Saad excitedly entered the City and began to roam around a little. He bought some food for himself and his Pokemon and went to visit some cool places in the City. After walking around for a while, he got super tired as he decided to go to the Pokemon Center.

He quickly asked for directions from some locals and head out to the Pokemon Center but was soon interrupted by a loud screech as a bike suddenly stopped in front of him. He was startled and nearly fell down. He quickly composed himself and looked at the stranger that suddenly blocked his way.

The stranger turned out to be a female with green hair and an oval face. She was wearing a police uniform as she jumped off the bike. Saad recognized her and said,

"You scared me, Officer Jenny!"

"Kid! I have never seen you here. Who are you and what is your purpose in visiting Jubilife City? ", said Officer Jenny as she stared sternly at Saad.

"My name is Saad and I am a Pokemon Trainer from Sandgem Town. I am going to Oreburgh City to get my first Gym Badge. I came here to refill my supplies.", Saad quickly answered.

Officer Jenny's eyes turned soft after listening to Saad's answer and she smiled,

"Sorry for startling you kid and Welcome to Jubilife City."

"Thank you, Officer Jenny"

"You are a polite kid. So where are you heading now? As an apology why don't I give you a ride?", smiled Officer Jenny.

"I am going to the Pokemon Center."

"Well, what are you waiting for? Hop on the bike, kid"

.....

With the insane speed of Officer Jenny on her bike, they quickly reached the Pokemon Center. Saad thanked Officer Jenny and went inside the building.

Saad was intrigued by a bunch of Chansey in the Pokemon Center taking care of injured and ill Pokemon. He observed them for a while and smiled after witnessing how cute and caring those Chansey were. He also noticed a bunch of Pokemon Trainers sitting in the waiting area.

After observing some of them for a while Saad went to the receptionist desk where Nurse Joy was attending different Trainers.

"Hello, Nurse Joy, Can you please take care of my Pokemon?"

"Well, hello there, of course, I can take care of them.", nurse Joy smiled and responded to Saad's query.

Saad gave Nurse Joy the PokeBalls and decided to call his parents. He went to the phone booth and dialed the number. After a few rings the call connected and the face of his mother appeared on the screen.

"Hi, Mom! How are you?"

"Saad! My son! Where were you? You didn't contact us for nearly a month. What took you so long? Did something happen? And why do you look so dirty?", Ayna bombarded Saad with a bunch of questions.

Saad smiled embarrassingly and replied,

"Mom! Don't worry I am fine. I stayed in the forest for a few days and decided to train my Pokemon. Speaking of Pokemon, Mom guess what, I managed to catch a Shinx and he is super strong too. I defeated many Pokemon with his help. And Chimchar got a lot strong too….."

Saad began to get excited the more he talked and started to brag about his Pokemon. Ayna quietly stared at his son on the screen and at first, she was a little worried but smiled warmly after hearing his son blabber about his Pokemon. After talking with his mother, Saad heard his father enter the house and ask his mom to get him on the phone.

Saad continued talking with his parents for a while and after he was done he went to the room that he requested from Nurse Joy. He took a bath and after changing his clothes decided to sleep as it was already night.

...….

Next morning Saad didn't wake up early, he just kept lying in the bed comfortably. He just didn't want to leave the warm and cozy bed after missing it for so many days. But unfortunately he could not sleep for much longer as Nurse Joy came to remind him that his Pokemon were ready and he could pick them up now.

He reluctantly got up and after getting ready went straight to Nurse Joy. He took his PokeBalls and decided to go outside to buy a few things. But as he was about to leave from the exit, he stopped as he heard a conversation between two Pokemon Trainers.

"Why is there no Gym in this city? I walked for so many days just to hear that I need to walk a few days more to get my first Badge."

"I can't believe you decided to go out on journey without even knowing the destination. Are you stupid? And what do you mean by getting your first Badge? You can't even beat a single trainer at Pokemon Trainer's School."

"What did you say??? if….if my Pokemon didn't have the type disadvantage I would have surely won."

"Yeah yeah right. But you know there were really some strong Trainers in the school."

"Hm, You are right"

Saad was amused hearing their conversation but what intrigued him was that school they were talking about. Saad has fought with many wild Pokemon during the last few days but unluckily he didn't meet any Trainers during his time in the forest and maybe its because he took a different path to get here.

He really wanted to have a spar with another Pokemon Trainer so that he can judge his skills. So, he decided to go to the School and battle with the Trainers there.

And so he asked for directions from the talking duo and went on his way towards the School.

It didn't take him much time to get there because it was the first building west of the Pokemon Center. It was a two-story building with a large training ground and had a Rattata as the logo. Many Pokemon Trainers could be seen training and sparring with each other.

Saad carefully looked around and entered the building. He saw many Trainers exiting with a sour look on their faces and knew that they lost their match. He went towards the front door and saw a cool statue of a Staraptor and was in awe. As he was watching the statue with stars in his eyes a hand suddenly landed on his shoulder making him jump in fright.

He turned around to see a chubby boy with a green hat on his head laughing at him. He turned a little upset at the boy for scaring like him and began to stare resentfully at him.

The boy saw the angry look on his face and stopped laughing.

"Hi, Sorry for startling you like that. I am Camper, an instructor in this school. How can I help you? "

Saad's expression turned a little soft after hearing him say sorry and smiled,

"It's okay. I am Saad, a Pokemon trainer. I came here to get myself a battle."

"Oh, Nice, if that's the case then how about sparring with me. I am sure I can give you a tough battle. ", Camper smiled as he stared at the young boy in front of him.

"Alright!", Saad responded quickly.

Camper smiled and ask Saad to follow him. After walking outside the building they enter a free battle arena and decided to have the battle there.

"We will both use one Pokemon, the last standing one of the two will be the winner. Do you accept? ", asked Camper

"It's okay.", answered Saad.

"Good, how about you choose your Pokemon first? "

"Got it, Chimchar…..I choose you", Saad replied excitedly as he threw his Pokeball.

After a red flash of light, the fiery Pokemon appeared at the ground and shouted excitedly. Camper looked at the Pokemon and smiled,

"Nice Pokemon,...well now, Torterra I choose you"

Saad furrowed his eyebrows after seeing the huge grass and ground type Pokemon appear in opposition to his fire type Chimchar. Camper smiled after seeing the expression on Saad's face and said,

"Well, now it's about time we start the match."
