With his hands still clenched on his left side of his chest, the clad in purple smiled wickedly. The blood along his lips was beginning to dry up.

He closed his eyes slowly before opening them again frigidly. The clad in purple then stood upright as if nothing happened, as if it was not him a moment ago that was clenching in pain. He turned around and walked down the staircase to his pet that was knelt down on the floor.

His steps were slow but it was as if he was gracefully gliding down. Not long, he was in front of his pet bird that had its wings laid flat on the floor in its position kneeling upon its master. He spoke indifferently, "Rise." His confidant had been taken away from him and locked up by the Xuan group, hence he was left with only his loyal majestic bird. However, it would not be like that for long. What belonged to him should rightfully return to him…

The bird meekly rose to its full height in the face of its master, "Master, you have placed your cards well."

"Hm. It's not done yet, my friend. Call Xue Li for me, wake her up or drag her here if you must, but don't hurt her. She may be of a nuisance sometimes, but she's useful to us. Besides, she can't die because of her blood."

"Yes, master." The bird fell back and flew itself out of the window to the darkness of night.

Not long, a slender figure was brought back by the gigantic bird. It had its claws clutched onto the lady's two arms and dropped her almost instantly when her foot had touched the ground marble floor.

In front of her was a clad in purple who was sitting leisurely on his red and gold sofa.

The annoyance was written all over her face but she was biting her lips hurt not to burst in anger. She was still in her nightgown and was awoken in the middle of the night by that dreadful bird. Her burning glare was shot straight towards the black hawk that was resting upon a strong wooden stand, ignoring her stare completely.

"Ah, apologies, my dear Xue Li. You must have been startled." It was the clad in purple who had spoken first. His face was full of smiles and there were no longer any traces of blood to be seen.

"What is it that you want in the middle of the night!?" Xue Li complained immediately.

"Sigh, don't be in such a rush. My proposal might be of your liking."

Though she was slightly persuaded, she still kept her face high.

"Tut tut, if it was about Jun Kai, would you be interested now?"

Instantly, her eyes shot open and she was now all ears.

The clad in purple got up and leaned forward ever so slightly. He clasped in his hands before speaking coldly, "Tomorrow, go to the Feng family's mansion. Go and make a scene for me, but don't tell Mi Rong about your engagement with Jun Kai yet. Just be a nuisance for the Feng family especially Mi Rong."

Xue Li's expression changed from being ecstatic to terrified, "No! I can't go back yet. Mi Rong, she knows! She'll tell Jun Kai what happened, she'll tell everything! There must be something else or another way?" Xue Li pleaded.

Nevertheless, the clad in purple spoke indifferently, "There is no other way. Don't worry about Mi Rong. She'll be kicked out by the time you get there."

Xue Li's eyes were puzzled. What did he mean? Kicked out? Then, her expressions turned a shade darker and a small grin was placed on her face. Well, if that woman is going to be kicked out, she would love to see it herself.

"Besides, I have another plan installed. All you have to do is…"

Xue Li's expression became brighter and brighter. She was beginning to like the proposal even more.

Not long, she was taken back to her house, but this time her mood was much better. Tonight would be the first night she would be able to catch some beauty sleep.

From far behind her, the clad in purple could not help but shake his head slightly. He could not understand those that took pleasure once they could take someone down like Xue Li. He had his own reasons for this, but in truth, he was not far from that either.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.webnovel.com for visiting.

He laughed to himself. Well, it's better off this way. A villain like him should get along with other villains such as her. What was he thinking to himself? Just a load of rubbish...

...

Back in Lin Cheng's house,

A tall figure was standing with his arms crossed inside Lin Cheng's room. His right arm was bandaged with a gauze bandage and some blood was seeping it's way out. His eyes were frigid as he looked outside.

He began to wonder when Mi Rong got to know his mother. He traced his memory way back to the night of the Feng family's ceremony. He remembered, now, Mi Rong had been sitting with his mother on the bench when their dance was over.

There they had talked together. It seemed what he had thought initially was also right; both got along with each other indeed. He had a feeling that they would get along like how Mi Rong got along with grandma Feng.

Though Jun Kai knew and was truly grateful for Mi Rong towards his family this whole time. However, he could not help suppress the disappointment and regret away. If he asked her more or if she had told him more of her aunty, maybe, just maybe he would have figured it out.

Was she hiding the fact from him? But she had said she had no time to ask her aunty's name and had only been calling her aunty 'aunty'. Sigh, what a play of fate.

Lin Cheng was already taken care of and was sleeping in his bed. Fu Li was now patrolling the area. Lin Cheng had been put a seal on so he had been like a vessel for that clad in purple to speak to him.

Everything had been sorted out, but he could not make himself to go back home. He could not face her, for he feared he would not be able to keep his disappointment and blame away.
