“Lin Feng, we answered the same way,” said Chu Chun Qiu, grinning at him. A moment before, he was nervous because the man had asked him the exact same question. Whenever the mysterious man asked something, it wasn’t just like that, there was always a purpose.
Anything could have happened if they had given an unsatisfactory answer, but they hadn’t.
“Master, why did you ask us that?” asked Lin Feng. He hated it when people always had ulterior motives. It gave him the feeling of being in permanent danger.
The mysterious man glanced at Lin Feng and Chu Chun Qiu, and then shook his head silently, “Very simple. I just wanted to see if you had a secret agreement, and also what you felt deep in your heart.
“The Ancient Demon King said that you had been enemies since the Continent of the Nine Clouds, but I hadn’t thought you knew each other so well. You know each other so well, so why be enemies? It’s time for you to broaden your horizons. Who cares about who the ultimate ruler of the Continent of the Nine Clouds is? Don’t you feel like it’s an old and childish conflict?

The mysterious man nodded, “Indeed. You guessed right. They’re leaders of ancient sects and clans which have been destroyed, the Tu Clan and the Lin Clan.
“Of course, Kuang Zhan, whom you killed, was the leader of the Kuang Clan. Unfortunately, you killed him in your spirit world. It’s a bit sad,” said the mysterious man, sighing sadly. But at the same time, he looked at Lin Feng with respect for being so aggressive and bold.
“Their clans and sects were destroyed, how come they…?” asked Chu Chun Qiu. Why were they still alive?
