Early morning Saad and his Pokemon packed their stuff as they decided to move on. These last few days have been very peaceful. They didn't have any encounter with a Pokemon they would have difficulty fighting with and luckily didn't have any unfortunate accident along the way. The group of four were very much at peace as they followed their everyday routine. Waking up in the morning, walking for few hours onward with the Pokemon's wearing the new weights and training whenever they get time. And after they tire their body out they would take some rest.

A little busy routine for them, but it has slowly become a part of their life. Its been nearly two months since Saad set out on his journey and the time has done nothing but strengthens the bond he has with his Pokemon. He sometimes misses his home but the promise that he made to himself and the future of his that he wants to show his parents made him a little tough.

His Pokemon have become a lot closer to each other, they would fight Pokemon individually and when they learn something new they would share it with each other. And whenever they would get time to rest, they would play among each other refreshing their mental fatigue.

Although these last few days have been tough and busy for the Pokemon, Saad has not been slacking off either. He would constantly monitor them and re-plan their training whenever he feels the need to. And when he is not busy with his Pokemon, he would be either cooking or reading some books.

…...

Right now, he was thinking of taking some rest after hours of walking but suddenly he heard voices in the forest. He turned his face towards the north and muttered,

"Hm that's sound like Pokemon battling"

Saad quickly regrouped with his Pokemon as he walked towards that direction. He walked quietly as he neared and neared towards the source of those noises. He hid behind a tree and tried to take a peep but as he was about to do so, he got the shock of his life when suddenly a face appeared in front of his face.

"...."

"....."

Saad stared at the strange creature in front of himself. It was a humanoid creature with a long white beard and was about 5.5" feet tall. It was wearing a blue training shirt and a black trouser. It gave off a mysterious feeling like it was something from ancient times.

Saad let out a loud shriek as he fell backward after the strange creature appeared in front of him. He quickly crawled back to maintain a distance and stared wearily at the source of his shock. His Pokemon quickly jumped beside him as they also stared at the creature that suddenly appeared in front of them without them noticing.

Saad stared in horror at the creature and stammered,

"What….What are you?"

Saad looked at the creature as it stood up and replied quietly as the wind made his beard dance.

"...Well, I am...…...an old man."

......

It was afternoon and a group of two humans and some Pokemon were busy eating as they sat around a cooking pot.

"Sorry Sir, I didn't mean to be rude back then. I was just shocked when you suddenly appeared in front of me."

"Hahaha, It's okay, I understand your surprise. I too nearly got a heart attack when I suddenly saw a young boy appear behind the trees as I was about to take a leak hahaha"

"....."

"Well young man. Why don't you introduce yourself?"

"Oh, I apologize for my lack of manners. I should have introduced myself a lot sooner. I am Saad a Pokemon Trainer from Sandgem Town."

"Hm, A Pokemon trainer….So, you must be going towards Oreburgh City to get yourself a gym battle, right? "

"Yes sir, you are right. I am planning to get my first badge from there."

The pair continued the talk as they began to get familiarize with each other. The old man was named Veteran Grant, he was a retired Pokemon Trainer who is in the forest to train his Pokemon. He lives near Oreburgh City with his son and his family.

"Sir, If you are retired then why are you still training your Pokemon?"

"Well, just because I am retired does not mean that I can't train my Pokemon. I just don't travel around challenging other Trainers anymore."

"...I apologize, that's was a stupid question from me."

"Nah, it's okay."

"But still sir, why train in this forest away from the city?"

"Hm, that's a good question. You see I am trying to catch a new Pokemon around here with the help of my Staravia", the old man answered as he pointed to the bird Pokemon who was eating together with Saad's Pokemon.

Saad stared at the Pokemon and smiled in adoration,

"It's so beautiful.."

The old man stared at Saad and smiled fondly as he began to remember his grandchild.

After admiring the beautiful Staravia, Saad turned his face to Veteran Grant and continued asking his questions,

"What kind of Pokemon are you trying to catch, sir?"

"It's a Pysduck. My grandchild loves this Pokemon so I decided to gift it to him on his birthday."

......

After Saad and the old man continued talking for a while, they decided to pack up. The old man was going towards the lake which was east of where they were right now, to try and find a Psyduck. According to the old man, the lake is full of water type Pokemon and is a popular site among travelers who wish to get a water type Pokemon. Saad was excited when he heard the old man, he was also thinking of getting a water type Pokemon of his own. So, he asked the old man and asked him if he can join him.

The old man agreed smilingly and so, the excited young Trainer began to move towards the Lake in order to get himself a new Pokemon.
