Can't this girl understand it?

Unfortunately, Wei Mi has been spoiled rotten by her brother and father that she was unable to see the big picture anymore. She always wished to get back at Ye Jiao because of what she had done to her family. However, it didn't seem that things were going according to her wishes.

Even if she mocked Ye Jiao openly, others would only have a bad view of her as a jealous girl. After all, Ye Jiao's talent was still worthy of envy.

"F-father?" Wei Mi's eyes watered as she looked at her father with grief. How come he hit her? He had never hit her before.

"Cool down your head." Wei Shang waved his hand.

B-but." Wei Mi could feel a hand pulled her from the back. At this time, Wei Xie chose to step in because she knew that Wei Mi wouldn't be able to think clearly. The situation would only get worse if this girl continued to talk.

"Miss, let's go back," Wei Xie said in a soothing tone.

Several people looked at the young girl. Even though Wei Xie was dressed in plain clothes, it was clear that she was also the man's daughter and this girl's sister. Her eyes were shining in intelligence as she tried to soothe her sister. Right now, they were all thinking that this family must be filled with idiots.

That young girl was clearly much more intelligent and sensible, but the one they put on the front was the stupid one.

"B-but."

"There's an interesting place that I'm sure you wish to see," Wei Xie persuaded as she smiled brightly. Her smile was so charming that even with her plain dress, a lot of people were looking at her with affection.

"F-fine," Wei Mi humped and turned around.

Wei Xie looked in Ye Jiao's direction for a split second. There was a flash of ruthlessness flashed in the young girl's eyes for a split second before she turned and guided Wei Mi away.

Ye Jiao's eyes also narrowed slightly. She could clearly sense that Wei Xie was no longer an ordinary person. That girl had formed her core!

From what she knew, Wei Xie should be similar to Wei Liao. The two of them only have green talent, which meant that the fastest they could form their core would be when they were 12 years old. If they were unlucky, it would be 13 years old. However, Wei Xie was clearly younger than her, yet she had formed her core.

'Wei Xie must have innate talent, but why is she looking at me with hatred? Did I do something to her?'

After waiting a few more minutes, Qin Zheng opened his mouth. "The next examination will start tomorrow, and this time, it'll also determine your ranking. For today, you may have a break and use any of the facilities. As long as you're using the correct one, you can use it for free by showing your token."

Using the correct one?

They were looking at Qin Zheng with a confused expression, but Qin Zheng was too lazy to elaborate on his words. For him, it was already clear that the correct one would refer to the training area. After all, they came here because they wished to train and not some other things.

"I guess I'll just head out and train." Han Fu grinned. "I'm curious about this illusive thing too, so I want to do some research."

Gao Yun nodded. "I need to do research too."

"Then I wish you two good luck." Ye Jiao smiled kindly.

"Where do you plan to train, Ye Jiao? You can train with us if you want since you can pick any specialization that you want," Han Fu chose to just look at it from the bright side. While they needed to follow their talent, Ye Jiao could pick anything that she wanted to. In a way, that was an advantage, right?

Ye Jiao shook her head. She was sure that her talent lied in the element, but she couldn't be sure about it. "I'm going to the elemental area."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Ok, I won't stop you," Han Fu shrugged. "See you tomorrow."

As the two of them walked away, Qi Huan patted Ye Jiao's shoulder and flashed a smile. Lu Wan followed suit, but they didn't show that they were close with her. Ye Jiao understood that they wished to give her encouragement, so she smiled back in response.

When most of them had entered the city, Qin Zheng moved from his place and walked to Ye Jiao lazily.

"You seem calm."

"Do I have to cry?" Ye Jiao rolled her eyes.

"No." Qin Zheng looked at the young girl with his deep gaze. "However, I can tell you one thing. I don't believe in the result."

I don't believe in the result.

Even though Ye Jiao herself also had her own thoughts regarding the result, she was surprised to feel the sudden sense of comfort when she heard another person say it directly to her. She could sense her Eon Energy, so she knew that there must be something suitable for her.

