Lu AnLing had stayed at home for a long time and so she began to get bored. She loved her family, and enjoyed being with them, but seeing the walls of the same place day in and day out drained her like no tomorrow.
Laying on her bed touching her practically flat stomach, Lu AnLing felt a bit strange.
'This child would be loved from birth...' she thought simply as all the people who she had built relationships with came to mind.
She was so happy for the child... it would surely be raised with a lot of love but at the same time, Lu AnLing was still slightly worried.
For a small while now, Lu AnLing knew that there was something Kang Jun was hiding from her. Though it didn't seem like it was only Kang Jun. Even Elder Tang would she her with slight worry sometimes and Lu AnLing found this strange.
She knew that Kang Jun and Elder Tang has something to say but they didn't want to worry her but still... she couldn't help but worry anyways.
Lu AnLing was prone to overthinking things and sometimes getting ahead of herself took a toll on her health; physically and mentally but this time, she would allow it. She needed to be strong and calm for the child in her belly.
As she thought this, Lu AnLing unconsciously touched her phone which laid beside her.
Suddenly, Lu AnLing felt it buzz and so she quickly took hold of it.
On it, there was a message that had been sent by Mo Yichen.
Mo Yichen: [A meeting with the final partner has been set. It'll be in three days at 3pm at Halo Stars Entertainment.]

It didn't take long for three days to pass and for it to be the day to meet the final partner.
On that day, Lu AnLing was smiling wide. She was practically glowing.
Seeing this, Kang Jun couldn't help but smile himself as he touched her cheek lovingly.
"Someone's in a good mood." He said softly as he kissing the crook of her neck.
Feeling his kiss Lu AnLing giggled. "Yea... well it's been a while since I've gone to Halo Stars. I'm not even working nowadays because somebody convinced my boss and their brother that it would be better if I worked from home."
Hearing this, Kang Jun just wrapped his arms around her waist and sighed. "There are intelligent people in this world. And here I had lost hope."
Lu AnLing frowned hard at his comment as she held back her laughter.
After this, the two made it to their car.
Kang Jun had not gone to the office that day but that didn't mean he wasn't working on something. Before then, the man had been out with Rong Xin investigating Rong Yue Wan's movements, trying to figure out who Rong Yue Wan would use to hurt Lu AnLing but still, it was no use.
Rong Yue Wan was smarter than Kang Jun had given her credit for. Or, maybe it was that the woman had been so obsessed with him that she knew how he would go about investigating. Kang Jun didn't know but he was annoyed.
A part of him wished he could just ask Rong Xin to kill her but even he Rong Xin did, there was a large possibility that Rong Yue Wan had already arranged the accident and so her death might only trigger the attack...
And after what his mother had told him, Feng Zhengyi might also be involved in this scheme. If so, Kang Jun would not let either her or Rong Yue Wan escape their fate.
If only Feng Xhengyi had not wanted to take Kang Mei Xue away from Kang Jun and Lu AnLing. If she had just been tamed, Kang Jun, Lu AnLing and the kids could have been far away and safe from this chaos.
The more he thought about what his life was and had been like in T City, Kang Jun couldn't help but long for the life he, his wife and his children would have abroad.
It would be heaven.
Thinking of this, Kang Jun held Lu AnLing a little tighter.
Lu AnLing felt this but instead of commenting on it, the girl looked at the time on their nightstand and said,
"Darling, we should be going, or else we'll be late."

Kang Jun planned to be right by her side today. At all moments. Watching her and protecting her like a faithful knight.

" I understand." Before he hung up.
Kang Jun frowned as he looked at his phone. He then turned to his wife and said,
"I have some important business to take care of, I won't be able to attend the meeting."
Hearing this, Lu AnLing said, "okay... but what happened?"
Kang Jun, who was still frowning, looking down at his phone as if it was an enemy and then he frowned even more.
Kang Jun: "Someone has hacked into the database at Kang Corporations. I need to take care of it." Kang Jun grumbled.
He did not want to leave his wife but if he couldn't abandon his responsibilities either.
Hearing this, Lu AnLing put her hand on Kanh Jun's shoulder and then she leaned in to kiss him on the cheek.
"I'll ask Bingyi for a ride home then." Lu AnLinf said understanding.
Hearing this, Kang Jun shook his head. "I'll personally come to get you, and if I can't, Ronf Xin will."
Now it was Lu AnLing's turn to shake her head.
"No! You don't need to. You're busy as is... As for Ring Xin, He seems rather busy and tired lately." Lu AnLing said softly. She had noticed Rong Xin acting strange lately, also but she never asked him a thing. "So id really rather go with Bingyi."

"Why do you chose today to be stubborn?" Kang Jun asked.
"I'm not being stubborn." Lu AnLing said simply and then she placed her hand on Kang Jun's shoulder. "I know somethings wrong. I don't know what, but I know there's something you're trying to protect me from... but really, who would do anything to me when I'm with the CEO of Tang Corporation? I might be just a simple person, but Tang Bingyi's not. So I'm safe."
