Kang Jun sighed.
"First of all, my wife is not their step mother. She's their mother. And second of all... my line of work won't be a problem anymore." Kang Jun said simply with a frown. As he spoke this, most people in the room already knew what he was going to say, and so, they braced for the bomb about to be unleashed. Kang Jun, looking straight at Feng Zhengyi, said, "I'm giving up my position as the president of Kang Corporations."
Feng Zhengyi's eyes widened as she suddenly slammed the table with her firsts. "You can't!"
Kang Jun: "I've already started preparations. The proper candidate for the next president will be chosen between Kang Nianxi and Kang Liu Ran."
Feng Zhengyi's face twisted with disgust. "If you abandon your position, mark my words, you're never getting your daughter back."
From the sidelines, Kang Mei Xue, Kang Mingyu and Lu Yuxi watched as the woman flared. The three of them became immensely scared and so, they all leaned closer to one another and held each other's hands.
Lu Yuxi then squeezed Kang Mei Xue's hand and the two exchanged a look. They had finally found each other... they didn't want to be separated. Lu Yuxi felt doubt in her heart. She had never experienced such a crushing atmosphere but meanwhile, Kang Mingyu and Kang Mei Xue still had the fire of belief in their eyes. They felt that despite adversity everything was going to be alright.
From the corner of her eyes Lu AnLing had noticed this and so, she put her hand on Lu Yuxi's head. Feeling her mother's warmth, and then looking at her father's unwavering gaze, Lu Yuxi took a deep breath and she decided to believe as Kang Mei Xue and Kang Mingyu did. Their parents would make sure everything worked out.
From the sidelines, Kang Mu had seen the heartwarming scene and so he turned to his mother.
"Mother just give up. Give Jun his daughter back! Don't you see that you're hurting him by keeping his family apart?!" Kang Mu commanded.
Kang Mu hoped he could help but his mother was already long gone. Looking at her son with pure disgust she said, "Hurting him? Don't be an idiot. I'm doing what's best for him. But someone without a brain like you wouldn't understand my motives!"
Feng Zhengyi's face suddenly twisted more. "That woman... those kids... it's not the life Kang Jun should have. Spouses and children only bring suffering!"
Kang Mu felt hurt by his mother's words. The woman truly didn't consider him family despite him being her own flesh and blood. He was worthless to her. Only Kang Jun was important to her...
Inside his heart Kang Mu almost laughed dryly... he opened his mouth to speak but suddenly, Kang Jun interrupted.

"To begind with you have no right to hold my daughter. Biologically she had no connections to you. I am not even a Kang!" Kang Jun announced without shame.
Hearing this, Feng Zhengyi was quiet for a moment but then she laughed out loud. "Not a Kang? Don't be ridiculous."
Even Kang Liu Ran, Kang Nianxi and Kang Zhi were confused. But they didn't speak because they all knew that Kang Jun told no lies...

"I didn't kidnap anyone!" Feng Zhengyi screamed.
"We have proof of sorts." Kang Jun said as he exchanged a look with Kang Liang. "You'll be looking at a lot of prison time for not only attempt at murder, but also for murder, and kidnapping. After this meeting is over we'll be giving evidence to the police."
Hearing this, Feng Zhengyi became delirious. She laughed like a crazy woman and said, "Murder?! I didn't murder anyone."
"Rong Yue Wan, Elder Qiao, Qiao Qingqing. Your plan involved these three, and coincidentally, all three of them have died." Kang Jun said nonchalantly. "Also, evidence has already been placed in order to incriminate you."
After saying this, a sinister expression appeared on Kang Jun's face. He then leaned slightly on the table and said, "I suggest you give up on taking my daughter and run."
After saying this, Feng Zhengyi pushed herself from the table. Her face was extremely pale and her mind was completely blank as she made her way to the door. However, Kang Jun had not actually planned on letting her go.
Kang Jun was prepared for something as such and so, he simply said, "Seize her!"
And then suddenly, guards flooded the room and grabbed onto Feng Zhengyi.
Kang Jun then, for the first time all night, stood up and walked towards the woman.
"You've burned too many bridges. When you're gone, no one will even look for you." Kang Jun said simply.
He then looked at his bodyguards and then she gestured for them to leave. They did as such as they dragged a delirious Feng Zhengyi out the door.
After watching this, Kang Jun then sat back down beside his wife. In one night he had succeeded in elimating all his enemies and he couldn't help but feel good and free from any problems.
Kang Jun, however, also felt tired. He looked to Kang Mingyu to see the boy who continued to look at Kang Zhi and he felt his heart ache.
The biggest battle was yet to come.
