In the arena, two Pokemon were facing each other with intense eyes and an urge to defeat the each other.
Saad stared at the Rampardos and commanded,
"Luxio! Use Tackle!"
Luxio who was standing there with a resolute look on his face nodded and leapt forward as he began to rush towards the Rock Pokemon with amazing agility.
"Rampardos! Counter it with Zen Headbutt"
Rampardos nodded as his head began to glow brightly and he charged at Luxio with his head lowered.
Soon, both of them collided and a huge boom resounded in the arena as Luxio retreated a few feet back leaving Rampardos just standing there with his deep red eyes.
"Damn! His head is strong", Saad muttered.
"Luxio! Use Spark"
Luxio nodded and his body began to glow with electric sparks. He let out a roar and charged straight at Rampardos.
"Rampardos! Use Zen Headbutt"
Rampardos growled and charged at the upcoming Pokemon with his head glowing blue.
The two Pokemon collided causing electric sparks to scatter in the air as a loud boom resounded in the arena. But this time Luxio didn't step back as he continued to try and push Rampardos back.
The two Pokemon continued trying to overpower one another but both of them failed as they retreated a few steps back.
"Luxio! Use Thunderbolt"
"Lu..xio", Luxio nodded and his fur began to light up with a huge amount of electricity as he lowered his head and threw a huge thunderbolt towards Rampardos.
"Rampardos! Counter it with FlameThrower"
Rampardos growled as fire gathered around his mouth as he threw a huge pillar of fire towards the upcoming thunderbolt.
Both the attacks collided causing smoke to rise up in the air as a huge shock wave travelled in the arena leaving the two Pokemon staring daggers at each other.
Saad stared at the dinosaur and thought solemnly,
"This Pokemon is too strong. First, there are his powerful headbutts making close ranged attacks meaningless and on top of that he has this impressive Flame Thrower to counter long ranged attacks….."
Rocky who was waiting for Saad to make his next move, smiled when he saw Saad just standing there deep in his thought and muttered,
"Looks like I need to take the initiative now…."
"Rampardos! Use Headbutt"
Rampardos let out a roar as he charged swiftly at Luxio who was standing silently waiting for the next command.
Saad who was standing still, thinking hard about Rampardos weakness jolted when he heard the roar and quickly looked at the arena where the Rampardos was charging at Luxio with his head lowered.
"Luxio! Dodge it!", Saad shouted in a hurry
Luxio nodded and as Rampardos was about to collide with him he jumped towards left causing the powerful head butt to miss his body but as Saad was about to heave a sigh of relief he saw the Rampardos to quickly change his direction and ram his head straight at Luxio.
The powerful headbutt sent Luxio flying as he fell a few feet away.
"Luxio!!", Saad shouted while seeing the result of his carelessness.
"Shit! It was my mistake. I should not have shifted my eyes off the arena", Saad muttered as he blamed himself.
Luxio was on the ground slowly stood up and stared angrily at the Rampardos while grimacing in pain.
"Rampardos! Use Headbutt again and again", Rocky said with a calm smile.
Rampardos humphed and ran towards Luxio again fully prepared to send him flying again.
"Luxio! Dodge it.", Saad shouted.
Luxio who was standing there didn't make the mistake to take Rampardos's lightly and jumped a few steps away to dodge the upcoming headbutt.
Rampardos who missed the attack didn't stop as he ran towards Luxio, again and again, trying to hit him with his powerful headbutts while Luxio just kept on dodging the attacks one after another.
Saad stared attentively in the arena as the cat and mouse game continued. His face was filled with sweat as he was beginning to panic. He could not find a single weakness in the opponent's Pokemon no matter how much he thought about it.
But as he was beginning to fall in the despair something clicked in his mind as he stared at the charging Rampardos.
"Is it just me or he is slower than before?"
Saad stared at the Rampardos closely as he rushed towards Luxio with his headbutt targeted at his torso. His speed was impressive as he quickly reached his target who just dodged his attack by jumping away.
"No, it is definitely slower than before…..could it be?", Saad muttered as his eyes quickly went to the bruise on Rampardos legs. His face lit up as he began to smile.
"I got it...Luxio! Don't jump away this time! Try to dodge it while staying close to him", Saad shouted.
Luxio who was getting peeved by the continuous attacks of the damn dinosaur nodded as he began to calm his nerves. He stared at the upcoming Pokemon and took a read stance. He closely monitored the upcoming Pokemon as he got more and more near to him and just as he was about to hit him, he moved a little sideways causing the headbutt to miss.
"Now Luxio! Duck and Bite his legs"
Rampardos who missed the attack did not stop and just like before he slightly turned and rammed his head to his side hoping to hit Luxio again with his headbutt but as he finished the attack, he didn't feel anything collide with his solid head.
Luxio who was on the sideways ducked following the orders and was still expecting to get hit again by the powerful headbutt but against his all expecting Rampardos who was supposed to hit his torso missed. Luxio rejoiced as his fangs glowed brightly and hit bit the Rampardos tightly on his leg.
"Ramp…..ardos!!!", Rampardos who missed his attack didn't have enough time to look for Luxio as something crunched hardly at his injured leg causing him to wail in pain.
Luxio didn't stop and continued biting his legs with all he got causing the skin on Rampardos leg to turn charcoal black due to the scorching electricity. The Rampardos continued to wail in pain as he tried to take his leg out of Luxio's mouth.
Rocky stared wide-eyed at the scene as he was shocked by the sudden turn of events. He looked at his Pokemon who was shouting in pain and commanded in a hurry,
"Rampardos! Quit flailing! Use Flame Thrower to hit him"
Rampardos who was thrashing around his leg trying to get it free from the powerful Bite attack calmed down a little after hearing Rocky as the fire began to gather around in his mouth.
Saad stared at the scene and countless thoughts began to gather around in his head.
"Should I take the chance??...", Saad thought as he saw the fire gathering in the mouth of Rampardos.
"….F**k! I have no other choice. I can't miss this chance", Saad cursed as he shouted loudly,
"Luxio! Don't let him go. Use Charge and then Thunder to counter the attack"
Luxio who was about to let go of the leg in his mouth jolted as he heard the command. He was baffled by the strange command and was about to turn deaf ear it but he quickly calmed down and decided to trust his trainer. His tail began to lit up as electricity began to cover his full body. His body began to glow more and more brightly causing the whole arena to lit up with electricity.
"Don't tell me!!!… That idiot!!!",
Rocky shouted in anger as he saw the Luxio let out a low sound from his mouth and released a huge thunder from his body at exactly the same time as Rampardos who spat the huge pillar of fire from his mouth.
The two attacks collided causing a deafening bang in the air as the whole arena lit up with light. The huge impact caused the whole arena to suffer as rocks began to shatter and dust began to sweep up in the air blinding both the Trainers.
Saad and Rocky tried their best to open their eyes but failed to do so as the blinding light and strong shock waves made it impossible for them to do so.
Soon, the arena began to calm down as both the trainers hurriedly looked at their Pokemon. The dust surrounding the area began to settle down as the two Pokemon appeared in the cross-hair of the astonished Trainers.
