The infinity project was close to commencing and so, the partners had no choice but to all meet in person but the meeting continued getting delayed. This was all due to the final partner and Kang Jun was beginning to get annoyed.
A part of Kang Jun wanted to scrape the infinity project completely due to the disrespect the final partner was showing. But instead, he called Mo Yichen.
Mo Yichen was the only one of the partners who truly knew who the final partner was. Apparently the man was a very secretive person, who valued his safety above all else and that he would only reveal himself once in a blue moon.
Kang Jun understood valuing safety. After experiencing a childhood full of attempts on his life and then entering a world full of death and torture, Kang Jun had gotten a bit paranoid himself. In fact, this was why he had bough his house far away from most people or things and he had fortified it in a way where it was like a war fort.
But still, business was business and it was unprofessional to make others wait as this man did.
"He has three days." Kang Jun said calmly but underneath that calmness, something else more ravenous lied.
"I'm not sure if that'll work out... The man is a bit special... just wait a bit more, okay?" Mo Yichen said a bit awkwardly. He knew that the final partner was pushing it, but nothing could be done.
"I can't. Some from Kang Corporations are beginning to feel worried about the state of the infinity project. Even some news outlets are already reporting that something is wrong. " Kang Jun said simply as he sent Mo Yichen articles and emails Mr Long had received from some concerned executives and shareholders. "There is no more time."
"Is there no way to get some sort of extension?" Mo Yichen said.
Mo Yichen partially pleaded his younger brother, but Kang Jun wouldn't have it.
Kang Jun: "I don't give special treatment in business. The only way you can get an extension is to get Tang Bingyi to agree with you. Majority rules."
Hearing this, Mo Yichen sighed.
Mo Yichen had already contacted Tang Bingyi and her sentiments matched Kang Jun. the only difference was that she was in more of a bind as she tried to fix internal problems within Tang Corporations.
So, for Tang Bingyi, starting the Infinity Project sooner was integral.
After this, Mo Yichen hung up and contacted the final partner by a call.
"You have no more time...." Mo Yichen said as he sighed and laid back into his chair. He then touched a pen on his desk and said, "You can't keep hiding forever. You'll meet him soon, whether you're ready or not..."
As Mo Yichen contacted the final partner, Kang Jun was massaging his temples as he sighed.
Putting the problems with the infinity project aside, Kang Jun felt completely drained. Neither he, Rong Xin or Mr Long could find any significant movement in the criminal underworld. This only meant that the people who were after Lu AnLing were being very careful or they had no real ties to the underworld and so, for the first time in a long time, Kang Jun found himself a bit disappointed with himself.
When Qiao Lan had come to him, he should have listened to her fully. Found out what she knew and how she knew it before turning her away.
Kang Jun was angry and distrusting, because of this he had acted impulsively. But he quickly realized that that was a mistake. The woman knew exactly who was planning against him but still, her trustworthiness was still to be seen.
Kang Jun was not going to seek Qiao Lan out. He scared her and he could not trust she would be truthful with him, and so, instead, he sought help.
At first, Kang Jun contemplated asking Rong Xin to kidnap and torture the girl but giving Qiao Lan the benefit of the doubt, Kang Jun thought it would be a rude way to acknowledge her kindness of sorts.
So, Kang Jun called in Mr Long.
Once the man was in front of him, Kang Jun said, "Bring Kang Nianxi to me."
It didn't take long for Mr Long to accomplish this task. Though it would have been quicker if Kang Nianxi hadn't been afraid.
When Mr Long had come into contact with him Kang Nianxi's head filled with bad thoughts.
Kang Nianxi wasn't the smartest. And he had done a great many stupid things in his days in order to 'win' the title of the heir but those were irrelevant now. Weren't they? Kang Jun couldn't be planning on getting rid of him for good... could he?

"President Kang, I've brought you your brother. Should I bring in some refreshments?"

Hearing this, Mr Long turned to Kang Nianxi and asked the man the same question.
Kang Nianxi shook his head and said, "I-I'm good..."
As he said this, his voice cracked a bit, which caused Kang Nianxi to curse himself slightly. It was well known that it was best not to show fear in Kang Jun's presence. Since as soon as a person did, Kang Jun was always able to manipulate the situation.
Hearing this, Mr Long wanted to chuckle. He remembered how brainless Kang Nianxi used to act in front of Kang Jun. it seemed that now that Kang Jun was the true heir, Kang Jun's power over him finally reached Kang Nianxi's brain.
"If you'll excuse me then." Mr Long said simply, as he held back his amusement.

Kang Jun: " I need a favour from you."
