Chapter 8: Evolve, Moonlight Fox
“The Gela Monster has only just passed through, and already this soul pet dares to come here, let’s hope it’s not another ferocious fellow.” Thought Chu Mu.

The bait Chu Mu used are soul core fragments. The soul cores come from within soul pets’ bodies. Generally, most pets use these as food.
The soul core fragments Chu Mu have is limited, and he cannot afford to have these fox cubs repeatedly stealing them.
At last, Chu Mu was fed up, and as the Moonlight Fox cub tried to steal his soul core fragment, he decisively activated the trap!
“Wu~~~~~” The Moonlight Fox cub immediately sensed danger, and reacted unexpectedly quickly. At the moment that the trap sunk, it used its small claws to grab a root buried in the earth, its body hanging fifty centimetres into the trap.
“Sou sou!!!” The young Moonlight Fox moved nimbly. Using the corners of the trap, it jumped back and forth, and skipped towards the surface!
Chu Mu stared blankly. This Moonlight Fox cub, an infant at only stage 1, unexpectedly displayed such nimbleness. This was a trap meant for stage 3 soul pets!
“Sha sha sha!!!”
Just as Chu Mu thought the little guy was going to escape, the little worm on Chu Mu’s shoulder suddenly let out a sound, and immediately shot a string of white silk from its mouth!
The white silk accurately ensnared the jumping Moonlight Fox. It panicked as it has barely escaped the trap, but was tied down by the white silk.
“Pu~~~~~~~”the green worm continued to spit out white, sticky silk, tightly wrapping the Moonlight Fox in several layers, preventing it from escaping.

Chu Mu rewarded the blue worm with some ration, and walked towards the Moonlight Fox. He picked up the fox and climbed back up the tree.

The little fox cub lay in front of him, its eyes turning tirelessly, revealing an expression of unwillingness, looking as if it might escape anytime.

Chu Mu recalled that the first time he met a fox cub, it was a low grade mixed blood between the Red Cloud Fox and the Silver Moon fox.
The second time he met the Blue Star Fox, which also has a low grade, but is slightly higher than the Red Cloud Fox. Chu Mu faintly recall noticing a silver crescent mark on the Blue Star Fox’s forehead, but did not pay much attention at the time.
The third time he met this Moonlight Fox, which has a medium grade. And the most incredible thing is, this little guy also has a silver crescent mark on its forehead.
“The silver crescent mark should only appear on the Silver Moon Fox, why did all three fox cub have it? Could it be that the three cubs are the same one? Chu Mu stared at the fox cub, muttering to himself.

But at this time, some soul pets which possess the evolution bloodline, have a very small chance to evolve to a higher grade race!
In the past, Chu Mu heard stories of a Hunting Wolf with great potential evolving into the stronger Dire Wolf.
The Dire Wolf has a much higher grade than the Hunting Wolf, a stage 6 Dire Wolf can defeat at least three stage 6 Hunting Wolf!
Evolution can be considered a rare occurrence, and definitely the biggest pleasant surprise for soul masters!
