After Lyn and the other guy left, the atmosphere was somewhat tense. Mother told him to come here since she arranged the meeting. But Andrew didn't know what to say. While he knew the man was alive, it was still a shock for him to see Zepher. What's more, Andrew shifted his eyes about. The scar that he gave Zepher back then still lingers on his face. It was hard for him to look the man in the eye. He felt guilty for what happened before.

He misunderstood and even caused a physical injury that has yet to vanish. It's probably become a permanent scar now. That brief look, Andrew saw of Zepher's eyes showed him more than enough. How much grievances did he suffer the last few years? All because he misunderstood? Andrew didn't drop the search for him for a long time. Zepher was on the run for so long; no matter where he went, people would turn him away.

Andrew felt bitter; it was hard to picture. While Zepher was not spoilt like Kotaro, he was still a Prince. Somebody who lived in luxury, to suddenly be turned away like that. How much did he suffer?

"You don't have to feel awkward. I stopped blaming you a long time ago."

"So, you blamed me?"

Zepher laughed, "Well, I tried not to. Believe me. I didn't want to fight with you over a misunderstanding. But the more I thought about it, the more I wondered. Why didn't you believe me? Sure, if you saw a sight like that naturally, you'd doubt me. But, I thought you of all people would understand."

"Sorry..." he mumbled. "Back then, I didn't think rationally about things."

"I know, you've had it hard too. That's why let's just put this behind us now. And focus on other things," Zepher said. "So, about Lyn."

"If I didn't know any better, I'd assume she was your wife," Andrew commented sarcastically.

Zepher sighed, "Are you going to blame me? I thought you knew."

Yes, he did. He noticed a very long time ago. Maybe even before the fool himself. But just because he noticed before doesn't make this any better. Andrew slumped on the seat with a troubled expression on his face. "Does it have to be Lyn?"

"Well, it probably doesn't. There are countless women in the world."

"Then.."

"But, I tried Andrew. I really tried. In the years, I didn't see Lyn. I was with countless women."

Andrew could sense the pain in his voice. He really must have tried. He did some digging and even heard a few things from his followers. Many told him, 'It's strange that the Lord treats a girl especially. Usually, he would toss them aside after a while..' So it's not like Andrew didn't know. So many people have said it. Even if he feels weird about all of this if Zepher is serious. What can he do about it?

He sighed and slid some papers on the desk.

"What's this?"

"Marriage engagement partners. We needed another candidate for Lyn. You can fill that spot."

Zepher blinked, surprised, "You arranged this meeting for..."

Andrew sighed, "Don't misunderstand. The preparations are on the way for Lyn and Allen to get married. However, if something changes - and if something were to happen to Allen. You'd at least be considered a strong choice."

"Andrew... I'm serious about her, so I will do anything."

"You guys can fight amongst yourselves. But remember that it's Lyn's decision in the end."

His sentence fell short when Lyn entered the room with a tray of soup. "Hot...hot.."

Zepher immediately got up, "Didn't you say you'd make tea?"

"I thought you two would be hungry."

"Himuro, take this tray over."

The blonde-haired man immediately took it from the girl, and Zepher clasped hold of Lyn's hands. "It's all red now..."

Lyn laughed, "Brother, I'm fine."

Andrew observed the two. Maybe, just maybe he made a mistake. In the past, the reason why he was so against it was one they were raised as siblings. Two, the look in Zepher's eyes. Back then, he had the eyes of a beast about to devour his prey. But now? The look in Zepher's eyes is so very gentle. Maybe he really did misunderstand things. It doesn't seem like Zepher will harm Lyn. This may be an unexpectedly good match. What's more, unlike Allen, Zepher knows how to interact with Lyn properly.

He shook his head; he shouldn't go overboard.

.....

"Eh, King John did?" Lyn said, surprised. Andrew decided to stay longer and update the girl on the current events in the Mist Kingdom.

He couldn't miss how she flinched when she said the name, King John.

"Indeed, he said he would contribute to the cause under your name."

"King John?" Zepher mumbled. "That's the creepy guy right, what does he have to do with Lyn?"

Andrew quickly explained things. But as expected, just the mere mention of what happened would make anybody related to Lyn angry. Sure enough, a look of fury appeared on Zepher's face after he said those words. The air turned cold.

Lyn reached over and clung to Zepher, "Brother, don't be angry. I won't say I'm okay or anything. But, right now, it's okay. I have you and everybody else. So he won't try to harm me again."

"..I understand," Zepher murmured. "But, I still wish I knew about it... Wasn't that before I left, you should have told me."

"I didn't want to disturb you, brother; you were very busy then."

These two can really get lost in their world. Has Lyn adjusted to acting as his wife? But then again, maybe this is normal. He never saw how the two interacted with each other.

"As you know, that charity fund you set up for the village was being well received. The fact that he decided to contribute to it drew a lot of attention. Many people are speculating things..."

Lyn sighed, "Whether or not they speculate things. Has he gone down and helped? Both Kazuya and Rhys have interacted with the villagers and helped the sick ones. Just donating a large amount of money won't make him look benevolent. Nor will it change my impression of him."Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.webnovel.com for visiting.

Andrew had to admit that the girl's words surprised him. While he knew his sister wasn't the naive and innocent girl, he once thought. It still surprised him.

"But, I guess he thinks this is enough to curry favor with the people?"

Andrew nodded.

"There are many who are grateful towards him. The amount of money he donated is no small sum, after all."

"How foolish they are being tricked without realizing it."
