In all her life, people found it difficult to make the woman named Orthez truly angry. After all, minus her responsibilities as a Queen, in her private life, she is a pretty laid back person. For her, there are different stages of anger, and right now, she is displaying the anger that would bring about this mans doom. Orthez wished that Allen discussed it with her first before he brought it up here. If he did, then she would have routed out all the ones with a past history insulting members of the East.

Though people's reactions varied, Orthez did not think somebody would be stupid enough to insult the members of the East with her husband and Lyn around. She scanned the man up and down a few times before the words filth passed her lips. Just those words alone made the man bolt out into a sweat, and it looked like he was about to faint, however, Orthez did not feel pity.

Just a few minutes ago, he was running his mouth about her husband and daughter. Serves him right. Before Orthez could do anything else, somebody grabbed hold of her hand from behind. She turned her head and saw her husband.

"Dai," Orthez said. It was the cute nickname Orthez decided to give to her husband. Though most of the elders tell her to refrain from

"I'm getting tired. Head back with me?"

Most of the people in the room looked at the scene with bewildered expressions. Orthez understood why they were surprised. The banquet just started a little over an hour ago, and now the hosts will leave? It was ridiculous, but Orthez understood his reasoning. She isn't the only one angry, though her husband wore a smile on his face. Orthez understood he was mad.

......

"If your angry, just say so," Orthez snapped.

The two of them had returned to their room, and upon entering Daichi had made his way over to the couch and picked up a book from the table.

Laughter passed her husbands lips, "Why are you so adorable dear Orthez?"

Orthez deeply sighed, "Seriously you, the number of ridiculous things that pass your lips," she didn't bother finishing her sentence as she shook her head. If she tries to argue with him, Orthez knew she would lose. "Anyhow, we really do need to implement that rule."

"Which rule?" Daichi wore an amused look on his face.

She frowned, is he even listening? Since entering the chambers, all he has been doing is reading. Orthez walked over and removed the book from his hands, "Are books more interesting than me?"

"Now dear, Im always paying attention to you."

No, he's always in the clock tower reading his stupid books.

"Since you took me away, you will at least be spending time with me correct?"

Daichi smiled, "Sit next to me, Orthez."

She took a seat beside him, and Daichi gently caressed her hair. The two of them were never the overly affectionate type. Just being close to each other like this was enough for both of them, "Why did you stop me?"

"What are you talking about?"

"You stopped me just now. It's better if I taught them a lesson."

"You already had to use your precious hands," Daichi brought her hands to his face, and Orthez cheeks reddened, causing him to laugh, "Why do you still get embarrassed? After all this time?"

"Quit it, you moron."

Of course, she gets embarrassed. Her whole life, while people treated her like royalty, she was not used to being treated like a girl. She spent more time with her brothers and had more male companions. Even then, though, her beauty was unmatched and most of her male companions supposedly only kept her beside them because they liked her. However, if that were the case, then she does not understand why they treated her like a man before. Even when they treated her like a woman, Orthez felt disgusted and uncomfortable. But only Daichi, only Daichi differed from the rest.

"I have to meet soon,"

"When? I will be sure to come, or rather I can't let you go meet one of your former husbands, especially the one who forced you," it was clear just mentioning it sent shivers down his spine.

Orthez nodded, "Do not tell Lethia about her father."

"It's not the child's fault. But if she were to learn that she was a child born from that situation, that girl would be distraught."

"That is why I am not telling her," Orthez understood her eldest daughters current state, "Lyn is the child born from you the one I love, the same goes for Andrew. With Kotaro's father, things were always more business-like. The only odd one out would be Lethia. I do not wish for that child to make any more moves against her sister. In fact, I get the feeling that she knows something. It's only this year where her attacks on Lyn have increased."

The reports Andrew sent her aside, Orthez is woken up in the middle of the night quite frequently.

Daichi caressed her hair more, "Do you require my presence at night then?"

"Ooh? That would be great; I could use you as a human shield."

"Now my dear wife, that is ---"

Orthez cuts him off as she kissed him, he looked at her with wide eyes, and he laughed, "Why are you kissing me if you get embarrassed a second later?"

Indeed Orthez did not need a mirror to know that her face beet red, she deeply sighed, "This seems ridiculous, getting embarrassed at my age."

"That may be so, but that's is one of the things I like about you Orthez," Orthez saw the serious look in his eyes, but before her husband could lean forward and kiss her, they were interrupted by a dainty pair of footsteps.

"Lyn, what is it?"

It belonged to their daughter Lyn. Did the banquet end already? No, Andrew must have sent her away. Knowing how strongly her sons felt towards Lyn, they are most likely intimidating everybody in the room.

"Daddy, Daddy. Do you know where Kazuya is today?"

"Oh, right. I sent him out of town."

The girl's facial expression turned grim.

"He should be done by now. So if you head back, you will probably run into him."

It immediately brightened at her husband's additional words. "Okay!" Lyn said happily.

Orthez was a bit surprised; she has never seen such a smile on her daughters face before. She wanted to slowly get to know the child, so when she announces Lyn's identity, it would be easier on the child. Her thoughts broke off when she hears the child call out to her.

"Bye Mommy, Daddy," Lyn said, and with those words, the girl scurried away. Orthez blinked, that must be the first time that girl greeted her before. It's a bit refreshing. Her daughter's personality was more similar to her fathers, but even then it had its unique flair to it. No, Lyn is the type of girl her Mother would most likely have liked. If Mother were still alive when she gave birth to Lyn, then surely the child's circumnstances would have been different.