But he… he was just someone whom she met for a short period of time, and yet, he was also the one who told her that he believed in her.

It felt weird.

Ye Jiao looked back at Qin Zheng, her eyebrows arched as if she didn't believe him. "Do you really think that?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Because it didn't make sense," Qin Zheng replied plainly. "Besides, you don't seem like you have given up on trying to find your path, so I guess that you should have known that there's something special within your body."

Ye Jiao didn't reply immediately. Having someone trusted her somehow felt pleasant. She was not close to him at all, but he was the one who could see through her. Even those who always stayed with her never managed to see through her own feelings and thoughts so clearly like him.

"You're so sharp, Qin Zheng."

"Call me senior if you don't want other people to start guessing…"

"You already set up an array in this place, so I'm sure that you know that no one will be able to hear our conversation," Ye Jiao giggled. She had seen the item in Qin Zheng's sleeve was emitting a faint layer of Eon Energy around them. It must be a device that could block their voice from getting out.

"I have to say that you're sharp too."

"Thank you for your compliment."

"Since you believe that you have something special, I'm sure that you already have your own suppositions about what kind of talent you have," Qin Zheng beckoned for them to walk into the city. The two of them started walking as he continued, "Do you want to share?"

"I don't think I would want to share them with someone like you."

"What's wrong with me?"

"Everything." Ye Jiao looked at Qin Zheng's body up and down. He was always so annoying, yet he still had the innocent expression on his face as if he didn't do anything wrong. How many people have already been angered by Qin Zheng in the examination alone? Ye Jiao couldn't count them all anymore.

Qin Zheng arched his eyebrows. "I'm hurt that you say it like that."

"That's good."

"How heartless." Qin Zheng chuckled. "So, are you not going to tell me what your suppositions for your talent is?"

"You'll see."

The two of them continued to walk on the street as Ye Jiao looked at the signboard, searching for the correct one. It took them a few minutes before she managed to find the one she was searching for. All along, Qin Zheng just stayed quiet and accompanied the young girl.

"Fire element?" Qin Zheng arched his eyebrows. "So you're suspecting your talent is in this field?"

"Not fire," Ye Jiao said as she got inside. She showed her token, which granted her free access. As for Qin Zheng, it was safe to say that they didn't even need him to show his identity card because they have long known that he was the young man who was already an Elite Disciple.

Qin Zheng thought to himself about the fire element before he came to a realization. He looked over to the young girl beside him.

"Have you already studied the intermediate element path?"

Intermediate elements were elements that they could only learn after the basics. Most of them would not even bother taking a look at them because they would need to study from the very beginning again when they reached rank 5. It was too much of a hassle. Besides, without talent, they would need too much time.

Not everyone has the patience to learn a new element again.

Ye Jiao shook her head. "I haven't learned them, but I can guess based on my observation during the examination."

Each basic element would unlock the path to a specific intermediate element. She was not familiar with them because the Four Kingdoms didn't teach them at all. After all, rank 4 was basically the highest in that place.

"Right, you have great observation skills." Qin Zheng watched as the girl stepped into the small land provided and sat down. Perspiration was clear on the girl's face, yet she acted as if she couldn't sense anything and just sat down to practice.

Watching the young girl, Qin Zheng smiled slightly. If she truly has this element, he knew that she would be chased by a lot of people. It was truly a rare element that one could only hope to find every dozen years. But of course, she needed a few more years to truly realize her worth because only the rank 5 could start learning intermediate elements.

After a while, Qin Zheng turned around and left.

On the other side of the room, Cao Ren was sitting while looking at the entrance. He was clearly surprised when he saw Ye Jiao come inside. Moreover, she came walking with Qin Zheng, an Elite Disciple.

However, he didn't try to probe anything as he focused his attention on his training. He didn't have innate talent, so he still could feel the scorching heat hurting him.
