Kang Jun didn't say anything. He just ignored them and hoped that they would go away on their own.

Realizing what he wanted, Feng Yue, once more, pulled on Feng Yan's arm, trying to bring her back to their friends but Feng Yan was rooted to the space in front of Kang Jun's table.

Feng Yan stared piercingly into Lu AnLing.

In the woman's mind, she threw only insults Lu AnLing's way but since anyone with eyes could see the way that Kang Jun looked at Lu AnLing, Feng Yan didn't dare say anything that could get her in trouble.

After watching them for a while, Feng Yan decided to follow her sister back to the table. But even if she was at her own table, her eyes and her mind lingered on the table where Kang Jun and Lu AnLing sat.

The more Feng Yan watched the more unhappy she became. Kang Jun was a kind man. Even if others didn't know or see it, she did. The man never treated anyone badly, in fact, he treated everyone the same unless there was a reason he should treat them otherwise.

Back when Feng Yue was engaged to the man, Kang Jun had never wronged her or her sister. Yes, the man was still cold the majority of the time but to Feng Yan, this was just the man's personality; nothing to be offended by. She knew this and this was why she believed she had a chance with the man.

Though, seeing how Kang Jun treated Lu AnLing with much more care and warmth, annoyed and hurt Feng Yan.

Was Kang Jun in love with the girl? Or did his parents tell him to show more emotion on his blind dates?

Feng Yan preferred to believe the later.

When Feng Yan finally saw Kang Jun check his phone and then excuse himself. She quickly walked over to Lu AnLing, before her sister could stop her.

Seeing this, Feng Yue quickly followed the woman. She knew her younger sister and she knew the trouble the girl could cause.

Meanwhile, Feng Yan stopped at the table and glared at Lu AnLing.

The girl was on her phone, she was checking her messages with a sad expression, but Feng Yan didn't care about that.

"Hey, you." Feng Yan said.

Annoyed, Lu AnLing turned to look at Feng Yan in the eyes.

Lu AnLing had seen the way that Feng Yan had been looking at her. If it was to be compared to something, Lu AnLing thought it reminded her of the way Lu Shuya used to look at her when her their grandmother tried to dote upon Lu AnLing, instead of Lu Shuya.

By analyzing Feng Yan's expression, Lu AnLing understood that Feng Yan had somehow claimed dibs on Kang Jun, but in the end, it was too late. Kang Jun was Lu AnLing's husband and she didn't plan on giving him to anyone.

Giving the woman a cold and indifferent gaze, Lu AnLing said, "What?"

Feng Yan was annoyed by the way Lu AnLing spoke to her but she bit her tongue instead of exploding. "What family are you from? Are you a Tang?"

Feng Yan knew that her only real opponent in being the bride of Kang Jun was one of the granddaughters of Elder Tang but Feng Yan wasn't someone who was well informed. She didn't know how many granddaughters Elder Tang had, or how they looked like.

Lu AnLing heard the woman's question loud and clear but she didn't dare answer.

Not hearing an answer, Feng Yan decided to keep bombarding her with questions.

Feng Yan: "How old are you? What's your occupation?"

Lu AnLing didn't want to reveal her name in any way, but revealing her age and job wasn't a big deal so she said. "I'm 26. I have two occupations; I'm a freelance translator and a singer."

Lu AnLing didn't even look at Feng Yan or Feng Yue, who stood by her sister's side. She just lazily played with her phone, as if she was waiting for a message.

Meanwhile, thinking about Lu AnLing's answer, Feng Yan pursed her lips.

If Feng Yan remembered correctly, Elder Tang had a granddaughter in her 20's...

Feng Yan laughed dryly. "You've got to be kidding me..."

Lu AnLing wasn't sure what Feng Yan was referring to, but she couldn't help but internally shrugged and say, 'not at all.'

Watching the woman, as she stood in place and thought, made Lu AnLing annoyed and uncomfortable. She wished Kang Jun could come back so they could both go home but the man was nowhere to be found.

Suddenly, she saw Feng Yan make the movement to speak, but Lu AnLing was tired of the girls questioning, so Lu AnLing sighed and said, "Does any of this even matter?"

Feng Yan frowned.

"Of course it does, I just want to know who my opponent is." Feng Yan brushed her silky hair off her shoulder. She sized Lu AnLing up and then smiled.

Feng Yan found herself to be prettier than Lu AnLing in all aspects with the exception of Lu AnLing eyes and breast, which even Feng Yan found pretty.

Watching her sister harass Lu AnLing, Feng Yue's face darkened. She looked around to see if Kang Jun was coming. Thankfully he was nowhere to be found, or else, she feared what this spectacle would bring out in the man.

"I'm a business owner and I'm 29 years old." Feng Yan declared proudly before she laid her business card in front of Lu AnLing. "Don't you think you're too young to be chasing after Kang Jun?"

Lu AnLing raised her eyebrows. "Aren't you a little old to be harassing someone 3 years younger than you?"

Feng Yan took Lu AnLing's words as schoolyard taunting so she didn't respond to it. Instead, she stood with her head held high and said,

"Look, no matter who you are, I'm telling you that I will be Kang Jun's bride."

Lu AnLing scoffed at Feng Yan's statement.

Lu AnLing: "You can try to be his girlfriend, his bride or his mistress, for all I care but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't accept you."

Feng Yan frowned. "Oh yeah? What makes you so confident."

Lu AnLing wanted to say, 'because I'm his wife, I won't allow it.' But she knew she couldn't say this.

At least not yet.

Lu AnLing's lack of response brought Feng Yan to sharpen her gaze. "Why aren't you answering."
