Lyn had to admit that his question caught her off guard, weren't they just discussing serious matters? Why is he bringing this up now? She looked him up and down, is he joking around with her again? Lyn patiently waited for Rhys to say something like he is joking. But that never came. Instead, she felt something there, something serious, "Why, do you want to know?"

Rhys smiled, "Something wrong? We do spend a lot of time with each other, so isn't it natural I want to know what you think of me? and what relationship we have?"

Sure it sounded all logical now that he explained it to her. But something seemed wrong to her. Not understanding what that something was, Lyn rolled in bed, so she was facing the other side. It's still early; she could use some more sleep.

Still, Lyn knew that Rhys wouldn't give up with just this. She would have to think of an excuse, no an explanation. If she just gave him an answer, then she wouldn't have to fuss about it like this.

...

For the last few hours since she woke up, she had been alone with Rhys. Where was her boyfriend during this time? Completely fast asleep, when Lyn checked on him after breakfast, he wouldn't move an inch. Seeing how tired he was, Lyn decided to leave him alone. Rhys and her looked around the inn, and no sooner had they sat down for lunch did she see the maroon colored hair that belonged to her boyfriend at the door.

Kazuya didn't notice that she had gone. He slept right up until lunchtime, just as the inn staff placed the dishes on the table. Kazuya walked into the room. Kazuya ran his hand through his hair as a yawn passed his lips, "Morning."

"It's lunchtime idiot," Rhys scolded, "Do you think we're on vacation or something?"

Rhys was placing some food on her plate and talking about nutrients and being exhausted after last night. Lyn, however, couldn't care less about Rhys right now as she focused on Kazuya's appearance. His hair was slightly messy, and his clothes crumpled in certain areas.

Oh, he has bed hair. It looks cute, Lyn extended her hands out, and Kazuya smiled as he sat down next to her and pulled her into his arms, the second he did she felt warm, "Morning my cute Lyn,"

'My' and 'Cute,' Lyn flushed red at his words and laughed, "Ah-huh, morning," even though Rhys gave her that compliment earlier. Lyn didn't feel this way; she felt embarrassed. But she didn't feel such happiness till Kazuya said it.

He brushed his forehead against hers, "Do you have a fever? You seem hot."

"She has one, so I would suggest staying here for a few days."

Kazuya nodded, "That would be better."

"Ah, but," Lyn protested, "Shouldn't we get going?" It was already bad enough that she was a hindrance to them, let alone delay the journey.

Kazuya frowned, "But you're sick."

"A light fever."

"For now, it was high earlier," Rhys interjected, and Lyn shot him a glare. She was planning on keeping that from Kazuya, but now Rhys has said it there's no use in pretending.

Lyn nodded, "Ah-huh, but it's just the effect of my birthmark," she raised her sleeve to show the mark on her hand, "See, when it glows this color. It's okay to move around," Lyn didn't realize that by doing this, she just caused the other two to panic. Rhys abruptly stood up and made his way to the door; she watched him puzzled, "Um?"

Kazuya placed his hand to her lips, and Rhys leaned on the door, "Somebody was there."

"Positive?"

"Yeah," Rhys ran his hand through his hair, "I thought so earlier, but this inn is odd. Perhaps staying here a few days is a bad idea. But if we move around when the Princess is sick, then the situation would surely become worse."

Kazuya sighed, "Damn, I should have known she would surround the inn. I shouldn't have gotten her angry."

Rhys raised his eyebrows, "So the person you went to meet was Princess Lethia?"

Ehhhh? Lyn looked towards her boyfriend with a somewhat shocked expression, 'he didn't tell her that,' Lyn thought. While it was just a small lie that was necessary, Lyn felt uncomfortable. Kazuya lied about meeting another woman, not just any other woman too - it happened to be another woman who liked him. When Lyn thought about it, she still felt odd about it. Who knew her proud sister, would fall in love? Eldest sister Lethia is always talking about finding the right person, and how these things take time, etc. One of the seldom few decent conversations they had, Eldest sister told her, 'You can't just fall in love recklessly.'

Recklessly, Lyn wondered if that's what her love with Kazuya looked like towards everyone. Despite knowing of their relationship, Allen's parents and other relatives aren't bothered - in fact, the other day they openly brought up the wedding ceremony in front of Kazuya.

In everybody's eyes, her love with Kazuya is something fleeting, something that will not last long. And the sad thing is, Lyn isn't sure herself. She 'loves' Kazuya correct? Otherwise, why would she agree to be in a relationship with him?

Kazuya sighed and nodded, "That woman is absolutely crazy."

"What, she forced a kiss on you or something?" Rhys nonchalantly said. Lyn glared harshly in his direction, but Rhys merely shrugged his shoulders. Even as a suggestion, that gave her disturbing thoughts.

"..."

"..."

Sensing Kazuya's silence, Lyn felt her heartbeat sped up. Eh, could it be?!!! Kazuya sent her an apologetic look before he broke it to her, "Sorry, it caught me off guard."

Eldest sister and Kazuya did that.

Just the mere thought of it was disturbing, but actually knowing they did it made her feel incredibly upset. She tugged on his arm, "Better than me?" Lyn asked. While she knew this was hardly the time to act jealous. Her sister has a lot of experience, so it worried Lyn that Kazuya would...

Her thoughts broke off when his face inched towards her, "It was terrible. I like my cute Lyn's kisses better," it was just a few words. Words anybody could say, and yet Lyn felt reassured.

Lyn leaned into his hold, "That's good."

"Mmmm."

Just as she was about to ask Kazuya something, Lyn felt somebody's gaze on her and found that Rhys was looking at her intently. What is he doing? Lyn initially chose to ignore him, but when their eyes met. It felt like her heart would stop.
