where Wei Xie had held her back.

"What are you-?"

"Miss, it's not good to offend her now," Wei Xie replied with a smile.

Wei Mi's face turned ashen. She wanted to speak out again, but she quickly closed it down because she didn't want to make things worse. Her brother has been glaring at her from the corner of his eyes.

"Your Highness, I'm sorry about that."

"It's fine," Chen Zi Quan stayed silent all this time and only spoke out now. He glanced sideways to Wei Mi. "Do not bring her around anymore."

"Yes, Your Highness."

Wei Cheng could guess that Chen Zi Quan must have a poor impression of his little sister. He sighed internally, for he knew that she was indeed too spoiled. If only she learned how to curb herself better, this would not happen.

"Wei Yin, please bring Wei Mi back first."

"Yes."

As they walked away, Wei Cheng followed after Chen Zi Quan. He noticed the prince seemed to have a somber expression.

"Have I crossed paths with Ye Jiao in the past?"

"No, you haven't, Your Highness."

"That's good," Chen Zi Quan replied calmly. From what he had seen from Ye Jiao, he could guess that she would only bring him trouble. Right now, she would only rise and rise. Even if she experienced a bit of fall, it wouldn't change the fact that she had S talent, a talent many people envied.

Recalling the letter his father sent to him, his eyes flashed with ruthlessness. Someday, he would prove to the world that he was the real genius.

As they walked away, Ye Jiao was watching from a distance carefully. She had said that she would not bother with them anymore, but they were the ones coming at her with not so good intentions. Aside from Wei Mi, who was so spoiled, the others were hard to guess. They would not be easy to deal with if they decided to cross paths with her.

'If they wish to come, I'm not going to be afraid.'

Aside from that, she had to be grateful for Wei Liao to remind her to be careful around Wei Xie. That one short greeting had told her a lot of things. One thing she could sense clearly from Wei Xie was the deep seated pride inside her aura. She might be acting as a servant on the outside, but she has her own dignity as a martial artist.

It was the kind of pride that could only come from a true genius.

Even though Wei Xie hasn't formed her core, that young girl has already started to exude her true worth. Talent would inevitably affect them a lot, but it was not everything. Without hard work, even if they have the most exceptional talent in the entire world, it would be worth nothing.

Ye Jiao thought about this as she entered her room in the inn again. She quickly cleaned up and ate her fill before going to bed.

'Things are not going to be as peaceful as it is on the surface.'

Ye Jiao woke up early the next morning and headed towards the tall building. There were already numerous people waiting outside of the building, looking at the time that continued to tick down. This was the gathering spot, where they have to gather together before the start of the examination.

It didn't take long for her to see Lu Wan, who was drenched in sweat because he practically ran to this place.

"Are you alright?" Ye Jiao asked.

Lu Wan was stunned, but he smiled wryly. "Yeah, I just ran."

The time still showed that there were around 10 minutes or so left, so he was not late. Relief washed over him at that realization.

"Where have you been to make you run that much?"

"I was exchanging some golds with herbs. They're all so expensive that I have to haggle a lot," Lu Wan complained. There were many weird herbs that he had never seen before, so he used this chance to get his hands on them all. They were all so precious to him.

"…"

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Nothing," Ye Jiao should have expected this from her senior brother. He loved herbs and poison too much that it was a wonder whether he used this chance to practice or not. He must have used up all of his time to gather herbs and experimented on them.

As the two of them talked, Qi Huan also arrived by the scene. This time, the guard all stopped before they could get close because only those who had the token could enter. They observed carefully from outside as Qi Huan walked inside.

"It must be tiring to be watched all the time."

"He has gotten used to it," Lu Wan shrugged, not caring in the slightest. "I heard that he has been doing nothing but staying in his place, training like crazy. This city is so big, but why is he not doing anything?"

"I feel that you should be saying those words to yourself."

"What? I'm doing my best to run around and gather precious herbs! You don't know how much I have spent over the past few days just to get them all," Lu Wan's face contorted as he recalled the price of those precious ones. Some rarer herbs were hard to find, so he had to fork out a lot of money.

"I'll be going. You shouldn't stay too close to me."

"Ah, right."
