*UNEDITED*

Rhys thought she would talk about Kazuya. But, instead she simply laid back down and told him to come over. 'Earlier he was messing with her,' he thought. He had no intention of doing anything to her.

He was speechless. But Rhys knew that there was no way he could get out of this. Besides he doesn't feel like she's safe after hearing such a story. Luxin isn't coming till later too. Right now though he feels like he is fighting a battle in his heart. If he starts thinking that she's cute, it's his loss. Still, who can resist when she looks at him like this?

Rhys down on the edge of the bed, his across his chest as he turned to the girl, "Are you satisfied now?"

"Hand," Lyn demanded. It was a single word, and yet he couldn't say no.

Rhys extended his hand out towards her, and the girl immediately grabbed hold of it. When Rhys saw her expression, he found himself at a loss of words. He placed his hand over his head, " Your acting strange Lyn."

Normally she doesn't act this way, or rather he half suspected something like this to happen when they were younger and not now. After all usually she talks about ghosts and other foreign things with great interest.

She's become so much more stronger so she has nothing to fear anymore. However, right now why does she look so fragile?'

"I keep having nightmares," Lyn mumbled. "Nightmares of us running and running in the darkness…"

As Lyn said this her voice quivered and he saw how badly she trembled. Rhys frowned and tightened his grip on her hand.

"When I looked up you were covered in blood. I kept calling your name but you wouldn't move. When I woke up, you weren't there. You were no longer with me. People told me you died, they said you died years back why did I mention you? Was that a vision from the future? I looked much older then..."

'This girl probably saw something.' Whether she could see the future or not Rhys isn't sure. However, the more likely scenario is someone is using strong magic to influence her. He can't detect anything now. But, he will have to examine the room more later. Rhys found the girl's words peculiar.

A strong level magic? But, how many people in the Mist Kingdom can use such a thing? Not many... Perhaps it's the Second Princess? While the girl's attitude sucks, she's actually a high level magic user. She's strong too, so it wouldn't be a surprise if it were her.

Still, something seemed wrong about that logic.

"I wanted to scream but my body wouldn't listen to me. I couldn't speak, I think I lost my voice. I noticed I was in a strange looking room. I was so scared Rhys, I don't want to loose you like that. So I'm sorry, from now on I want to keep you close to me."

It's because of him?

She is frightened because of him, the thought of loosing him scares her? Rhys couldn't believe it and for a moment he thought it was a joke. She really is a foolish princess.

He drew his hand back causing the girls eyes to widened.

Rhys intertwines their hands together, "You can have everything, so sleep well tonight."

"Stupid Rhys," she murmurs and yet the girl doesn't let go of his hand. It doesn't take long for her to fall asleep and when she finally does, he gently bends down and caress her hair.

"Goodnight my princess."

His thoughts were broke when the doors opened, for a split second he was paranoid thinking it was the fiancée. Even if the third prince knows about their relation with each other, he still wouldn't approve of something like this.

Rhys relaxed once he spotted purple hair. It was a companion of his, his name Luxin. "Close the door."

Luxin did so, "Is she already asleep?"

Rhys nodded, "Mmh."

Luxin strolled over and he clearly saw their interwinded hands and yet he merely nodded. Well Rhys supposed that was one of his good points. He doesn't question things out loud and even if he does, it doesn't take him long to accept it, "It seems as though she's been having nightmares. That the other night, she felt like someone else came here. At first she was going on and on about a joke. But I doubt a ghost would pin someone down," Rhys felt irritated just explaining it.

It was a guy - a guy came here and got so close to her.

"Sleep paralysis?"

"Yeah, she told me she felt drowsy afterwards," Rhys mumbled.

Luxin pulled a face, "There are no problems with the guards in the surrounding areas. Prince Allen slipped his own and so has Lord Zepher …However, there has been that girl in this area frequently."

"That girl?"

"Yes, the one who is always with the Second Prince."

Rhys thought back to his conversations with the second prince and indeed, remembered seeing white hair and emerald always there. Can't be… But just in case, he's going to have to contact those two. His gaze fell on the black princess, she doesn't have to know about this though.

She don't need to know anymore; because it would only cause her more suffering and pain. Tonight she must rest peacefully. He bent down and gently kissed her forehead, before he kissed her lips. It was difficult for him to just get up and walk away considering how her lips were just right there.

....

The qurantee came the following morning.

Everybody was to stay inside unless they had a permit.

Rhys could already imagine the chaos outside the castle. However, it's for their own good. The Stone Kingdom people have the streets occupied. It would be dangerous for any normal civilian to walk around.

His gaze fell towards the girl practicing with Beth . A rare scene. Honestly, he hated it when Lyn used a weapon. That girl deserves to lead a normal live. But instead the path they chose for her is a thorny one. Rhys understood that it was already far too late to turn things back. But--- his thoughts broke odd when he spotted brunette hair emerging from the corner.

Lyn immediately flung Beth's sword away and cheerfully rushed over to the man, "Kazuya!"

Rhys glanced over at Beth who nodded and picked up her stuff to leave.

"Hey, your getting better," Kazuya complimented.

Lyn nodded happily, "Did you come here for me?"

Rhys couldn't miss the glint in the girl's eyes. 'She looks so happy.'

"Mmm, wanted to take a stroll with you."

"Hey, don't you realized were in the middle of a qurantee?"

"Obviously inside."

"Ah, what about Rhys?" Lyn suddenly mentioned.

"We can't just leave him," she looked over at him with a concerned expression.

The corner of his lips turned into a smile.

"She's right, your not being fair," Rhys joined in.

Kazuya's expression quickly turned into a scowl.

"Damn you, how can we go on a date if there's a third wheel going along?"

"But Kazuya, Rhys saved my life."

It seems like this girl understands his importance. Still, he saved her life huh? Back when he did it, Rhys didn't think much of it. All he knew was that he wanted Lyn to get away, to go to a safe place.
