Seeing her reaction, Jun Kai felt at a loss. Was it really her.

Having realised her loss of control over her emotions, she truly regretted exposing herself.

"Mi Rong." Jun Kai called out and took a few steps forward.

As Jun Kai came closer, Mi Rong takes a few steps backwards as well.

She was still shocked but was trying her best to think of how to solve this problem.

Jun Kai did not let her run away from him any longer and forcefully pulls her in. His hands then quickly pulled the mask away from her face.

Mi Rong was not ready for Jun Kai's sudden move and was unable to stop him. The black cloth that was wrapped around as her mask was pulled off, revealing her face beneath it. The cloth flew away along with the wind.

Jun Kai's eyes widened.

It was a blow to Jun Kai. He was taken aback with shock. Different kinds of emotion were rushing inside him. It was stirring up at all once like a hurricane.

No words could describe how he was feeling at the moment.

His hand slowly reached out to the face he had known all along, "Why?" Jun Kai's voice was choking up and could speak no more. It was her all along?

Slowly, Jun Kai tenderly pulls her face closer. He placed his forehead on hers. His hands were slightly shaking and his eyes were expressing his genuine emotions and how confused he was feeling.

How was this possible. All this time, she had been helping him right beside? He recalled of the figure in black that had saved him from the culprit's hand on the auction day. It must have been her. Which could only mean that she was a part of the Xuan group...He sighed heartbrokenly, it was her all along?

Meanwhile, Mi Rong was unable to move. Her entire body felt number by the second and her heart was beating so loud as if it wanted to be heard. She had no explanations for the other person and simply stood still.

Jun Kai took some more steps forward while also pulling her closer to him. His eyes were staring deeply into her deary eyes. Slowly, he leaned over and gently planted a soft kiss on her warm lips. He closed his eyes and as if, on cue, a tear fell from his cold eyes.

With such touch, Mi Rong could feel her blood rushing all over her face. Her cheeks began flushing a bright rosy red colour. Such tenderness was not familiar to her.

Her eyes were confused and only stiffly stood still in his arms.

When Jun Kai planted his kiss long enough, he slowly left his face from hers. His eyes were still gazing at her. He could feel such an intensity of emotions and heaviness in his heart. There was a sharp pain inside his heart. He could no longer take it and decided to pull her into his arms and embraced her as if he was afraid to lose her.

His eyes were shut tightly and his brows were knitted closely together. He felt his heart was slowly being torn apart. He simply hugged her close to him.

Guilt. Gratefulness. And an emotion that he did not dare describe. All were fighting in his heart. As he recalled how she fell from the building, his heart felt such a loss. If he had not caught her, he would have lost her for eternity. These emotions, he had not felt before, not even with Fei Ling.

Jun Kai turned his face to the person in his embrace and called out her name softly,"Mi Rong..." His deep voice echoed in Mi Rong's ear.

His voice was hidden with so many meanings in it. It was just her name, but all his complex feelings were mixed with it. Slowly he opened his cold lips, "I…"

"Sleep." Mi Rong interrupted him before he could speak any more words. It was better this way.
