Not wanting to fight, Zeke obeyed, taking the spare seat right beside Kang Mingyu and across from Elder Kang.
Sitting by his son, Zeke felt very awkward but it was worse because of how Kang Mingyu eyed the man with his bright innocence.
Zeke was uncomfortable and Kang Jun saw this but he chose to ignore it.
"Reguardless of that," Kang Jun said referring to what he had said about Feng Xhengyi, "this meeting is about my wife and I but to bring this to an end, we need to mention Kang Zhi."
Kang Jun: "Due to certain circumstances involving someone trying to ruin Kang Zhi's life and reputation, someone had planned on using a drunk girl, in this case, my now wife, AnLing, to sleep with Kang Zhi. This was around the time that he had been married to Qiao Lan so we see why this would be a problem, mostly when it came to succession... however, the plan failed... to truly explain what happened that night, I'll leave it up to Zhi."
Hearing this, Elder Kang frowned.
"Jun, what are you talking about?!" Elder Kang said. A pained expression washing over his face. "Kang Zhi is dead."
"You're wrong grandfather. Kang Zhi never died. In fact, he's sitting right across from you." Kang Jun was nonchalant about his reply.
Looking between Kang Jun and Zeke, Elder Kang was so shocked he didn't know what to say. And the rest of the room mirrored his shock and confusion.
That person wasn't Kang Zhi! Kang Zhi couldn't be alive...
Feeling his eyes water and his lungs collaps, Elder Kang bit his tongue.
"What is this nonsense, Kang Jun!" Elder Kang said as the pain rised up within him. Kang Zhi was dead! The old man did not want to start having small glimpses of hope because this was what had pained him the first year that Kang Zhi had died. He had hoped that there was some kind of mistake but there wasn't...
"It's not nonsense." Kang Jun continued to speak simply. He then turned to Zeke and communicated with the man using his eyes. Kang Jun was imposing.
Feeling this look, Zeke took a deep breath and said,
"Jun's right. I am Kang Zhi..." As he said this, Kang Zhi felt afraid of what was to come but seeing the elders complete disbelief in what Kang Jun had said, Kang Zhi gulped and said, "Father."
Hearing the word 'father' come out of Kang Zhi's mouth, Elder Kang felt his eyes water. Kang Zhi never called Elder Kang father in public. Only certain times he would call the man that, when they were alone, and Elder Kang knew how Kang Xhi sounded how he said this.
"Son..." Elder Kang said as his eyes watered completely.
"Son?" Kang Liu Ran and Kang Nianxi said simultaneously with confusion.
Seeing how Elder Kang was too emotional to answer any questions, Kang Mu sighed. "Yes. Kang Zhi is my younger half brother. My father, and your grandfathers, son from an affair."
Hearing this, Elder Kang's eyes widened. "Y-you knew?"
As Elder Kang said this, Kang Nianxi was completely shocked. He could barely connect the dots but as he was trying, something suddenly came to mind which made him turn his head swiftly towards Qiao Lan.
Qiao Lan was quiet and she just looked at Zeke's face. Examining every inch, repeating his voice in her mind. It was the man she loved... she couldn't believe that he was alive. She was so glad she almost burst into tears on spot but she stopped herself.

"Anyways, we're here to reveal all truths concerning my wife and I and solving everything once and for all." Kang Jun said as he made eye contact with Kang Zhi. "Firstly, the matter with Kang Zhi... first let's start with that night at Hotel Helios years ago. Due to circumstances concerning Kang Zhi's lover at the time, Anna, drugged me and brought me to Lu AnLing's room. Kang Jun was about to continue and reveal all he knew but suddenly a voice stopped him.

Kang Liang nodded. "I know who orchestrated what happened at Hotel Helios."

I was ordered by Feng Zhengyi to destroy Kang Zhi's reputation and ruin his chances of being heir in favour of Kang Jun. as far as heirs go, Kang Jun was the best candidate and he still is, so I found no problems with doing it." Secretary Rong explained somewhat emotionlessly. "Also, I was abiding by young master Zhi's wishes also. He confided in me many years ago that he did not want to become the heir."
