Mu Nanzhi was not kidding when she promised that she would hunt a wild boar for him. Since she had realized that she truly teed Lu Zhishan off this time, she wanted to hunt a boar even more out of guilty. She practiced really hard and kept struggling for many days. She soon got thinner but she did look more energetic than before.
As March came, Mu Nanzhi got more and more excited to participate in the spring hunting.
So that day she got up rather early on her own, which made Jixiang pretty surprised. Mu Nanzhi quickly make a simple chignon with a piece of red hair rope rather than gold or silver hairpins. The ends of the hair rope reached over to her waist.
Jixiang was busy helping her get dressed. Mu Nanzhi changed into a pale pinkish grey suit that was designed with propitious cloud pattern embroidery and round neck made by delicate brocade. She then tied the belt, on which two fragrant bags were hanged. Putting on the pair of boots which was made of deerskin, Mu Nanzhi looked much smarter. Jixiang couldn’t help fixing her eyes on her praising, “Princess, you are so pretty. If you were a young man, so many girls will be attracted by you.”
Mu Nanzhi raised Jixiang’s chin with the handle of her whip, and then asked flirtatiously, “My lady, I hear that you feel so lonely these days. Are you missing me?”
