Once the door opened and Kang Liang saw the familiar face of Xu Shen beside Kang Jun, the man's face twisted slightly.
"Oh, it's you!" Xu Shen said loudly as soon as he saw Kang Liang.
Hearing this, Kang Jun looked at his brother questioningly and then he looked at Xu Shen and said, "You know him?"
"Well..." Kang Liang started but he was quickly cut off by Xu Shen.
"Me? Not really. I met him yesterday when I was bringing XiXi to the hospital." Xu Shen said, then, when he realized this was too little information to give to Kang Jun, who might be worried for his daughter, Xu Shen said, "Don't worry too much about XiXi thought. She's been fine since taking the antibiotics prescribed to her. She just has an ear infection."
Truly, Kang Jun had been worried about his daughter when he had heard she was taken to the hospital. He kept remembering how when he had first known the fact that he had been a father of twin girls and that Kang Mei Xue had always been by his side, a part of him really wanted to meet Lu Yuxi but then, he had been told that she was dead... this was devastating, and so now, the man truly realized how thankful he was that Lu Yuxi was alive and well. He didn't want anything bad to happen to her.
"Before you leave Yuxi with us, please tell me all her medical conditions including allergies and other conditions, I really want to properly take care of her and make sure she's safe." Kang Jun had only sincerity in his voice and so, Xu Shen's heart filled with extreme happiness.
"I will. I promise! If there is anything you need from me, just ask, and I'll do it!" Xu Shen said with vigour.
Xu Shen really liked Kang Jun. Despite being a man of few words, he could tell that Kang Jun was a good man and this showed the most when he was with the children and Lu AnLing.
Meanwhile, Kang Liang felt ignored but since the subject seemed so important, he didn't dare say anything stupid. Instead, he asked,
"You're taking Lu Yuxi?... so she's your daughter, after all." Kang Liang said calmly, and then he frowned, "Wait... so you had a daughter with Lu AnLing?!?"
The shock was apparent on the man's face. Though, he wasn't completely shocked since he had assumed as much when Lu Yuxi had mentioned it so sincerely.
"Did I not already tell you this?" Kang Jun asked questioningly.
Hearing this, Kang Liang frowned and then he began to shake his head vigorously. "No! I knew you slept with her many years back, but a child?!? I didn't know this. I mean I assumed... when I saw her but, you didn't tell me anything!"
Kang Jun shrugged. "Well, we have two. Mei Xue and Yuxi are twins."
Hearing this, Kang Liang felt a bit light headed but he quickly got over it.
"Anyways, why is Yuxi and Lu Shuya's dad here?" Kang Liang asked.
"The real question is, why are you here?" Kang Jun retorted.
Hearing this, Kang Liang touched his hair lightly and then he looked to the floor. Seeing this mannerism, Kang Jun was reminded of a moment in his childhood when Kang Nianxi had insulted Kang Liang's obsession with a part of a movie where a beautiful woman with straight long brown hair danced.
Kang Nianxi had called the woman beautiful but forgettable but Kang Liang had fought saying that she was the most memorable beauty on the planet. This had escalated into a full-scale brawl. Where, at the end of this, when Kang Nianxi asked why Kang Liang cared so much, he was not able to say his mind out loud.

With this said, Lu Duyi and Xu Shen cocked their heads.
Hearing and seeing this, Lu AnLing looked at Kang Liang and asked, "Is this okay?"
Hearing this, the man shrugged and then he said, "Go ahead."
Looking at her family, Lu AnLing cocked her head slightly and put her hands together as if she was going to drop the biggest verbal bomb and then, she said, "Kang Liang is Liang Ke. That's his stage name and he wears a wig."
Hearing this, Lu Duyi and Xu Shen made a 'that makes sense' face and Lu Xiaoling who had no idea about the entertainment industry shrugged but as for Lu Shuya, her face suddenly paled.
