Unlike when she was snuggling up against Allen earlier, there was something different this time around. Warmth filled her body; he really is warm. Besides this person, it truly is the warmest place. Kazuya and Allen are completely different from each other; in the past, Lyn didn't think to compare them. But the past week since she stayed with Allen, Lyn unconsciously did so.

"You know, although snuggling up to you is nice. I have sa clear view of something ominous in my eyes," Kazuya said irritated.

At that comment, her hands clasped to her neck, upon realizing what he meant, " Etto… This is," Lyn stammered. How does she explain this?

"Tsk, that damm Rhys. When did he get a chance to do that?"Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click for visiting.

"No, I haven't met with him recently… Um, it was Allen," Lyn awkwardly admitted.

To her surprise, the scowl on Kazuya's face disappeared, " Hmm, I see."

Huh? Is that all? He looked like he was ready to blow up at the thought of Rhys going near her. Yet after Lyn corrected him, his expression changed. That's strange. But this expression, it's similar to the one Allen had earlier. Or maybe she's just overthinking it.

"Your singing."

"Eh?"

"I've heard you've been working on it a lot more."

Ah, Lyn nodded as she sat up. While things like the cultural arts seem like a waste of time for her, when she would rather work on her honing her magic or sword skills. One thing that she could do well and like was singing. A strong gust of autumn breeze blew across her cheeks. " What a nice wind," Lyn murmurs. The air in the land of snow is certainly different than the mist. But Lyn wondered why, why does it feel so comfortable?

"That's right because my singing is my only strong point when it comes to me being a Princess. I'm not that good at dancing, and I'm rather clumsy at other things. There are certain things that I can't do very well. And when I'm posing for a portrait, my expressions are always so stiff at the beginning," Lyn laughed lightly. "Though, whenever I am with my sister, I seem to manage just fine. Perhaps it's that? A competitive spirit."

For the longest time, Lyn has felt such a competitive attitude towards her sister. But not once has she taken proper action.

"Woman are scary," Kazuya said, and she glared in his direction, causing a chuckle to escape his lips, " Is that really the case? I don't think anybody really notices it. Or even if they do, that's just a part of who you are as a person so I don't think they can complain. … So what I'm saying is… The natural you is better," Kazuya said with a bright smile.

A light red color appeared on her cheeks; she really was glad that it was dark out. Otherwise, Kazuya would notice, really… It's only on rare occasions like this where he says something that is worth 100 points. No, she already knew.… Knew despite how scary the aura he emits is, how kind he actually is. Even back then... Despite knowing who she would play for, Kazuya gave her his support and a blessing. Although all the others always talk about him getting mad if she were to go to someone else's side. Lyn knew that if that future were to come across, then Kazuya would still support her. He really is far too kind.

When she heard a rustling sound, Lyn turned to the Kazuya who also sat up. "Kazuya?"

Why does he suddenly look so nervous? Or rather, this must be the first time she has ever seen such an expression on his face. " Actually, I came by because I brought you something."

Huh? Is it documentation from the meeting? She didn't have time to attend the meeting due to Allen taking her away after all.

"Extend your hands out."

Lyn does so, and her violet orbs went wide upon when she saw Kazuya place a gorgeous comb in her hands, "This is…"

Kazuya averts his gaze, a clear blush evident on his cheeks, " I don't really understand anything about women's things, so it was difficult to pick something good. And …let me tell you even with my disguise ongoing to a place like that clearly attracts loads of attention…"

She could clear picture it. Him entering a girly store and trying to be as casual and round about it as he possibly could. He probably dragged somebody with him. Or even Rhys, yeah the second one she could clearly see happening. She chuckled quietly to herself and held the comb to her chest, "It's so pretty," Lyn murmured as she examined the design.

"Do you like it?"

"Yes, very much."

It's her favorite flower. Her gaze softens, he really is a kind person, isn't he?

---

Man, he knew it the moment he bought it for her. That it would be embarrassing. Buying it was already embarrassing enough, but nothing compares to the embarrassment of actually giving it to her. A cute expression, huh? That person said that if he were to give her a present no matter what it is, she would be happy, and she would pull a cute expression for him. Indeed, that guy spoke words of truth.

Right now Lyn is very cute. The black-haired girl's eyes were sparkling, as she gazed at the comb with tenderness. Hmm, so doing things like this once in a while makes her this happy, huh? Even though from the very moment they started dating, they ended up being engaged in intimate actions.

This was the first time he's ever seen such a bright expression on her face. Is she this happy from just getting a gift? " Hey, is it really that important to you? Stuff like this?

Lyn nodded, " Of course, this is the first gift you got me. I'll definitely treasure it…" she fiddles with her fingers, " And this is the first time I've received a present like this… I usually get given practical things. Although I don't mind it since they are things I need. Once in awhile receiving a gift like this makes me happy."

'What that girl needs is probably not just a relationship - but one that has real love. To be treated like a normal girl for one'. So it's exactly like what that guy said, huh? How annoying, that guys far too used to girls if you ask him. However, it isn't bad seeing her like this.

"H--hold on a minute, why are you getting so close all of a sudden?" Kazuya didn't know when but at some point he just got close to her.

"Does it matter? We are going out."

It is amusing to know that she still gets flustered like this. " Umm…. Umm, that's," Lyn trailed and stood up, as though a sudden thought popped into mind. "Oh, that's right, we promised to visit mentor tonight that's why you came calling for me, right?"

He chuckles, " Don't you need to get dressed?" The girl was still currently wearing her night garments.

"Pervert!"

She can hardly blame him for pointing that out. But even so, it really is indeed better seeing her this way.

--------

It didn't take her long to get dressed since Allen already asked the servants to prepare her clothes. Once Lyn was fully changed, she stepped out. Kazuya grabbed hold of her hand, "Alright, let's go."

Oh…

It really is different now. The relationship between them, in the past, she would have to be the one who asked him for stuff like this, and then he would comment on how much of a pain or embarrassing it is. But now though things are different.

Now that she thinks about it, Kazuya's hand to is different from that memory of hers. But that's fine.

After all, Kazuya's hand is the one she can feel enveloping hers right now.
