Kang Nianxi was much calmer now than he was before and now that he didn't have anything to work for, Kang Nianxi was at a loss.
As he walked out of the office one day, Kang Nianxi walked passed a large groups of a few of his employees who had a habit of going out together and he frowned.
"When's Wang Tingting coming back?" One employee asked curiously. "Our marketing department is suffering without her."
Another employee put his hands on his hips and sighed. "Well... she's taking care of a baby now and she's married to a Kang so she probably won't ever be coming back... which is unfortunate. We've lost such an intelligent worker!"
The employee from before frowned themselves and then they spoke under their breathe. "This is all the bosses fault..."
The group didn't know that Kang Nianxi could hear them and once they saw Kang Nianxi appear in their sights a part of them felt their hearts in their throats but they then tried to pretend as if they hadn't said anything.
Once the group passed Kang Nianxi they bowed to him awkwardly and then they scurried away and began to speak amounts themselves.
Thinking about what they had said, Kang Nianxi frowned as he drove home and once he was in front of his own house, Kang Nianxi sighed.
Ever since he had given up on being heir something felt wrong within him. He was happy when he was at home and he felt as if nothing could ever hurt him, but when he was at work, he felt as if his whole chest cavity was empty. As if his feelings were filled and his mind was not longer functioning.
It was a strange feeling which brought anxiety to Kang Nianxi's life but the only thing that brought him through the day was the thought of coming home and seeing his wife and son.
Thinking this, Kang Nianxi exited his car and then he entered his house.
Once inside, Kang Nianxi walked into the living room where Wang Tingting sat on the sofa with their son by her side.
The boy was playing with a stuffed animal but once he say his father walk into the room, his whole attention was drawn to the man.
"Zixin, say hello to daddy!" Kang Nianxi said with excitement as he looked at his young son with bright eyes.
He approached the boy happily and then he took the boy into his arms before he swung him around. Feeling this, the boy giggled.
Hearing this, Wang Tingting laughed slightly and then she got up to kiss Kang Nianxi on the cheek.
"You realize he's too young to speak, right?" Wang Tingting said realistically. She then took Kang Zixin our If his father's hands and lulled the boy.
Laughing lightly, Kang Nianxi said, "I know. But if I keep saying it, maybe he'll catch on quicker."
As the two continued to speak, Kang Zixin looked up at his parents with big eyes and a blank look.
It didn't take long for the two to notice their sons look and smile down at the boy. They realized that the boy enjoyed to look at the boy of them and analyze their movements.
Kang Nianxi was going to say something about this, but suddenly Kang Nianxi's phone rang. The man looked down at it without changing his facial expression but once he saw what the message said, a huge frown appeared on his face. Twisting it.
Seeing this, Wang Tingting put her hand on Kang Nianxi's back and said,
"Is everything alright?"
Hearing this, Kang Nianxi sighed, "It's nothing... just work."
This was true, it was just work, but because Kang Nianxi's face was so grave, Wang Tingting couldn't help but worry more. It was not normal for Kang Nianxi to look so depressed.

"Um... I was just wondering but since you're not working anymore, is it possible for me to go to work, instead?" Wang Tingting asked a bit awkwardly.
She hadn't worked for around a year now, and she truly didn't enjoy it. She loved being with her baby boy but at the same time, she felt very bored. She was so used to working or doing something work related and she missed it.
Wang Tingting has felt this way for a long time but she was truly scared of confronting Kang Nianxi with this. It was almost as nerve wracking as the time when she had told Kang Nianxi about her pregnancy and all she had done to Lu AnLing in the past...
